Elongated elastomeric parts and mandrels for facilitating removal of elongated elastomeric parts formed thereon

A mandrel configured to facilitate release of an elastomeric part cured thereon may comprise an elongated body having an outer surface, an internal cavity formed in the elongated body, and a passage providing fluid communication between the internal cavity and the outer surface of the body. The passage may be dimensioned so as to permit a flow of a fluid from the internal cavity to the outer surface of the body and to preclude a flow of an uncured elastomer into the passage. The flow of the fluid from the internal cavity to the outer surface may cause the fluid to intervene between the outer surface of the mandrel and the elastomeric part to facilitate the release of the elastomeric part from the mandrel.

Latex blends of amorphous perfluorinated polymers and articles derived therefrom

Described herein is a latex blend comprising (i) an amorphous perfluoropolymer and (ii) an aqueous dispersion of semi crystalline fluoropolymer particles, wherein the particles comprise a TFE homopolymer or a TFE copolymer comprising no more than 1 wt % of a second fluorinated monomer, wherein the semi crystalline fluoropolymer particles (a) have an MFI (372? C. with 2.16 kg) of less than 50 g/10 min or (b) are not melt processible and have an SSG of less than 2.190, wherein the semi crystalline fluoropolymer particles have an average diameter greater than 100 nm.

Method of adhering silicone rubber film and glass sheet together
20180170802 · 2018-06-21 ·

A method of adhering a silicone rubber film and a glass sheet together contains steps of: (A). Pouring liquid silicone rubber into a mold in a vacuum condition so as to form a silicone rubber film with 0.2 mm thickness after the liquid silicone rubber solidifies; (B). Placing a glass sheet into the mold and pressing the glass sheet on the silicone rubber film in the mold by way of a press plate; (C). Baking the silicone rubber film in a temperature of 80 C. to 150 C. for 20 minutes to 30 minutes; and (D). Removing the glass sheet and the silicone rubber film from the mold. Thereby, the silicone rubber film does not attach on the inner wall of the mold as being removed from the mold.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING REINFORCED WEATHERSTRIP
20180154567 · 2018-06-07 ·

Methods for manufacturing fabric-reinforced weatherstrip include incorporating a fabric application step into a process for making coated substrates. In one embodiment, a strip of the fabric from a roll of material may be applied directly onto a coating after it has been applied in a coat die to a foam profile, while the coating is still in the molten state. Alternatively, a fabric application plate may be attached to an upstream side of coating die with a fabric feed channel cut into the plate. The fabric follows the channel to contact and mate with the foam profile. The fabric applicator plate may be configured so as to exert pressure on only the part of the product where the fabric is being applied. Ultrasonic welding techniques may also be employed.
