Stretchable film and method for forming the same
A stretchable film is made of, at least as a top surface of the stretchable film, a cured product of a stretchable film material containing a silicone polyurethane resin. The top surface of the stretchable film has a repeated uneven pattern formed with depths of 0.1 μm to 2 mm and pitches of 0.1 μm to 5 mm. Thus, the present invention provides a stretchable film having excellent stretchability, with the film top surface being excellent in water repellency and free from sticking; and a method for forming the stretchable film.
Multiphenylethynyl-Containing and Lightly Crosslinked Polyimides Capable of Memorizing Shapes and Augmenting Thermomechanical Stability
The invention generally relates to shape memory films that are tri-functionally crosslinked and that comprise multiple, non-terminal, phenylethynyl moieties. In addition, the present invention relates methods of fabricating such films. Due to the improved properties of such SMPs, the SMP designer can program in to the SMP thermomechanical property enhancements that make the SMP suitable, among other things, for advanced sensors, high temperature actuators, responder matrix materials and heat responsive packaging.
ECO-FRIENDLY WEARABLE DIPPED ARTICLE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING
The present invention generally relates to an eco-friendly wearable article comprising a nutrient complex capable of efficiently able to reduce or eliminate methane gas emission during biodegradation of the article, and a method of making the eco-friendly wearable article containing the nutrient complex. Preferably, the nutrient complex typically comprises anionic sulphate ions and cationic salts of iron(II) and copper(II), thereby facilitating methane oxidation in an anaerobic environment such as a landfill.
Method of fabricating a casting
A method of fabricating a casting, the method including applying a substrate to a sacrificial mold, the sacrificial mold including a shaped non-planar receiving surface to receive the substrate and provide a casting of the substrate having a shaped structure corresponding to the receiving surface; and subjecting the sacrificial mold and casting to freeze drying conditions and sublimating the sacrificial mold from the casting to form a cast article including the shaped non-planar structure.
Integrated fiber microneedle device for drug and vaccine delivery
Systems and methods are provided for fabricating microneedle arrays that includes electrospun fibers preferentially disposed within the microneedles of the array. Providing the electrospun fibers preferentially in the microneedles allows for more of a drug or other substance present in the fibers to be deposited into tissue or to provide other benefits. A mold for forming the microneedle arrays includes an insulating surface layer. The insulating surface layer affects the electric field during electrospinning such that electrospun fibers are deposited preferentially within the microneedle cavities of the mold relative to the surface of the mold. A bulk material can then be applied to the mold to form the bulk of the microneedles with electrospun fibers embedded within and a backing layer to which the microneedles are attached.
Polyurethane film comprising graphene and preparation process thereof
A polyurethane film comprising a polyurethane resin and graphene, wherein the graphene is present in an amount of 1 to 30% by weight on the total weight of the film and consists of graphene nano-platelets, wherein at least 90% has a lateral dimension (x, y) of 50 to 50000 nm and a thickness (z) of 0.34 to 50 nm, wherein the lateral dimension is always greater than the thickness (x, y>z), wherein the C/O ratio is ≥100:1, and a preparation process thereof.
Method for fabricating lightly crosslinked polyimides with phenylethynyl pendants for shape-memory effect and programmed enhancement in Tg and modulus
The invention generally relates to shape memory films that are tri-functionally crosslinked and that comprise multiple, non-terminal, phenylethynyl moieties. In addition, the present invention relates methods of fabricating such films. Due to the improved properties of such SMPS, the SMP designer can program in to the SMP mechanical property enhancements that make the SMP suitable, among other things, for advanced sensors, high temperature actuators, responder matrix materials and heat responsive packaging.
Composition for dip molding
A glove including a cured film of an elastomer containing a (meth)acrylonitrile-derived structural unit, an unsaturated carboxylic acid-derived structural unit and a butadiene-derived structural unit in a polymer main chain, wherein the elastomer contains 20 to 40% by weight of a (meth)acrylonitrile-derived structural unit, 1 to 10% by weight of an unsaturated carboxylic acid-derived structural unit and 50 to 75% by weight of a butadiene-derived structural unit, and has a crosslinked structure of a carboxyl group in the unsaturated carboxylic acid-derived structural unit with an epoxy crosslinker containing an epoxy compound having three or more epoxy groups in one molecule.
DISPOSABLE GLOVES AND METHODS OF USING AND MAKING
A disposable glove and a method for making the disposable glove that reduces or eliminates glove cuff roll-down. The disposable glove includes a treated area on the interior surface of the glove that extends from the hand area to a portion of the wrist-forearm area of the glove but such that at least a portion of the interior near the glove opening is untreated. The untreated portion of the interior surface of the disposable glove resists glove cuff roll-down when the glove is positioned on a user's hand and forearm.
