DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING GREEN TYRES
A device for loading at least one carcass drum with tire components for green tires, a tire-building machine and a method for producing green tires. The device for loading the at least one carcass drum with tire components includes a placing device, which can move linearly in the horizontal direction, for delivering material components to a carcass drum, wherein the at least one placing device can be moved vertically so that a vertical movement in addition to or alternatively to the horizontal movement is facilitated and, in this way, the ply server is designed to be self-opening.
CROSSHEAD DIE
The invention is directed to a crosshead die for the extrusion of a profile, such as a uniform ply coat for a tire. The crosshead die is used with an extruder, and includes a body. An inlet is formed in the body, and is in fluid communication with the extruder. An outlet and a flow channel are also formed in the body. The flow channel extends between the inlet and the outlet, and is bounded by an upper wall, a lower wall, a first side wall, and a second side wall. The flow channel is formed with a bend and a cross section that includes a trapezoidal shape to align the flow of elastomer with the center of the flow channel.

METHOD FOR GENERATING LOAD ESTIMATION MODEL IN TIRE UNIFORMITY TESTER
In a tire uniformity testing apparatus which measures uniformity of a tire by measuring a load applied to the tire pressed against a rotary drum, a load estimation model is generated which is used to control a pressing position of the rotary drum, and generates a load estimation model indicating a relation between the pressing position of the tire with respect to the rotary drum and the load applied to the tire. The load estimation model is generated by: holding the tire in which uniformity has already been measured for each characteristic value; acquiring a nominal model depending on the characteristic value of the tire; and generating based on the acquired nominal model.
Multiple Layer Foam Insert for Tires
A multiple layer foam insert replacement for a pneumatic inner tube for a tire. The multiple layer foam insert emulates the effect of air pressure, across a range of pressures, while still approaching the weight of the air filled tube. Through the use of different density materials and the orientation and thickness of such materials, the desirable characteristics of the pneumatic tube structure and performance can be emulated to a high degree. This multiple layer foam insert can be produced in varying levels of quality and function through the method of extrusion of foam materials in different sizes and layering.
Method for manufacturing a tyre blank by means of a ply comprising two rubbers
A method for manufacturing a raw blank of a tyre includes using a calender to produce a ply. The calender includes two rollers with a gap situated therebetween. A ply that includes a first rubber material is formed in the gap of the calender, with a bead of the first rubber material being formed upstream of the gap. The bead and the gap of the calender are fed with a second rubber material, different from the first rubber material, to form at least one insert in the ply.
FILLER-RAISING DEVICE
Disclosed is a filler-raising device that raises a filler upright to couple the filler with a bead core. The filler-raising device includes a balloon that raises the filler upright toward the bead core and an air controller that supplies air into the balloon and draws air out of the balloon.
Tire for a handling vehicle
A tire for a handling vehicle, designed to transport heavy loads, over short distances and at low speeds, and a mounted assembly consisting of a tire mounted on a rim. Also, a method for producing such a mounted assembly. A mounted assembly includes a tire mounted on a rim, having a tread designed to come into contact with a ground, two sidewalls extending radially inwards from the ends of the tread, and two beads extending the sidewalls radially inwards and in contact with the rim, an internal cavity containing a filling component consisting of at least one incompressible solid element, and which is a granular filling component consisting of granules at least partly separated from one another by interstices containing at least gas, and the fill rate, which is the ratio between the total volume of the granules, the total of the elementary volumes of the granules, and the volume of the internal cavity, is at least equal to 0.8.
Tread cracking inspection device
The present invention comprises methods and apparatus for inspecting a tread. Such methods include providing a tread having a top side and a bottom side, one of the top and bottom sides including a tread feature extending into the thickness of the tread. Such methods further include bending mechanically a transverse extent of the tread relative the tread thickness along a portion of the tread to be inspected about a bending member to form a bent portion of the tread, the portion of the tread to be inspected including the tread feature such that the step of bending expands the tread feature to further expose a depth of the tread feature within the thickness of the tread for inspection. Such further methods include constraining the tread on opposing sides of the portion of the tread to be inspected to maintain the bent portion of the tread in a bent arrangement.
METHOD FOR ESTIMATING LOAD MODEL IN TIRE UNIFORMITY TESTER
A tire uniformity testing apparatus (1) measures uniformity of a tire (T) by measuring a load generated on the tire (T) pressed against a rotating rotary drum (2). A load model used to control a pressing position of the rotary drum (2) and express a relation between the pressing position of the tire (T) against the rotary drum (2) and a tire load generated in the tire (T) is configured to successively measure the tire load, while changing the pressing position of the tire (T) against the rotary drum (2), and to estimate the tire load using the measured value of the measured tire load.
