CROSSLINKED MOLDED ARTICLE AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF
The present invention provides a crosslinked molded article having a lower compression set; and a method for producing a crosslinked molded article by injection molding, the method enabling shortening of one cycle in injection molding, the method being suitable for obtaining a crosslinked molded article having a lower compression set. The present invention relates to a method for producing a crosslinked molded article, comprising melt-kneading a polymer composition containing a polymer having a terminal double bond, a hydrosilyl group-containing compound (Y) having at least two hydrosilyl groups per molecule, a platinum-based catalyst (Z) for hydrosilicon crosslinking, and a reaction inhibitor (D), subjecting the polymer composition to injection molding in a mold, performing primary crosslinking in the mold, removing the primary-crosslinked molded article from the mold, and then performing secondary crosslinking in a heat medium.
Brominated Isobutylene Paramethyl-Styrene Elastomer Curing Bladders
A composition can comprise: an elastomeric composition formed into a curing bladder, the elastomeric composition comprising: 100 parts per hundred parts rubber (phr) of an elastomer comprising a C.sub.4-C.sub.7 isoolefin, a non-halogenated alkylstyrene, and a halogenated alkylstyrene; 1 phr to 7.5 phr alkyl phenol formaldehyde resin; and 0.5 phr to 5 phr mercaptobenzothiazole disulfide. A related method of making a tire curing bladder comprises: mixing 100 phr of an elastomer composition comprising a C.sub.4-C.sub.7 isoolefin, a non-halogenated alkylstyrene, and a halogenated alkylstyrene, 1 phr to 7.5 phr alkyl phenol formaldehyde resin, and 0.5 phr to 5 phr mercaptobenzothiazole disulfide; and molding and curing the mixture into the shape of a tire curing bladder.
ELASTOMER COMPOSITE INCLUDING ALGAE BIOMASS FILLER
An algae-elastomer composite including an elastomer matrix; algae; and a mixing additive sufficient to achieve a desired property. The algae can be present in a milled condition having a particle size value of between about 10 and 120 microns. The algae is mixed with the elastomer matrix in a dry condition having a moisture content of below about 10%. A method of preparing the algae-based elastomer composite is provided that includes the steps of: premixing an elastomer matrix; adding an algae filler; adding a mixing additive that includes a plasticizer; forming an elastomer-algae blend by blending the algae and elastomer to a temperature sufficient to be further mixed, wherein the temperature is about 10° C. higher than the temperature sufficient for the elastomer alone; adding and mixing a curing or vulcanizing agent for the elastomer dispersing the elastomer-algae blend; and heating and curing the elastomer-algae blend into a final form.
Breach Detection Glove with a High Contrast Between the Color on the Donning Side and the Grip Side of the Glove
Elastomeric articles, such as gloves, made from more than one layer, are provided. The gloves can include a first (grip side) layer in which a first colorant is compounded or integrated and a second (donning side) layer in which a second colorant is compounded or integrated. Alternatively, the gloves can include a translucent first layer and a second layer in which a colorant is compounded or integrated. Either arrangement can enable a breach of the first layer to be more easily detected, either due to the high level of contrast between the first layer and the second when a first colorant and a second colorant are utilized, or due to the translucence of the first layer as compared to the donning side layer, where the intensity of the second layer is increased upon a breach of the translucent first layer.
CROSSLINKING AGENT, POLYMER COMPOSITION CONTAINING CROSSLINKING AGENT, AND CROSSLINKED PRODUCT OF SAME
A crosslinking agent which is based on an aluminate complex salt of a hydroxyl group-containing organic compound, which crosslinks a carboxy group and a nitrile group. When the crosslinking agent is added to a carboxy group-denatured NBR latex, gloves having flexibility and a strength comparable to those of natural rubber gloves can be manufactured. Furthermore, the excellent creep resistance is a big characteristic. Moreover, unlike normal sulfur vulcanization gloves, the gloves do not contain sulfur and a vulcanization accelerator, and do not necessarily require addition of zinc oxide.
Rubber composition for additive manufacturing
There is provided a rubber composition for additive manufacturing that allows rubber shaped articles to be favorably produced using an additive manufacturing apparatus. The rubber composition for additive manufacturing of the present invention comprises a liquid rubber.
MULTIPLE VISCOSITY GUTTA-PERCHA COATED ENDODONTIC INSTRUMENTS
Disclosed herein is an obturator and methods of manufacturing an obturator for filling an endodontically prepared root canal. The obturator comprises an elongated carrier having a distal end, proximal end, and working portion with a combination of filler materials having multiple viscosities coated on the working portion.
Hot press cushioning material and production method thereof
A hot press cushioning material includes: a fiber material comprised of a multiplicity of randomly oriented fibers (1); rubber (2) present in voids between the fibers (1) of the fiber material; and independent pores (3) dispersedly present in the rubber (2).
Foam fiber elastomeric materials and their manufacturing
The present invention concerns an elastic fibrous material, based on a fiber network, also including an elastomeric component, which material has been formed into a flat structure with two surfaces. Further, the invention concerns a method of manufacturing said elastic fibrous material by forming a fiber network, containing an elastic polymer, foaming the fiber network, adding it into one or more layers on a support, followed by curing.
Hot-melt adhesive resin film and production method thereof
The present invention relates to a hot-melt adhesive resin film which does not cause peeling between respective layers, has an excellent adhesive force, and has strong adherability even in severe durability evaluation, to various planar or film-like adherends such as metal, glass, and plastic, and a production method thereof. More particularly, the present invention relates to a hot-melt adhesive resin film including a first adhesive layer, a first intermediate layer, a substrate layer having heat resistance, a second intermediate layer, and a second adhesive layer, which are laminated in this order, in which the first adhesive layer and the second adhesive layer comprise an acid-modified polyolefin resin, and a production method thereof.
