SILICONE OPTICS
Silicone-containing light fixture optics. A method for manufacturing an optical component may include mixing two precursors of silicone, opening a first gate of an optic forming device, moving the silicone mixture from the extrusion machine into the optic forming device, cooling the silicone mixture as it enters the optic forming device, filling a mold within the optic forming device with the silicone mixture, closing the first gate, and heating the silicone mixture in the mold to at least partially cure the silicone. Alternatively, a method for manufacturing an optical component may include depositing a layer of heat cured silicone optical material to an optical structure, arranging one or more at least partially cured silicone optics on the layer of heat cured silicone optical material, and heating the heat cured silicone optical material to permanently adhere the one or more at least partially cured silicone optics to the optical structure.
INJECTION MOLDED COLD-EXPANSION COMPRESSION COLLAR
A compression collar is manufactured for use in reinforcing an interference fit between an end of a pipe and a fitting. A precursor form is injection molded using a cold-expansion material. The precursor form has a tubular body with an initially closed axial end and a bore that is initially blind formed in the other axial end. Material is removed from the initially closed axial end of the tubular body of the precursor form to form an opening in the initially closed axial end that connects to the bore thereby forming the compression collar. The opening has an inner periphery with a profile in axial cross section that is different than any profile in axial cross section of an inner periphery of the bore. The collar formed may lack knitlines and may include tabs formed during the removal step which help to position the collar on a pipe.
Sterile adapter drive disks for use in a robotic surgical system
Generally, a sterile adapter for use in robotic surgery may include a frame configured to be interposed between a tool driver and a surgical tool, a plate assembly coupled to the frame, and at least one rotatable coupler supported by the plate assembly and configured to communicate torque from an output drive of the tool driver to an input drive of the surgical tool.
POLYAMIDE COMPOSITIONS HAVING A HIGH MODULUS AND A LOW DIELECTRIC CONSTANT AND USE THEREOF

CRYSTAL NUCLEATING AGENT FOR POLYOLEFIN RESIN, METHOD FOR PRODUCING CRYSTAL NUCLEATING AGENT FOR POLYOLEFIN RESIN, AND METHOD FOR IMPROVING FLUIDITY OF CRYSTAL NUCLEATING AGENT FOR POLYOLEFIN RESIN
The present invention aims to provide a method for improving the fluidity of a crystal nucleating agent for polyolefin resins without impairing other properties, and a polyolefin resin composition containing the crystal nucleating agent with improved fluidity and having excellent properties including transparency, and a molded article thereof. Adjustment to specific characteristics can improve the fluidity of a crystal nucleating agent for polyolefin resins, and the use of such a crystal nucleating agent having specific characteristics remarkably improves the workability during molding processing and provides a polyolefin resin composition excellent in properties such as transparency, and a molded article thereof.
Curable granular silicone composition, semiconductor member comprising same, and forming method thereof
A curable particulate silicone composition is disclosed. The composition comprises: (A) hot-melt silicone fine particles having a specific reactive functional group; (B) an inorganic filler; and (C) a curing agent. The content of component (B) is in the range of from 87 to 95 vol. % of the total composition. The curable particulate silicone composition provides a cured product having an average linear expansion coefficient of not greater than 15 ppm/° C. in a range of from 25° C. to 200° C. The curable particulate silicone composition provides a cured product having a very low average linear expansion coefficient over a wide temperature range when cured and is particularly suitable for overmold molding and the like.
Method for manufacturing supporting body
A method of manufacturing a support member, which includes a tubular-shaped tubular part and a coupling part coupling one portion and another portion of an inner circumferential surface of the tubular part to support a ventilation membrane, includes filling a fixed mold and a movable mold with a thermoplastic material or a thermosetting material, wherein the thermoplastic material or the thermosetting material is injected from a gate in the coupling part to be charged from the coupling part toward the cylindrical part.
FREE BLEND-TYPE METAL POWDER MIXED RESIN MOLDED BODY MANUFACTURING METHOD
An object is to manufacture molded bodies having a small variation among products even if the mixture amount of a metal powder is increased when molding is performed by directly introducing not only a metal powder but also a powdered resin into an injection molding machine.
In a metal powder mixed resin molded body manufacturing method for manufacturing a molded body by kneading a molding material including a metal powder, a thermoplastic resin powder, and an additive agent, molding is performed by an injection molding machine in which a molding screw is arranged. The molding screw of the injection molding machine includes a feeding portion, a compressing portion, and a metering portion that are continuously and integrally provided, the feeding portion and the compressing portion are constituted by an one-line spiral flight, the flight of the compressing portion includes a plurality of sub-flights that extend in a spiral manner in a screw axis direction and the sub-flights each have a polygonal shape with rounded corner portions, and the sub-flights are arranged such that the corner portions are shifted by a set angle in a circumferential direction about the screw axis, and the metering portion is provided with a plurality of blending/aligning portions each having gear-like protrusions and recesses in a circumferential direction about the screw axis.
