Safety razor, cartridge, and process for manufacturing the cartridge
A safety razor, cartridge and process for manufacturing the cartridge that includes providing an assembly that includes a platform having a top face, the platform including a cap portion and two lateral side portions. The assembly also includes at least one cutting member extending between the lateral side portions of the platform, and a cover having a bottom face facing the top face of the platform.
Multilayer flexible tubing
A flexible tube includes a first layer comprising a polyolefin material having a flexural modulus of not greater than 150 MPa and includes a second layer directly bonded to and in direct contact with the first layer. The second layer comprising a blend of propylenic polymer and styrenic block copolymer.
METHOD FOR FABRICATING PIXELATED SCINTILLATORS
In a method of making pixelated scintillators, an amorphous scintillator material in a molten state is pressed into a plurality of cavities defined by a plurality of walls of a mesh array. The molten scintillator material in the plurality of cavities is cooled to form a pixelated scintillator array. An x-ray imager including a pixelated scintillator is also described.
Extruded ceiling fan blade and method of making blade
Novel extruded ceiling fan blades, compositions and methods of making the blades from plastic material such as polystyrene are disclosed. The blades can be formed from two extruders so that different colors and/or finishes, such as wood grain looks can be formed on the upper and lower surfaces of the blades.
Temperature-responsive cell culture substrate and method for producing the same
A substrate having a pattern of two or more materials exhibiting different grafting efficiencies for a temperature-responsive polymer that varies its interaction with water in a temperature range of 0 to 80 C. by electron beam irradiation under the same conditions is grafted with the temperature-responsive polymer by simultaneously irradiating the surfaces of the materials with electron beams to obtain a temperature-responsive cell culture substrate. According to this method, a temperature-responsive cell culture substrate having a surface (1) that allows cells to adhere thereto and to grow thereon during cell culturing and that allows the adhering and grown cells to be detached therefrom by changing the culturing temperature and a surface (2) that does not allow the cells to adhere thereto at all can be obtained by a simple process.
RECYCLING OF FIBER-REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL USING ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION
Systems, methods, and devices for providing a recycling technique for fiber-reinforced composite material using electromagnetic radiation. The recycling technique comprising selecting one or more parameters for a microwave system, orienting the fiber-reinforced composite material within a microwave chamber of the microwave system, microwaving the fiber-reinforced composite material using electromagnetic radiation based on the selected one or more parameters to expel a plurality of fibers from the fiber-reinforced composite material, and collecting the expelled plurality of fibers and remaining matrix material from the microwave chamber.
Preform extended finish for processing light weight ecologically beneficial bottles
Disclosed are preforms which incorporate improvements in the region of the neck and upper segment of the body to allow the production of lightweight containers, such as bottles suitable for containing water or other beverages. In accordance with certain embodiments, the improvements include a thinner neck finish area than conventional bottles, where the thinner area is extended into the upper segment of the body portion below the support ring. Reducing the thickness in these areas of the bottle allows for less resin to be used in forming the preform and bottle.
Method of accelerating the curing process in resin overflow systems for the use in casting processes
A casting apparatus is provided. The apparatus comprises a resin overflow container for use in casting processes, comprising: a curing accelerator for a resin in the overflow container. The resin overflow container may include a compartment arranged within the overflow container. The compartment may be adapted to release the curing accelerator after the overflow container has been at least partly filled with resin. The apparatus may also include a mold; and a drain connecting the mold and the overflow container or being part of an overflow container outlet for drawing off resin of the overflow container.
Method and apparatus for packaging a liquid food product
The invention relates to a method of delivering a predetermined volume of beverage into a thermoplastic container formed from a heated preform positioned in a mold, characterized in that the product includes a step of injecting at least some beverage into a recess in the preform so as to promote expansion of the preform inside the mold, the mold defining the shape of the container, a volume of beverage introduced during the injection step being at least equal to said predetermined volume, and, in addition, the method includes a step of sucking out a fraction of said volume of the beverage introduced until the volume of beverage remaining in the container is approximately equal to said predetermined volume.
Method for manufacturing three-dimensional netted structure
A three-dimensional netted structure having an upper surface, a lower surface, two side surfaces a left end surface, and a right end surface, including at least a plurality of filaments helically and randomly entangled and thermally bonded together, wherein the filaments are formed out of a thermoplastic resin by extrusion molding followed by cooling with a liquid; and the netted structure is four-surface molded, the upper surface, the lower surface and the two side surfaces being molded. An apparatus and a method for manufacturing the three-dimensional netted structure.
