A composition for rubber, including a chloroprene-based polymer latex (A), a metal oxide (B), an antioxidant (C), a surfactant (D) and a pH adjuster (E), and being free of a vulcanization accelerator, in which a tetrahydrofuran (THT) insoluble matter content in a chloroprene-based polymer in the (A) is from 50 mass % to 85 mass %, and in which contents of the (B), the (C), the (D), and the (E) with respect to 100 parts by mass of a solid content of the (A) are from 1 part by mass to 10 parts by mass, from 0.1 part by mass to 5 parts by mass, from 0.1 part by mass to 10 parts by mass, and from 0.01 part by mass to 5 parts by mass, respectively.

Method for extruding plastic materials

The invention relates to a process for extruding plastic compositions, in particular polymer melts and mixtures of polymer melts, above all thermoplastics and elastomers, particularly preferably polycarbonate and polycarbonate blends, also with the incorporation of other substances such as for example solids, liquids, gases or other polymers or other polymer blends with improved optical characteristics, with the assistance of a multi-screw extruder with specific screw geometries.

Seal For A Vacuum Material Lifter
20180094728 · 2018-04-05 ·

A seal for a vacuum lifter and method of manufacture wherein the seal has a continuous unbroken outer fluid resistant skin of elastomer which forms a boundary around a homogeneous cellular structure with no interior seams or joints.

System for constructing balloon envelopes

An assembly for use during manufacture of a balloon envelope that includes a table having first and second levels, an indicator disposed on the first level and a sealing component. The first level is arranged to receive a first sheet portion of material. The indicator is arranged along a lengthwise axis of the table to indicate a position for attaching a tendon to the first sheet portion. The second level is arranged to receive assembled gore portions of the envelope comprising the first sheet portion, the tendon and a second sheet portion of material. The sealing component is configured to move along the table and to apply a heat seal to bond together the first and second sheet portions disposed thereon in order to form at least part of a gore portion of the envelope, such that the tendon is arranged proximate to a centerline of the gore.

Non-skid safety mat for providing adhering support when placed upon a sloping roof
09834937 · 2017-12-05 · ·

An anti-skid mat including a skid-resistant material exhibiting flexible properties and having a generally planar configuration with a length, width and thickness. A plurality of hinges or flex lines design into the material and which enable the material to conform to any irregular surface associated with the metal roof. The mat underside can include any or both of magnetic attracting or conformal adhering undersides such that placement of the material upon a sloping magnetic attracting or non-attracting roof securely supports the weight of a user standing on the mat without slippage relative to the roof.

Tendon placement for high-altitude balloons
09701061 · 2017-07-11 · ·

Aspects of the disclosure relate to manufacturing balloon envelopes for use in high-altitude mesh networks for packet-data communications. As an example, a gore portion may be placed on a table such that the gore portion overlies a groove within the table. A tendon may be placed on the gore portion and within the groove. A portion of tubing may be placed over the tendon. The tubing may have one or more surface openings. Restraining tape is applied over the one or more surface openings in the tubing. A constant force roller is applied to secure the tendon to the gore portion and to secure the tendon to the tubing. As an alternative or in addition to the surface openings, double-sided restraining tape may be placed between the tendon and the tubing. The tubing and restraining tape may prevent undesired lateral and longitudinal movement of the tendon during deployment.
