A method for recycling of glass laminates (10) is disclosed. The glass laminates (10) comprise at least one glass layer (30, 40) and at least one polymer layer (20). The method comprises mechanical removal of at least part of the glass (30, 40), placing residual waste (350) with glass particles in a vat (360) comprising a separation fluid (375) to produce a mixture of glass particles and polymer pieces from the residual waste, from which the polymer pieces can be screened off, washed and dried for reuse. The separation fluid (375) comprises water and at least one alcohol.

The multilayer body of the container has at least one barrier layer connected, on one side, to at least one thermoplastic layer and heat sealed in a longitudinal overlapping joint formed of the edges of these layers. The body has its external surface covered with a polymeric coating, and the multilayer head of the container includes at least one non-metallic barrier layer connected, on one side, to at least one thermoplastic layer and is wholly extruded in the co-extrusion process. The essence of the invention is also a method for producing such a container.

Described are liners for bulk containers such as intermediate bulk containers (IBC) that are abuse-resistant and barrier-providing. The liners have at least one sidewall that is multi-plied and the plies are multi-layered. The liners are preferably metal-free. Each ply independently comprises at least three layers that comprise: a first layer and a third layer each comprising a linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) or a very low density polyethylene (VLDPE); and a second layer between the first and third layers and comprising a thermoplastic oxygen barrier of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) and a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). A ply may further comprise a fourth layer and a fifth layer, each comprising a polyamide, the fourth layer being located between the first and second layers and the fifth layer being located between the second and third layers. Methods of making and using the liners are also provided.

A method of forming z-channels in a fibrous ceramic preform includes mounting the preform in a tooling assembly, the tooling assembly comprising a first fixture and a second fixture, heating the preform mounted in the tooling assembly to a temperature above a glass transition temperature of a polymer binder within the preform to induce a softened state of the polymer binder, inserting a plurality of needles sequentially through respective first holes in the first fixture, the preform, and respective corresponding second holes in the second fixture, and removing the plurality of needles leaving behind a corresponding plurality of z-channels in the preform.

HIGH-BARRIER INFLATABLE CUSHION AND PREPARATION PROCESS THEREFOR

Disclosed are a high-barrier inflatable cushion and a preparation process therefor, which related to the technical fields of high-barrier inflatable cushions. The preparation process includes the following steps: material feeding, heating, vacuum counter-pressure molding, spray cooling, air cooling and drying, die-cutting, and thermal bonding. The high-barrier inflatable cushion comprises an airbag forming material and an airbag base material. The airbag forming material is prepared by laminating a TPU-EVOH composite with Lycra fabric, the TPU-EVOH composite has a total thickness of 0.4-0.8 mm, and the Lycra fabric has a gram weight of 150-230 g/m.sup.2. The airbag base material is prepared by laminating the TPU-EVOH composite with non-woven fabric, the TPU-EVOH composite has a total thickness of 0.1-0.3 mm, and the non-woven fabric has a gram weight of 60-80 g/m.sup.2.

The present disclosure provides a welded body having a connecting structure formed by welding a first molded body and a second molded body, wherein the first and second molded bodies contain at least one copolymer selected from the group consisting of a tetrafluoroethylene/fluoro (alkyl vinyl ether) copolymer and a tetrafluoroethylene/hexafluoropropylene copolymer, and wherein the connecting structure has a liquid contact surface to be in contact with a liquid having a solubility parameter of 14 to 35 (MPa).sup.1/2, a welded part formed in the connecting structure is not exposed to the liquid contact surface, and the number of particles of 30 nm or larger to be eluted from the liquid contact surface in the connecting structure is 1,000 particles/ml or less.
