Functional surface coating methods for additively manufactured products
Provided is a method of making a coated object, which may include stereolithographically producing a green intermediate object from a dual cure polymerizable resin, the intermediate object containing uncured polymerizable material therein; then, optionally cleaning the green object; then, in any order: coating at least one surface portion of the object with a particulate material; and heating the object sufficiently to further cure the object; the coating and/or heating steps carried out under conditions in which uncured polymerizable material sweats (or exudes) to the surface of said object, and wherein the uncured polymerizable material contacts the particulate material, polymerizes, and bonds the particulate material to the surface of the object during the coating and/or heating steps. Also provided is a coated object produced by the method.
Method for manufacturing packaging comprising a container printed on directly and treated by plasma
Disclosed is a method for manufacturing packaging including a container. The method includes: an operation of forming the container via blow molding or stretch blow molding from a plastics preform, an operation of treating an inner surface of the container, during which a thin barrier layer is formed on the inner surface via plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition; an operation of printing on an outer surface of the container, during which ink is deposited on the outer surface to form a decorative and/or informative inscription thereon.

PRODUCTION OF LOW DENSITY PRODUCTS BY ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
Provided herein according to some embodiments is polymerizable liquid useful for the production of a three-dimensional object by additive manufacturing, said polymerizable liquid comprising a mixture of: (a) at least one photopolymerizable component; (b) a photoinitiator; (c) at least one heat polymerizable component; and (d) heat expandable microspheres. A method of making a three-dimensional object from such a polymerizable liquid by additive manufacturing and objects so produced are also provided.
BONDING PROCESS AND SYSTEM
A system and process for bonding involves a pocket made into one article is used to secure that article to another using a flowable, curable material (e.g., resin) which during saturation enters through a passageway and at least partially fills the void. When the article is cured, the article is bonded to another article to which resin has also been applied since the void (now containing cured material) is larger than the passageway.

METHOD FOR JOINING BY BONDING OF PARTS, IN PARTICULAR COMPOSITE PARTS HAVING FIBROUS REINFORCEMENT
A method for assembling two parts, referred to as first and second parts, the first part being produced from composite material with fibrous reinforcement embedded in a thermosetting or thermoplastic matrix, the method comprising the steps of: obtaining the first part comprising, on all or part of an outer surface, a first amorphous thermoplastic film; positioning the first part and the second part such that the first amorphous thermoplastic film is placed opposite the second part; introducing a thermosetting resin between the first amorphous thermoplastic film and the second part; at least partially polymerising the thermosetting resin. When the two parts comprise an amorphous thermoplastic film, the parts are positioned such that the respective amorphous thermoplastic films are placed opposite each other, and the thermosetting resin is introduced between the amorphous thermoplastic films.

Method For Plasma Treating Substrates And For Bonding Plasma Treated Substrates
A method for plasma treating a surface of a first substrate is disclosed. The method may comprise generating a plasma flume using a plasma treatment device having a nozzle. The plasma flume may emanate through a flume aperture of the nozzle at an emanation angle of about 5 degrees or less. The emanation angle may be defined as an angle between a central axis of the nozzle and a central axis of the flume aperture. The method may further comprise plasma treating the surface of the first substrate with the plasma flume by scanning the plasma flume over the surface of the first substrate. The first substrate may be one of a consolidated thermoplastic material and a cured thermoset material.
