Method in which a vehicle interior trim part with a decor layer comprising paper layers is produced
A method in which an interior trim part for a vehicle is produced. The method includes the steps of providing a block of material comprising a plurality of paper layers connected to each other by at least one resin, cutting the block into slices, wherein a cutting plane has an angle between 5 and 85 in relation to layer planes of the paper layers, providing a flexible support layer and applying at least one of the slices to the flexible support layer to obtain a flexible composite layer, and providing a rigid carrier and applying the flexible composite layer directly or indirectly to the carrier.
Method of manufacturing glass fiber product and portable electronic device
A manufacturing method of a glass fiber product is disclosed. A glass fiber resin is provided. The glass fiber resin includes a thermoplastic resin, a glass fiber, and an additive. The amount of the thermoplastic resin is between 30 wt % and 70 wt %, the content of the glass fiber is between 40 wt % and 70 wt % and the amount of the additive is between 0.1 wt % and 15 wt %. A molding process is performed for the glass fiber resin to mold the glass fiber resin into a semi-finished product. A mechanical machining process is performed on the semi-finished product to form at least one recessed structure in the semi-finished product, so as to form a final product.
METHOD FOR CREATING FULL COLOR HEAT ACTIVATED TRANSFERS
The present disclosure provides a method for transferring an image to a substrate that includes providing a transfer medium having at least one registration mark; printing an image on the transfer medium; covering the image with a backing layer, the backing layer not covering the registration mark; covering the backing layer with an adhesive layer; penetrating the adhesive layer and the backing layer with a cutting device at locations around the image, the penetrating of the adhesive layer and backing layer not penetrating the transfer medium; removing portions of the adhesive layer and backing layer from the locations around the image; and transferring the image to the substrate.
Composite sheet with visible filler and manufacturing method
A solid surface sheet includes visible, elongated, shredded cuttings uniformly distributed throughout a matrix wherein the cuttings and the matrix have substantially the same specific weight and wherein a majority of the cuttings are substantially elongated. Related methods are also disclosed including shredding a first mix while in a gel state, curing the cuttings, sorting by size, and using as a filler in a base material to form a blend having a unique appearance and high internal strength. The preferred material is polyester or acrylic. The solid surface sheet can be used as a countertop, floor or wall panel, furniture, and in similar applications.
Method of manufacturing a piece comprising several parts connected together
Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a final piece including several materials, the final piece being produced at least according to the steps of: inserting an elastomer (5) in at least one insertion cavity (6) of an initial piece (2) so that the elastomer (5) is in contact and fixed with the initial piece (2); then cutting the initial piece (2) in at least two distinct parts (3, 4), so that the at least two distinct parts (3, 4) are fixed together but not in contact with each other, the at least two distinct parts (3, 4) being connected together by the elastomer (5). This may be applied to manufacturing a final piece including several parts, of various natures, connected together.
Systems and methods for manufacturing bulked continuous filament
A method for manufacturing pellets from polymer, comprising: (1) melting polymer flakes in a first section of a melt processing unit to create a first single stream of polymer melt; (2) separating the first single stream of polymer melt into multiple streams of polymer melt by means of a separation element; (3) passing the multiple streams through a multiple stream section of said melt processing unit and exposing the multiple streams to a pressure within the multiple stream section of the melt processing unit as the multiple streams pass through the multiple stream section; (4) recombining the multiple streams into at least one combined stream of polymer melt; and (5) cooling the polymer melt and forming said pellets from the at least one combined stream. The intrinsic viscosity of the at least one combined stream may be determined and, in response, the chamber pressure within the multiple stream section adjusted.
Treatment agent for short fibers, aqueous solution for treatment agent for short fibers, treatment method for short fibers, production method for short fibers, and short fibers
The present invention addresses the problem of improving friction characteristics, when wet, of fibers to which a treatment agent for short fibers is adhered, and improving the heat resistance of the treatment agent for short fibers. This treatment agent for short fibers does not substantially include a phosphate compound, but does contain the fatty acid (A) below and a non-ionic surfactant. The fatty acid (A) is at least one fatty acid selected from C1-6 fatty acids, C1-6 hydroxy fatty acids, and salts of the aforementioned fatty acids.
COMPOSITE PANEL HAVING PERFORATED FOAM CORE AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A method of forming a composite panel in-line is disclosed. The method includes the steps of forming a hot thermal plastic sheet of material and providing the hot thermal plastic sheet of material to a punch having punch members extending outwardly therefrom. The hot thermal plastic sheet of material is advanced through the punch in order to form apertures through the hot thermal plastic sheet of material such that each aperture extends from an outer surface of the hot thermal plastic sheet of material to an inner surface of the hot thermal plastic sheet of material. An outer metal sheet and an inner metal sheet, respectively, are coupled to opposing sides of the hot thermal plastic sheet of material.
ELECTROCHEMICAL CELL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE ELECTROCHEMICAL CELL
An electrochemical cell includes an electrode body which includes a positive electrode and a negative electrode and an outer package which is formed by overlapping a first member and a second member. The outer package includes: a housing portion which houses the electrode body; and a sealing portion which is formed along an outer circumference of the housing portion, by fusing and bending the first member and the second member, at a portion corresponding to the outer circumference of the housing portion.
