DOUBLE TAMPER EVIDENCE CAP FOR A NECK OF A CONTAINER, SYSTEM INCLUDING SAID CAP AND A CONTAINER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAID CAP

The invention pertains to an improved container (e.g bottle) cap which is a single use leakproof closing, which shows obvious indications of an illicit opening and re-use, having a double level of tamperproof means.

This cap is a screw cap (1) for a neck (2) of a bottle (3) comprising an upper part (4) removable from the neck (2) and a lower part (5) non-removable from the neck (2). Said lower non-removable part (5) is a tamper evidence band (TEB) linked to the bottom edge (12) of the cap's skirt (11) by annularly regularly distributed frangible connection bridges (13) which are designed to be broken at the first licit opening of the bottle by unscrewing and removal of the upper part (4) of the cap (1). Said TEB also displays any breaking in of the cap (1) before the first container (3) opening, thanks to additional lower markers (18) which are composed of annularly regularly distributed frangible connection bridges (18). Upper frangible bridges (13) and lower frangible bridges (18) are below the top edge (2) of the neck (2) in the original closed position of the cap and define a top ring (5) of the TEB (5) which is intact after the first licit opening.

PROCESS FOR PREPARING CONTACT LENS WITH FILM BY PLASMA UV INDUCED GRAFTING POLYMERIZATION
20190224714 · 2019-07-25 ·

A process for preparing contact lens with film by plasma UV induced grafting polymerization is disclosed to plasma-modification on contact lens to form hydrophilic functional groups on said contact lens surface, and then to immerse said contact lens in a solution of the mixture of NVP, PEGMA and photoinitiator, and then remove said contact lens from said solution and expose said contact lens to an ultraviolet light from an ultraviolet device to form a thin film on said contact lens surface. Through the thin film, the contact lens can have good hydrophilicity and anti-fouling properties, so when the patient wear said contact lens, he or she does not feel uncomfortable foreign body sensation, significantly reducing deposit and corneal infection risk.

Hybrid fastener and method of making the same
10350718 · 2019-07-16 · ·

A hybrid fastener comprises a composite body having a tip, and a metal sleeve surrounding and locked to the tip.

Apparatus for fabricating composite fasteners

Composite fasteners have a high fraction of discontinuous, randomly oriented reinforcing fibers. A charge of thermoplastic fiber flakes are heated to melting temperature within a reservoir, flowed into multiple mold cavities and compression molded. The molded fasteners have high strength, exhibit quasi-isotropic properties and may be produced in high volume.

Process for molding hollow workpieces

An apparatus and process for molding workpieces usable for consumer products. The workpieces may be injection molded with a cavity formed by a core pin and have an undercut, such as internal threads, in the cavity. The apparatus has a drive system with a stripper plate mounted for alternatingly forward and retracting axial movement. The stripper plate is axially driven and drives a stripper sleeve barrel cam and a core pin base barrel cam, each having respective cam followers. The respective motions of the cam followers are superimposed on a stripper sleeve insert, which drives a core pin sleeve. The core pin sleeve is subjected to responsive three-dimensional motion, allowing an internally threaded workpiece to be unscrewed from the core pin sleeve. The system does not require separate drives for the core pin sleeve and further allows each mold cavity/core pin combination in a mold half to be unique.
