HIGH-ENERGY DIE-BASED WELDING PROCESSES FOR AIRFOIL DE-ICERS
A method of manufacturing a de-icer assembly includes positioning a first welded-material layer and a second welded-material layer between a die and a die base of a die-based welding system, wherein at least one of the die and the die base includes a welded-portion pattern configured to weld the first welded-material layer to the second welded-material layer in the pattern such that inflatable portions are formed within the welded-portion pattern formed in the de-icer assembly between non-welded sections of the first welded-material layer and the second welded-material layer, pressing the first welded-material layer and the second welded-material layer together between the die and die base, and applying high energy to the die-based welding system using a high energy source such that the first welded-material layer and the second welded-material layer are welded together at the areas in the shape of the welded-portion pattern to form a welded de-icer assembly.
CHLOROPRENE COPOLYMER LATEX AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
One embodiment of the present invention relates to a chloroprene copolymer latex, a method for producing a chloroprene copolymer latex, a chloroprene copolymer latex composition, and a molded article or dipped product of a chloroprene copolymer rubber. The chloroprene copolymer latex is a latex of a chloroprene copolymer including monomer units derived from 2-chloro-1,3-butadiene (chloroprene) and monomer units derived from 2-methyl-1,3-butadiene, wherein the tetrahydrofuran insoluble content in the chloroprene copolymer is 20% by mass or less, and the proportion of the monomer units derived from 2-methyl-1,3-butadiene is 10 to 27 mol % in the chloroprene copolymer.
CHLOROPRENE/UNSATURATED NITRILE COPOLYMER, CHLOROPRENE/UNSATURATED NITRILE COPOLYMER COMPOSITION AND VULCANIZED MOLDED ARTICLE
A chloroprene-unsaturated nitrile copolymer having 3 to 20% by mass of a structural unit derived from an unsaturated nitrile monomer, in which the chloroprene-unsaturated nitrile copolymer has a peak at 5.80 to 6.00 ppm in a 1H-NMR spectrum as measured in a deuterochloroform solvent, and a ratio (A/B) of a peak area (A) at 5.80 to 6.00 ppm and a peak area (B) at 4.05 to 6.20 ppm is 0.6/100 to 1.1/100.
Biodegradable elastomeric film composition and method for producing the same
The invention relates to a method to manufacture an elastomeric article includes preparing a former for shaping the elastomeric article; dipping the former into a coagulant solution which including one or more one or more polyvalent metal salt, surfactant, wetting agents, anti-tack materials, non-settling agents, and biocide; dipping the coagulant-coated former into a synthetic latex composition from 20° C. to 40° C. at least once to create the elastomeric article; pre-leaching the elastomeric article for not more than 10 times; vulcanizing the elastomeric article to enable effective crosslinking; surface treating the vulcanized elastomeric article form 60° C. to 140° C.; post-leaching the elastomeric article at temperature of 30° C. to 95° C.; applying donning aid to the elastomeric article; drying the elastomeric article; and stripping the elastomeric article from the former. The elastomeric article has a thickness of 0.001 to 5 mm, a minimum tensile strength of 7 MPa, and an elongation above 300%.
Seal for a vacuum material lifter
A seal for a vacuum lifter and method of manufacture wherein the seal has a continuous unbroken outer fluid resistant skin of elastomer which forms a boundary around a homogeneous cellular structure with no interior seams or joints.
LOW PERMEATION TYPE C AIR CONDITIONING HOSE
An improved Type C air conditioning hose is provided that meets or exceeds SAE J2064 and J3062 requirements, offers good flexibility and fracture resistance, and exhibits improved permeation ratings for refrigerants including R134a and R1234yf. The multilayer type C barrier air conditioning hose includes a novel inner elastomeric tube layer capable of direct bonding to plastic without an intervening adhesive.
CHLOROPRENE COPOLYMER LATEX COMPOSITION AND MOLDED ARTICLE OF SAME
The present invention relates to a chloroprene copolymer latex composition, a molded article of chloroprene copolymer rubber, or a dip-molded product, and the chloroprene copolymer latex composition includes a chloroprene copolymer (A) and a vulcanization accelerator (B). The chloroprene copolymer (A) includes monomer units derived from chloroprene and from 2-methyl-1,3-butadiene. The chloroprene copolymer latex composition includes a carbamate-based vulcanization accelerator and a thiazole-based vulcanization accelerator as the vulcanization accelerator (B). The chloroprene copolymer latex composition enables production of a molded article having high flexibility and high tensile strength without use of a vulcanization accelerator that is feared to have skin sensitization.
