Method and device for applying at least one decorative strip to a seat cover

A device for applying a decorative strips (3, 4, 5, 6) with positional accuracy to a seat cover (2) with high-frequency welding, includes two tool halves (10, 30), of which one tool half has at least one electrode (14, 15, 16, 17). A first tool half (10) has at least two electrodes (14, 15, 16, 17) oriented parallel to each other, the width of the electrodes being adapted to the width of the decorative strips (3, 4, 5, 6) to be applied. Insulators (18, 19, 20, 21, 22) oriented in parallel are arranged between the electrodes (14, 15, 16, 17) and in parallel on the outside of the electrodes. The insulators (18, 19, 20, 21, 22) protrude beyond the electrodes (14, 15, 16, 17) in the direction of the second tool half (30). The insulators (18, 19, 20, 21, 22) are height-adjustable relative to the electrodes (14, 15, 16, 17).

Device for producing three-dimensional models

The present invention relates to a device for manufacture of three-dimensional models by means of a 3D printing process, whereby a spreader device is used to deposit particulate material in layers on a build platform and the particulate material flow, which occurs perpendicular to the spreading direction, is transferred into containers that are actively cleaned by sliders or brushes at the spreader device. It exploits the fact that particulate material that is moves dynamically can only bridge small height differences. The arrangement can be implemented in a space-saving manner beneath the spreading plane.

Composite materials including regions differing properties, and methods

The invention is directed at composite materials, articles including the composite materials, and methods for producing and using them. The composite material include regions that differ in one or more properties. The composite material generally includes a first metallic sheet, a second metallic sheet; one or more metallic inserts interposed between the first and second metallic sheets; and a polymeric layer (e.g., a core layer) interposed between the first and second metallic sheets. The polymeric layer preferably includes a thermoplastic polymer. Preferably, the composite material includes a first region having an insert interposed between the metallic sheets so that the first region (relative to the second region) has a high tensile strength, a high thickness, a high density, or any combination thereof.

Combination cap and work support system

A combination cap and work support system includes a lower section configured to connect to a container and an upper section configured to provide a desired support to an object. The combination cap and work support system may be utilized alone or in multiples to support an object above a work surface during a project. Configurations of the upper section generally include multiple apices separated by areas having a reduced height, and configured to support an object directly on the apices, or between the apices, to provide a desired combination of support and stability. The combination cap and work support system may be included as part of a kit in conjunction with a compatible container, such as a can of sprayable surface coating.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING AND CONTROLLING THE STACKING-UP LAYER MANUFACTURING

An apparatus of adjusting and controlling the stacking-up layer manufacturing comprises a target, a powder providing unit, an energy generating unit, and a magnetism unit. The powder providing unit is coupled on a top of the target. The energy generating unit is also coupled on the top of the target. The powder providing unit provides a powder to a surface of the target. The energy generating unit provides the energy beam to selectively heat the powder on the surface of the target to form a melted or sintered powder layer. The magnetism unit provides a magnetic field to control the solidification of the melted or sintered powder layer.

Provisional retention of metal sheet on a mold by microwelds

The present application relates to a method of injection molding a resin such as a RTM mold. The method enables to manufacture a composite part comprising a resin body and a sheet or strip, forming a surface of the composite part. The composite part can be an annular compressor casing of an axial turbomachine, with a composite annular wall. The method includes the steps of: (a) placing and holding the sheet against a mold surface by fastening means such as welds or microwelds; (b) injection and solidification of the resin in the mold so as to form the body by binding it to the sheet; (c) release of the sheet by the fastening means when a release force is exerted on the composite and release part of the composite part.

Ion exchanger for a cooling circuit

An ion exchanger for a coolant circuit is provided with a housing that has an inlet and an outlet for a coolant. An ion exchanger medium is disposed in the housing. The housing is made of a plastic material and is an injection-molded part. A first plastic filter element is arranged in the outlet and embedded by injection molding in the first plastic material of the housing. In the inlet, a second plastic filter element is arranged and embedded by injection molding in the plastic material of the housing.

In-aircraft seats include plastic components having anti-microbial, metallic reinforcing fibers such as copper or silver. Copper or silver wires are embedded into the plastic at the time or molding to provide both structural reinforcement and anti-microbial properties. At the time of molding, copper or silver wires are disposed in a plastic mold prior to plastic application to ensure the metallic wires are generally disposed toward the surface of the molded part.

Septumization of cellular cores

A composite acoustic liner has a septumized cellular core. Septa are installed in the core as the individual core cells are being formed. Individual tools are used to both form the cells of the core and index the septa within the cells. The septa and the cellular core are cocured.
