A system for automated horseshoeing. The system is a three cell concept generally including a tool change area, a gluing area and a modification area. The system generally include a platform for a horse to stand thereon wherein all working components are contained below. The system is configured so that a horse can stand on said platform and the working components move from hoof to hoof thereby allowing the horse to remain in a neutral standing position during the entire shoeing process without having to bend it's ankle. The automated horseshoeing process of the present specification is entirely monitored by a farrier.

The components attach to a sole, which is intended to be positioned beneath the animal's hoof. One or more retention panels extend upward from the sole. A first wrap panel and a second wrap panel also extend upward form the sole. Elastic and VELCRO attachment features are preferably used so that each of the components may be positioned in a suitable location for a particular animal's anatomy. Other closure devices, such as buckles or snaps, could also be used.

The pick tool extends through the handle and out one end, curves into a flex fulcrum, and then extends upwards to a pick tip. The handle has two finger stops and a tool mount that releasably mounts an interchangeable tool head. The tool head can be a collateral groove brush head, bale twine cutter head, etc. The collateral groove brush head is adapted to fit within the collateral groove of an equine hoof and provide enhanced cleaning. The V-shaped brush head also efficiently cleans the central groove of the frog and other areas. Together, the components of an enhanced equine tool provide a plethora of enhanced functionalities that allow the equine caregiver to efficiently clean the hoof and undertake other tasks as well.

The present invention relates to cromoglycate and a salt thereof and compositions for the prophylactic and/or therapeutic treatment of a dry hoof condition and/or for use in increasing hoof growth in ungulates. Cromoglycate and a salt thereof and the compositions are useful to treat and maintain hooves in healthy condition.
