Electrostatic 3-D printer controlling layer thickness using feedback loop to transfer device
3-D printers include an intermediate transfer surface that transfers a layer of material to a platen each time the platen contacts the intermediate transfer surface to successively form a freestanding stack of layers of the material on the platen. A sensor detects the thickness of the layer on the platen after a fusing station fuses the layer. A feedback loop is electrically connected to the sensor and a development station (that includes a photoreceptor, a charging station providing a static charge to the photoreceptor, a laser device exposing the photoreceptor, and a development device supplying the material to the photoreceptor). The development station adjusts the transfer bias of the development device, based on a layer thickness measurement from the sensor through the feedback loop, to control the thickness of subsequent ones of the layers transferred from the intermediate transfer surface to the freestanding stack on the platen.
Melting and molding device
A device, system, and method for creating a molded crayon body are provided. In embodiments, the device includes a receiving and positioning device having a channel for receiving a wax stick. The channel may be configured to receive and position a wax stick for melting by a melting component. The device may further include a positioning and/or adjustment component that raises and lowers a mold plate with respect to a front surface of the melting component. In some embodiments, the melting component includes a nozzle having a nozzle tip configured to transfer melted portions of the wax stick from the nozzle of the melting component to a mold on a mold plate. The mold component may also include a chilling mechanism for cooling a completed, molded crayon body.
PRECISION CASTING WAX BASED ON GRAPHITE OXIDE MODIFIED ROSIN AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF
Disclosed are a precision casting wax based on graphite oxide modified rosin and its production method. The precision casting wax is composed of 20%30% of modified rosin, 50%65% of paraffin, 5%10% of an adhesion agent, 5%40% of PE wax, and 0%3% of montan wax (in mass percentage), and the total content adds up to 100%. The modified rosin is composed of first-grade rosin, graphite oxide, zinc oxide and pentaerythritol. The graphite oxide, zinc oxide, and pentaerythritol have a mass equal to 5%8%, 0.3%0.5%, and 5%8% of the mass of the first-grade rosin respectively. The modified rosin has a softening point of 98 C.103 C. and an acidity value of 15 KOH/g25 KOH/g. The present invention has the features of small needle penetration, small linear shrinkage rate, large bending strength, and small ash content, and thus can satisfy the requirements of high size precision and high surface quality of the precision casting.
Wax Decal
A wax decal production and application system is disclosed involving a wax sheet, an indentation roller, a method of cutting the wax sheet, and a roller to apply the sheet to a surface. A thin wax sheet is extruded through drums that pattern it with indentations. A design is cut into the sheet and the extraneous material is removed. The wax decal is placed upon a surface. With the use of a roller, the indentations are crushed, collapsing onto and sticking to the surface.

DEVICE AND CORRESPONDING METHOD FOR PRODUCING HONEYCOMBS FOR APICULTURE
A device to form a honeycomb has an upper continuous belt and a lower continuous belt disposed in parallel and carrying opposing cores. The belts act on liquid wax which is injected into an inlet of the device, with both belts moving in opposition. The inlet has in succession: a scraping zone disposed straight with respect to the upper belt; a zone for opening the cores, which has a certain curvature designed to receive a first injection of wax; and a third straight zone for sealing and expelling any excess wax. At an exit of the device, the longest length of the upper belt has multiple groups of magnetic and non-magnetic rollers for a local curving of the belt to progressively release the honeycomb.
Hot melt fragmentation extruder and process
A co-rotating twin screw extruder for forming fragments is disclosed. The extruder comprises of an intake zone for receiving one or more excipient(s) suitable for oral dosage or one or more excipient(s) suitable for oral dosage along with one or more active pharmaceutical ingredient, a melt zone for softening at least one excipient to form a viscous mass or melt and a fragmenting zone for fragmenting and cooling the viscous mass into cooled fragments and an extruder outlet for recovering the cooled fragments from the extruder.
ADIABATIC COOLING OF CASTING MOLDS
A method and an apparatus for cooling of casting molds, in particular for cooling of casting molds for cosmetic products, are described. The apparatus comprises at least one housing with at least one opening for at least partly inserting of at least one casting mold in the at least one housing. It further comprises at least one nozzle for generating of a humid mist within the at least one housing by mixing a gaseous and a liquid medium and for causing a convection within the at least one housing by introducing only the gaseous medium in the at least one housing.
