Method for manufacturing a candle having an item embedded within
A candle with an embedded item and methods for manufacturing same are disclosed. A method for manufacturing a candle having an embedded item can include providing a first set of items of a first value and a second set of items of a second value different from the first value, combining the two sets to create a third set, and distributing the items of the third set among a set of candles, one item per candle, where the presence, nature, or value of the item within the candle is obscured. The method can further include selling the candles for a first price, wherein, the presence of the embedded item, the nature of the embedded item, the value of the embedded item, or the value of the embedded item relative to the first price is not known to the purchaser. The embedded item can comprise an object redeemable for a prize.
PLASTIC ARTICLE FORMING APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING MELT FLOW IN REAL TIME USING ADDITIVES
A process of forming molded articles using an injection molding apparatus is provided. The process includes providing a thermoplastic material to the injection molding apparatus. The thermoplastic material is heated such that the thermoplastic material is in a molten state. The molten thermoplastic material is injected into at least one mold cavity of the injection molding apparatus using an injection element. Melt pressure of the thermoplastic material filling the at least one mold cavity is monitored using a sensor. The sensor provides a signal indicative of melt pressure to a controller. The controller controls introduction of a non-reactive additive to the thermoplastic material thereby changing a viscosity of the molten thermoplastic material based on the signal. A molded article is formed by reducing a mold temperature of the thermoplastic material within the at least one mold cavity.
LIPSTICK MINE MADE OF AT LEAST TWO PASTY SUBSTANCES
A method, a dosing device and a system for manufacturing of a lipstick mine out of at least two pasty substances are described. The method comprises inserting of a first end portion of a dosing device into a form whereby the first end portion of the dosing device comprises at least one outlet nozzle, filling of the first end portion of the dosing device with a first pasty substance, increasing of the gas pressure in the first end portion of the dosing device whereby the first pasty substance through the pressure is pressed out of the at least one outlet nozzle, removing the first end portion of the dosing device out of the form and filling up the form with a second pasty substance.
Systems and methods for creating soft deformable high-density haptic bubble displays
The disclosed computer-implemented method may include creating a computer-generated model for a haptic feedback system including a plurality of actuators arranged in a first layer of the haptic feedback system, and a plurality of channels routed in a second layer of the haptic feedback system, the second layer being below the first layer, printing a three-dimensional wax mold structure of the computer-generated model, and forming the haptic feedback system in a single step using the three-dimensional wax mold structure. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
DEVICE FOR PRODUCING DENTAL CERAMIC
A device for producing dental ceramic, with a CAD/CAM device for preparing a compression molding cavity for producing the dental ceramic, wherein a CAD device thereof, on the basis of scan data, determines the shape of the dental ceramic to be produced, and wherein a CAM device thereof produces a positive model, on the basis of which the mold cavity is produced via a sacrificial mold (muffle). The CAM device also determines the distribution and the transfer between different ceramic types, i.e. types of ceramics that differ at least in respect of one parameter in terms of material, appearance, strength or the like, wherein the CAM device for adjusting the distribution and the transfer determines the position and the dimensions of a feed channel between a muffle rod and the compression molding cavity for producing the dental ceramic according to at least one of these parameters.
RESIN COMPOSITION FOR INJECTION MOLDING AND METHOD FOR INJECTION-MOLDING THIS COMPOSITION
The resin composition for injection molding according to the embodiment of the present invention contains at least one kind of wax (a) having a melting point of lower than 80 C.
ADDITIVE FABRICATION OF SINTERABLE METALLIC PARTS VIA APPLICATION OF DIRECTED ENERGY
According to some aspects, techniques are provided for fabricating sinterable metallic parts through the application of directed energy to a build material. In particular, applying energy to a build material comprising a polymer mixed with a metal powder may cause the polymer to form a cohesive structure with the metal powder. As a result, the polymer acts as a glue to produce a metallic green part without local melting of the metal. The green part may subsequently be sintered to remove the polymer and produce a fully dense metal part. Optionally, a step of debinding may also be performed prior to, or simultaneously with, sintering.
DENTAL RESTORATION MODEL
The invention relates to a dental restoration model comprising a positive model (15) of a dental restoration piece. Said positive model (15) defines at least the outer contour (36) of a dental restoration piece to be made using lost wax technology and is provided with a locating pin region which is defined especially according to a given optimization process. The invention is characterized in that the locating pin region is provided with a guiding element (30) which accommodates and/or guides a material feeder (22, 24, 26 and 28).
Three-dimensional printing
A three-dimensional (3D) object printing kit includes a polymeric material; a fusing agent including at least 5 vol % of a polar solvent; and a detailing agent. The detailing agent includes a non-polar, hydrophobic substance selected from the group consisting of a non-polar, hydrophobic liquid in its liquid state at a temperature ranging from about 80 C. to about 40 C., and a non-polar, hydrophobic wax having a melting temperature less than 120 C.
Non-Sealable, Matte, BOHDPE Films and Labels
Disclosed, in one example embodiment, is a polyethylene film or label comprising a core layer may include at least about 80 wt. % high-density polyethylene. Further, the polyethylene film may include, optionally, a first tie layer on a first side of the core layer, wherein the first tie layer comprises at least about 60 wt. % high-density polyethylene, and, may further include, optionally, a second tie layer on a second side of the core layer, wherein the second tie layer comprises at least about 60 wt. % high-density polyethylene. Further still, the polyethylene film may include a non-sealable, external, matte skin layer having a minimum haze of about 60% under ASTM D-1003 and a maximum gloss at 45 of about 15 under ISO2813. Yet further, the polyethylene film has a dull appearance and does not heat-seal on a polyethylene laminate before shrinking or deforming the polyethylene film.
