A sound insulation material 1 includes a first layer 10 constituted by a polyurethane foam, a second layer 20 that is laminated on a surface of the first layer, the surface being located on a first side, and that is constituted by a sheet-shaped member made from a material other than polyurethane, and a third layer 30 that is laminated on a surface of the second layer, the surface being located on the first side, that is constituted by a polyurethane foam, and that, over its entirety, has a higher density than the density of at least a portion of the first layer.
FIBER-REINFORCED POLYIMIDE RESIN MOLDING PRECURSOR AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
The present invention provides a molding precursor for a fiber-reinforced polyimide resin molded article, which is formed by impregnating a functional fiber with an addition-reaction type polyimide resin. The molding precursor has a melt viscosity in the range of 300 to 3200 kPa.Math.s under conditions of keeping for 1 to 10 minutes at a temperature 5 to 20° C. lower than the thickening-start temperature so as to effectively prevent a fiber-reinforced polyimide resin molded article from warping. The present invention provides also a method for producing the molding precursor.

A method is proposed for producing a functional material, wherein in at least one mixing step (14) a pulverized rigid foam (16) and at least one binding agent (18) are mixed to form a raw mass, and wherein in at least one pressing step (22) the raw mass is pressed to form the functional material, the method proceeding in a continuous manner at least from the mixing step (14) up to and including the pressing step (22).
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING HEAT-RESISTANT CONTAINER
Upon manufacturing a heat-resistant container using PET sheet, high heat-resistance is achieved without a stretching operation. The method comprises a molding sheet-making process, wherein a sheet is made including organic acid metal salt particulates produced by allowing an inorganic basic material or carbonate that is solid at ordinary temperature to react with an organic acid that is solid at ordinary temperature in the equivalent relationship, and a container-molding process, wherein, the molding sheet made in the molding sheet-making process is heated to 80-130° C., formed into a container shape by a vacuum or vacuum-pressure forming machine using a mold, and heat-set by keeping at 130-220° C. in the same mold, and the container formed in the container-molding process has a crystallinity of 18% or more.
HITCH STEP AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING
The present invention relates to a hitch step that may be secured to a vehicle in a hitch receiver, and a method of manufacturing the same, that overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art. The present invention provides a multi-step pressurization method that produces a strong, compact hitch step that is cost effect to manufacture.

A large area patterned film includes a first patterned area; a second patterned area; and a seam joining the first patterned area and the second patterned area, wherein the seam has a width less than about 20 micrometers. A method for tiling patterned areas includes depositing a predetermined thickness of a curable material; contacting a first portion of the curable material with a mold; curing the first portion of the curable material; removing the mold from the cured first portion of the curable material; contacting a second portion of the curable material with the mold, such that the mold contacts a portion of the cured first portion of the curable material; curing the second portion of the curable material; and removing the mold to yield a seam between the cured first portion of the curable material and the cured second portion of the curable material, wherein the seam has a dimension less than about 20 micrometers.
Molding die and compression molding Method
A molding die and a molding method are provided, which allow high-cycle manufacturing of molded bodies of a thermoplastic resin or thermoplastic resin-fiber composite material, thereby improving productivity. Molding is performed using a molding die including a plurality of die portions that form a cavity in which a molded body is molded, the molding die including: a first temperature adjusting unit disposed in the vicinity of the cavity surface and capable of at least cooling the cavity surface; and a second temperature adjusting unit disposed on a side of the first temperature adjusting unit opposite from the cavity surface and capable of at least heating the cavity surface, wherein a distance L0 from the cavity surface to the first temperature adjusting unit and a distance L1 from the cavity surface to a surface of the corresponding die portion opposite from the cavity surface satisfy the relationship: (L1/L0)>3.

A method and apparatus for manufacturing a filler for a composite structure. The apparatus may comprise a filler. The filler may comprise a fiber matrix that is uniform in all directions. The fiber matrix may comprise a first plurality of discontinuous filaments and a second plurality of discontinuous filaments. Each filament of the first plurality of discontinuous filaments may be comprised of a stiffening material. Each filament of the second plurality of discontinuous filaments may be comprised of a binding material. Discontinuous filaments of both the first plurality of discontinuous filaments and the second plurality of discontinuous filaments may be randomly oriented and entangled with each other.
CONFORMABLE SEAMLESS THREE DIMENSIONAL ARTICLES AND METHODS THEREFOR
Waterproof, breathable garments and methods of making are provided. The garments may include a laminate of a seamless ePTFE membrane and at least one textile. The garment is conformable over a range of sizes, and may be shaped to fit numerous sizes and shapes of forming molds. The ePTFE membrane may shrink to fit, or, alternatively, be stretched to fit, a mold having a desired size to form a garment. Such a conformable ePTFE membrane may allow for forming multiple sizes of garments with various sizes and shapes of molds. In embodiments where the ePTFE membrane is seamless and continuous, the garment eliminates the need for a waterproof seam tape, which is conventionally used to make garments waterproof.
