SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTINUOUSLY MANUFACTURING CURED MEMBRANES
A method of continuously manufacturing a cured membrane includes continuously compounding and mixing a vulcanizable rubber composition in a mixing extruder while continuously removing gasses from the vulcanizable rubber composition during mixing with a vacuum. The vulcanizable rubber composition may be continuously extruded to form an extrudate, which may be continuously calendered to form a green membrane. The green membrane may be continuously cured, such as by a hot air conveyor curing system, to form a cured membrane.
Method for manufacturing magnetic encoder
Provided is a method for a magnetic encoder having a magnetic body comprised of a magnetic rubber molded article, comprising a mixing step of mixing and then kneading a nitrile rubber (A), a ferrite magnetic powder (B) and a vulcanizing agent (C) to provide a magnetic rubber composition; and a molding step of molding and vulcanizing the magnetic rubber composition in a mold to which a magnetic field is applied to provide the magnetic rubber molded article, wherein a content of the ferrite magnetic powder (B) is 700 to 1500 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the nitrile rubber (A); and a compressed density of the ferrite magnetic powder (B) is 3.5 g/cm.sup.3 or more. According to this method, a magnetic encoder having a magnetic body with high coercivity and residual magnetic flux density can be produced by vulcanizing a magnetic rubber composition having favorable moldability.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTINUOUSLY PRODUCING A SEMI-FINISHED PRODUCT FOR THE PRODUCTION OF SELF-SEALING TYRES
An apparatus for producing a semi-finished product with a strip of sealing compound for building tyres, having at least one unsaturated styrene thermoplastic elastomer, one bonding resin and one cross-linking agent is described.
RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
There is provided a rubber composition for additive manufacturing that allows rubber shaped articles to be favorably produced using an additive manufacturing apparatus. The rubber composition for additive manufacturing of the present invention comprises a liquid rubber.
HOT-MELT ADHESIVE RESIN FILM AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF
The present invention relates to a hot-melt adhesive resin film which does not cause peeling between respective layers, has an excellent adhesive force, and has strong adherability even in severe durability evaluation, to various planar or film-like adherends such as metal, glass, and plastic, and a production method thereof. More particularly, the present invention relates to a hot-melt adhesive resin film including a first adhesive layer, a first intermediate layer, a substrate layer having heat resistance, a second intermediate layer, and a second adhesive layer, which are laminated in this order, in which the first adhesive layer and the second adhesive layer comprise an acid-modified polyolefin resin, and a production method thereof.
Sealing material
The invention relates to a sealing material, to a gas seal made of this sealing material, and to a method for the production of such a gas seal made of this sealing material. The sealing material contains a bromobutyl elastomer in an amount of 100 parts by weight, a filler material in an amount between 10 and 100 parts by weight for setting the volume of the sealing material, a curing agent in an amount between 0.5 and 3.0 parts by weight for curing the sealing material, and a cross-linking component in an amount between 0.1 and 2.0 parts by weight for bringing about a peroxidic cross-linking of the sealing material. This sealing material permits a particularly high vacuum-tightness (that is to say, a low leakage rate) in comparison to sealing materials according to the state of the art, and accounts for resistance, on the one hand, to aggressive gases and, on the other hand, to pump oils such as, for instance, perfluoropolyethene oil or silicon oil.
Elastomeric additive manufacturing composition
A composition useful for additive manufacturing is comprised of a thermoplastic elastomer blended with an aliphatic polyketone, wherein the thermoplastic elastomer is a continuous phase having dispersed therein separated domains of polyketone. The composition is useful for additive printing methods employing heating and extrusion of the composition to form extrudates that are printed an article comprised of fused layers of the composition. The composition facilitates the formation of extrusion based elastomeric additive manufactured articles.
Articles Formed From Fluorine-Containing Elastomer Compositions Using Additive Manufacturing Methods and Additive Manufacturing Methods for Thermoset Elastomer Compositions
An apparatus suitable for extruding curable polymers for forming elastomer articles using additive manufacturing, and curable fluorine-containing polymer compositions suitable for use in such an apparatus are disclosed along with an additive manufacturing method for forming a fluorine-containing elastomer including providing a curable fluoropolymer composition, comprising at least one curable fluoropolymer; providing an additive manufacturing printer apparatus comprising a ram material extruder, wherein the ram material extruder comprises a ram device operable for extrusion under pressure and a printer nozzle; introducing the curable fluoropolymer composition to the ram material extruder; applying heat to the ram device, including the printer nozzle thereof; and applying pressure to the ram device to extrude the curable fluoropolymer composition; and printing, using the additive manufacturing printer apparatus, at least one layer of the extruded curable fluoropolymer composition exiting from an outlet of the printer nozzle onto a substrate to form the fluorine-containing elastomer article.
