Spinner aft-extended forward return flange
A spinner for a fan assembly of a gas turbine engine, a method of fabricating a spinner for a fan assembly of a gas turbine engine, and a gas turbine engine are disclosed. The fan section may include a nosecap. The spinner may include a forward end, an aft end, and a return flange associated with the forward end. The return flange may include a forward flange extending forward towards the nosecap and an aft flange extending aft towards the aft end.
Composite bow centralizer
A centralizer comprises a first collar, a second collar, a plurality of bow springs coupling the first collar to the second collar, and a plurality of particulates disposed on an outer surface of at least one bow spring. One or more of the first collar, the second collar, and the bow springs comprises a composite material. In some embodiments, the centralizer comprises a third collar, wherein the plurality of bow springs comprise a first portion of bow springs and a second portion of bow springs, and wherein the first portion of the bow springs couple the first collar to the third collar and the second portion of the bow springs couple the second collar to the third collar.
Access port
An access port includes a molded housing portion forming a reservoir for receiving fluid. The housing portion includes a shielding plate arranged on an inner base of the housing portion; an open end in which a septum is arranged; an exit passage; and a wall, the shielding plate including a circular portion having a periphery. The lower side and the periphery of the shielding plate are embedded into the housing portion. Furthermore, a shielding plate is insert molded into the housing portion.
Decorative member
The present application relates to a decorative member including a color developing layer including a light reflective layer and a light absorbing layer provided on the light reflective layer; and a substrate provided on one surface of the color developing layer, wherein the light absorbing layer includes a copper oxide (Cu.sub.aO.sub.x).
Anti-migration micropatterned stent coating
An endoprosthesis has an expanded state and a contracted state, the endoprosthesis includes a stent having an inner surface defining a lumen, having an outer surface, and defining a plurality of apertures through the outer surface, wherein the apertures are arranged in a micropattern; and a coating (e.g., polymeric coating) attached to the outer surface of the stent. The coating includes a base and a tissue engagement portion including a second surface facing outwardly from the stent, the tissue engagement portion including a structure that defines a plurality of holes extending inwardly from the second surface toward the base. The holes are arranged in a micropattern. When the endoprosthesis is expanded to the expanded state in a lumen defined by a vessel wall, the structure applies a force that may reduce stent migration by creating an interlock between the vessel wall and the endoprosthesis.

An inner band used on a turbine engine is disclosed herein. The inner band may include a core comprising polymeric materials and a shell comprising nanocrystalline metallic materials applied to the core to cover at least a portion of the core.

Methods for increasing a retention force between a polymeric scaffold and a delivery balloon
A medical device-includes a scaffold crimped to a catheter having an expansion balloon. The scaffold is crimped to the balloon by a process that includes inflating the delivery balloon during a diameter reduction to improve scaffold retention and maintaining an inflated balloon during the diameter reduction and prior and subsequent dwell periods.
Photochromic polyurethane laminate
A photochromic polyurethane laminate that is constructed to solve certain manufacturing difficulties involved in the production of plastic photochromic lenses is disclosed. The photochromic laminate includes at least two layers of a resinous material and a photochromic polyurethane layer that is interspersed between the two resinous layers and which contains photochromic compounds. The polyurethane layer is formed by curing a mixture of a solid thermoplastic polyurethane, at least one isocyanate prepolymer, at least one photochromic compound, and a stabilizing system.
