Apparatus for applying heat shrinkable casings onto preinsulated pipe joints
An automated heat shrink device, useful for forming a connection between two tubular sections having a polymeric outer surface jacket, for example, a connection between two sections of a district heating pipeline, and a method of use thereof. The device is configured such that it requires minimal clearance to either side of the pipeline when being used.
Method of lining a pipeline with a delayed curing resin composition
A resin composition and method for installing a pipe liner that allows the liner to be fully wet out with a resin and activator and stored for a period of up to six months prior to installation and curing. A method of lining a pipe with a delayed curing resin composition is also provided that includes fully wetting out a liner with a blended two part epoxy composition such that the liner can be transported in a wet out fashion, placed in a pipe to be lined and repositioned as needed without concern for the resin composition to begin curing.
Masking method for honeycomb formed body, plugged portion forming method for honeycomb formed body, and manufacturing method of honeycomb fired product
A masking method for honeycomb formed body, including bonding a film on at least one bottom face of a honeycomb formed body in a quadrangular prism shape such that an adhesive surface is in contact with the bottom face. The step of bonding the film includes bonding of the film so as to have a bottom face covering portion that covers a whole surface of the bottom face and a pair of outer edge portions along one pair of opposite sides of a quadrangle defining an outer peripheral shape of the bottom face and a pair of protruding portions protruding from another pair of opposite sides of the quadrangle. At least a part of the adhesive surface of each of the pair of protruding portions is bonded so as to be in contact with a pair of opposing lateral faces of the honeycomb formed body.
Construction of tubular assemblies
A method and apparatus for constructing a tubular assembly 40 comprising an inner portion (24) and a further portion (23) surrounding the inner portion. The inner portion (24) comprises reinforcement (37) and the further portion (23) being formed from a strip (50) of material comprising two opposed longitudinal marginal side portions (53). The apparatus comprises an assembly station (220) comprising a wall (253). The apparatus comprises means for advancing the inner portion (21) along a first path (231) extending passed the wall (253), and means for advancing the strip (50) along a second path (232) and causing the strip to encircle the wall (253) and thereby wrap about and surround the inner portion (21). The apparatus further comprises means (321) for introducing resinous binder into the reinforcement (37) as the strip (50) is being wrapped about the inner portion (21).
Surgical Instrument System and Irrigation Sleeve
A surgical instrument system including an endoscope having an elongated housing extending between a proximal instrument end and a distal instrument end. The surgical instrument system may further include an irrigation sleeve having a sleeve body extending between a proximal sleeve end and a distal sleeve end. The irrigation sleeve may further have a first lumen and a second lumen spaced out of fluid communication with the first lumen, the first lumen formed in the sleeve body for receiving at least a portion of the elongated housing of the endoscope with the distal instrument end arranged adjacent to the distal sleeve end. The second lumen may be formed in the sleeve body and extend between a lumen inlet adapted for fluid communication with an irrigation source and a lumen outlet arranged to direct irrigation fluid toward the distal instrument end.
Liners And Methods Of Making Liners
The present disclosure relates to liners and methods of making liners. The liners may be suitable for use with tanks and other storage/containment vessels, such as process tanks, immersion tanks, indoor or outdoor containment pits, gravity feed conduits (e.g., concrete trench, canal, or drain, etc.) for transferring or conveying liquid, grain storage tanks or containers (e.g., dielectric or electrically non-conductive liners for grain storage, etc.), etc.
SIMPLIFIED STACKED PALLET AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
The inventors have discovered that certain hot melt adhesives can be used to form a stable stacked pallet that can limit the need for additional packaging materials e.g. inter-layer and pallet wrap.
METHOD OF INSTALLING LINER ASSEMBLY FOR PIPELINE REPAIR OR REINFORCEMENT, AND LINER ASSEMBLY AND STEAM GENERATOR FOR SAME
A steam generator for use with a liner assembly for pipeline repair or reinforcement, includes: a water heater configured to heat water to generate steam; a water feed conduit configured to convey water to the water heater; an air heater configured to generate heated air; an air supply conduit configured to convey pressurized air to the air heater; a heated air supply conduit configured to convey heated air from the air heater to the water heater to yield a steam-air mixture; and an output conduit configured to convey the steam-air mixture from the water heater. An automated steam generator system including the steam generator is also described.
HYBRID PISTON PIN AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A hybrid piston pin and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The hybrid piston pin includes a cylindrical pin formed of steel, a first reinforcement layer that is formed of a composite that includes reinforced fibers and a resin, having a cylindrical shape with a uniform thickness, and coupled to the interior surface of the cylindrical pin. A second reinforcement layer is formed of a composite that includes reinforced fibers having an elasticity that is less than the reinforced fibers of the first reinforcement layer. Further, a resin having a cylindrical shape with a uniform thickness is coupled to the interior surface of the first reinforcement layer.
HAND-HELD SQUEEGEE WITH RING LOOP
A hand-held squeegee for applying or installing wraps and/or films to surfaces. The hand-held squeegee includes a blade portion, a handle portion, and a ring loop portion. The hand-held squeegee is placed over or around a user's finger so that the squeegee can rotate about the user's finger between use and non-use, and is conveniently secured to the user's hand even when it is not actively in use by the user or when the user is using another tool.
