CONSTITUENT PARTICLES USED FOR PRODUCTION OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL OBJECT, POWDER INCLUDING CONSTITUENT PARTICLES, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THREE-DIMENSIONAL OBJECT FROM CONSTITUENT PARTICLES
Provided are constituent particles containing a water-soluble material with high flowability in the form of powder, the constituent particles being capable of forming a support member that can be removed with a water-containing solvent in a process for producing a three-dimensional object. The constituent particles used for the production of a three-dimensional object each include a core and a shell that covers at least part of a surface of the core, the core containing a water-soluble material most abundantly, and a material contained in the shell most abundantly having a lower water solubility than the water-soluble material contained in the core.
Process for the production of a laminated composite product and a composite product made by the lamination process
The invention is directed to a process for the making of a product out of laminated composite material. The process in general comprises preforming at least one layer of material such that it corresponds to a surface of a part; applying layers of fibers to the preformed layer of material; and bonding the fibers by a resin to form a laminated composite material.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A BENT THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITE, A BENT THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITE AND A SYSTEM FOR MANUFACTURING A BENT THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITE
The invention relates to a method for producing a bent thermoplastic composite, comprising 35% or less in volume of a polymeric matrix including (meth)acrylic polymers, and at least 65% in volume of fiber, where the method includes (a) a step of providing the thermoplastic composite; (b) a step of heating a portion of the thermoplastic composite, said heating being selected between, conduction, radial and/or volumetric and the heating duration and/or the heating temperature being selected according to at least the thickness of the thermoplastic composite; (c) a step of creating a bent section in the heated portion by bending the heated portion; and (d) a step of cooling the bent section to solidify it and to form a bent thermoplastic composite, at a cooling temperature and/or a cooling duration selected in accordance with the glass transition temperatures (Tg) of the bent thermoplastic composite.
PRESSURE-DEPENDENT FOAM MOULDING OF POLY(METH)ACRYLIMIDE PARTICLES IN CLOSED MOULDS FOR PRODUCING RIGID FOAM CORES
The invention relates to a process for the production of mould-foamed poly(meth)acrylimide (P(M)I) cores, in particular of polymethacrylimide (PMI) cores, which can be used by way of example in automobile construction or aircraft construction. A feature of this process is that polymer granules or polymer powder preheated under pressure are moreover charged under pressure to a compression mould where they are foamed with depressurization. In particular, a feature of the process is that it optionally uses a preferably two-shell compression mould for the heating and also for the cooling of the granules and, respectively, the rigid foam core formed therefrom.
Golf ball and method for manufacturing the same
A method for manufacturing a golf ball showing a great flight distance on driver shots for includes the steps of: preparing a rubber composition containing a base rubber, an ,-unsaturated carboxylic acid having 3 to 8 carbon atoms and/or a metal salt thereof as a co-crosslinking agent, a crosslinking initiator and a carboxylic acid and/or a salt thereof; heat pressing the rubber composition at a press temperature ranging from t-40 C. to t-15 C. to mold a spherical core, wherein t C. is a one-minute half-life temperature of the crosslinking initiator; and forming at least one cover layer covering the spherical core.
SKELETON HOUSING AND METHOD FOR TAKING AN EAR IMPRESSION
Described herein is a skeleton housing for taking an ear impression of a part of an ear canal of a human ear, the skeleton housing having a shape fitting into a concha of the ear, the skeleton housing comprising a hollow permeable shell permitting a viscous impression material to flow through, the skeleton housing comprising a medial opening positioned to face toward or into the ear canal when the skeleton housing is inserted in the concha. Also described herein is a method of producing an ear impression using the skeleton housing and a method of producing a customized extension such as an ear tip.
Monovinylidene aromatic multilayer sheet containing impact modifiers
Disclosed herein are compositions including a thermoformable sheet having three of more layers. Two layers include one or more monovinylidene aromatic monomer containing polymers which are impact modified by a rubber, one or more monovinylidene aromatic monomer and unsaturated nitrile containing copolymers, or a blend of one or more monovinylidene aromatic monomer containing polymers and a polyolefin, which exhibit resistance to environmental stress cracking. At least one of the two layers is an outer layer. An inner layer includes post-consumer recycled monovinylidene aromatic monomer containing polymers which are impact modified by a rubber, post-industrial recycled monovinylidene aromatic monomer containing polymers which are impact modified by a rubber. Optionally, the composition may include virgin monovinylidene aromatic monomer containing polymers which are impact modified by a rubber. Optionally, the composition may include an outer layer which is a gloss layer.
SPIRAL WOUND PIPE INSULATION
A pipe insulation is formed from multiple discrete sheets of fiberglass that are wetted with a binder composition. The sheets are spiral wound around a mandrel in a partially overlapping fashion. The wound sheets are further processed to interface with one another and form a unitary elongated cylinder. The binder in the elongated cylinder is then cured to form the pipe insulation.
IONOMER RESIN COMPOSITION
Provided is an ionomer resin composition comprising a sodium-neutralized ethylene acid dipolymer and a sodium-neutralized ethylene acid ester terpolymer, wherein desirably at least one of the dipolymer and terpolymer is in part a recycle material. The described ionomer composition is particularly suited for use in making interlayers and glass laminates comprising such interlayers.
