Three-dimensional object construction
An example method for constructing a three-dimensional object in accordance with aspects of the present disclosure includes projecting an image of a section of a three-dimensional object on a building plane through a projection unit, forming a cured section by irradiating laterally an interface of a photopolymerizable material on the building plane with light corresponding to the image of the section of the three-dimensional object, moving a support plane laterally to detach the cured section from the building plane resulting in a gap between the cured section and the building plane, and filling the gap between the cured section and the building plane with photopolymerizable material.
Lacrosse head pocket and related method of manufacture
A lacrosse head pocket and a related method of manufacture are provided to facilitate consistent, repeatable and/or custom manufacture of lacrosse equipment. The pocket can be constructed from multiple different sections joined with one another, or can be knitted, weaved or otherwise assembled on an automated assembly machine from strands, and/or can be formed as a unitary textile material having regions/sections with different physical and/or mechanical properties. The pocket can be integrally molded within portions of a lacrosse head to eliminate manually constructed connections between the pocket and lacrosse head. The lacrosse head can be integrally molded with a lacrosse handle to provide a one-piece unitary lacrosse stick. Related methods of manufacturing also are provided.
Sealed Connection For Fluid Conduit Parts
An assembly of fluid conduit parts is disclosed along with a method of assembling, a method of manufacturing and an apparatus for manufacturing the one of the fluid conduit parts. The assembly includes a blow molded part having a first portion. A second part includes a tapered section and a sealing flange extends from the first portion towards a central axis of the first portion at a distance, an end of the sealing flange defines an opening. The second part inserts into the opening and at least part of the tapered section is of a size larger than the opening. The sealing flange flexes upon insertion of the second part into the opening to define a contact surface between the tapered section and the sealing flange that extends around a perimeter of the tapered section where the sealing flange contacts the tapered section.
Die assembly and method of setting up an extrusion system utilizing the die assembly
A die assembly through which flowable material from a supply is controllably delivered to a processing assembly at which a sheet layer is formed. The die assembly has a main frame and a support assembly for the main frame. The support assembly includes components cooperating between the main frame and a base upon which the main frame is supported to allow controlled relative vertical movement between the main frame and base to thereby permit controlled alignment between the main frame and an upstream component that delivers flowable material from the supply to the die assembly.
Composite material with insert-molded attachment steel
A composite material with an insert-molded attachment steel is provided. The composite material includes a plurality of burring apertures, each of which has a flange in one direction on the attachment steel and is inserted between fibers. A resin is then introduced between the fibers in each burring aperture and external to the flange.
Porous structures and methods of making same
The present disclosure provides methods to improve the properties of a porous structure formed by a rapid manufacturing technique. Embodiments of the present disclosure increase the bonding between the micro-particles 5 on the surface of the porous structure and the porous structure itself without substantially reduce the surface area of the micro-particles. In one aspect, embodiments of the present disclosure improves the bonding while preserving or increasing the friction of the structure against adjacent materials.
Recyclable Plastic structural articles and method of manufacture
The plastic structural article includes an elongated tubular shell having opposed end sections, a middle section there between and an interior cavity. The interior cavity has a foam core situated therein. The foam core comprises steam expandable polymer beads which when expanded substantially fill the interior cavity. The bead and shell are of a similar plastic composition enabling the articles to be reground and recycled. An apparatus for forming the articles and an associated method of manufacture are also disclosed. A thermal management system includes a panel having a periphery, and a skin having a thermal bond to an in-situ foam core. The panel has a thermal transmittance u-value ranging from 0.1 to 0.17 W/m.sup.2 C.

Powder transfer apparatus and method for additive manufacturing
An additive manufacturing apparatus includes: a table defining a planar worksurface having an opening therein, the opening communicating with a build enclosure having a vertically slidable build platform therein; and a first slide having a first powder transfer window therein, the first slide being moveable across the worksurface between a loading position away from the opening where the first powder transfer window is exposed to receive powder, and a supply position where the first powder transfer window is aligned over the opening.
Imprint apparatus, and method of manufacturing article
The present invention provides an imprint apparatus which performs an imprint process of forming a pattern on a substrate by using a mold, the apparatus comprising a heating unit configured to heat a region to be imprinted on the substrate, thereby deforming the region, and a processing unit configured to determine, as a region to be imprinted first, one region out of a first region and second region to be imprinted, and determine the other region as a region to be imprinted subsequently, wherein an influence on the other region in a case where the heating unit deforms the one region is smaller than an influence on the one region in a case where the heating unit deforms the other region.
