TICK AND TICK HEAD REMOVER
A tick remover device includes a substantially flat body defining a substantially v-shaped notch on one surface; a sharp point on another surface; and packaging material enclosing the flat body. A tick remover device can also include a substantially flat body defining a substantially v-shaped notch on one surface or edge; a sharp point on an another surface; and a protective member covering the sharp point to protect a user from the sharp point during use of the v-shaped notch. A packaged tick remover device as well as a method for using the packaged tick remover device are also disclosed.

Insect vacuum and trap attachment systems
An insect vacuum and trap attachment system can include a tubular member having an elongate channel that extends along an outer surface of the tubular member. The system can also include a suction member that slideably receives the tubular member. The suction member can have a narrowed open tip that receives insects and a stem that extends along at least an outer surface of the suction member. The stem can be slideably received by the elongate channel to enable the suction member to slide with respect to the tubular member. The system can include a catch that protrudes from the stem. The catch may be arranged and configured to receive a portion of an insect filter pod and thereby couple the insect filter pod between the tubular member and the suction member.
Induction system for product authentication
A method of analyzing shipments of goods includes receiving, by a transceiver of a shipment analysis system, a heat map template, where the heat map template is an expected heat map for a plurality of packages in a shipment. The method also includes directing electromagnetic radiation from an electromagnetic radiation source to the package to heat any ferromagnetic material in or on a package. The method also includes generating, by a processor of the shipment analysis system, a heat map based on the heating of any ferromagnetic material in or on the package. The method further includes generating, by the processor, an alert responsive to a determination that the generated heat map does not match the heat map template. The alert indicates that the package is not one of the plurality of packages in the shipment.
Insect capturing device method for capturing insects and use of the insect capturing device
An active insert capturing device having a capturing opening with an opening edge, a receiving chamber having a chamber wall, at least one glare light source, an insect trap in the form of a suction device, the insect device including at least one carrying handle and is portable. The insect capturing device can be configured as a removable vacuum cleaner attachment.
INDUCTION HEATING SYSTEMS
A method for performing mold remediation includes placing a ferromagnetic material in or adjacent to a surface upon which mold is located. The method also includes emitting, by an electromagnetic radiation source, radiation to heat the ferromagnetic material that is adjacent to the surface upon which the mold is located. The method also includes detecting, by a temperature sensor, a temperature of the surface. The method further includes comparing, by a processor in communication with the electromagnetic radiation source and the temperature sensor, the temperature of the surface to a desired temperature to perform mold remediation.
INDUCTION HEATING SYSTEMS
An induction heating system a base and an electromagnetic radiation source configured to generate an emission area in the base. The emission area comprises a portion of the base that receives electromagnetic radiation from the electromagnetic radiation source. The system also includes a ferromagnetic element and an element controller configured to move the ferromagnetic element into and out of the emission area.
Kit for air treatment of upholstered furniture and method of using such kit
A kit for extermination of pest animals in furniture and a method for using the kit are disclosed. A sheet is provided over upholstered furniture. The sheet may be provided with ballast at the edges for keeping the sheet more or less fixed. Heated air is forced underneath the sheet. The furniture is preferably provided with an air treatment module for forcing air through the upholstery like a mattress. This allows the heated air provided by the forced air supply to be provided to the upholstery via the inside, highly increasing efficiency of heat treatment of the furniture. A way of controlling temperature of air provided by the forced air supply is disclosed, as well as a way of controlling temperature of air actually within the spaced defined by the positioned sheet. The latter allows for improved control of maintaining a temperature at which for example bed bugs are killed.

Lice and nit removal tool and method
A lice removing apparatus and method of using it are disclosed. The apparatus comprises a flexible fabric sheet having a pair of pockets defined on a first side of the sheet adjacent opposite ends of the sheet. A second side of the sheet includes a plurality of projections, or other physically coarse material, that strip nits from a person's hair when passed there over. A user inserts his fingers and thumb into the pockets, folds the sheet around a lock of hair, and runs the sheet along the length of the hair while squeezing the folded sheet into constant contact with the hair. Thereafter, the sheet is discarded and a new one is used for cleaning a subsequent lock of hair. The sheets may be stored in a contained in a manner that provides easy access for grasping the sheet and removing it from the container with one hand.
