METHOD AND MOLD FOR PRODUCING SEALING PLATES BY INJECTION MOLDING AND SEALING PLATES PRODUCED ACCORDINGLY
To produce sealing plates consisting of a plurality of sealing rings connected by radial webs by injection molding, wall-type guide elements are arranged obliquely to the direction of flow in the mold channel which is therefore initially largely constricted in the region of weld lines formed by the convergence of the fronts of the divided plastic melt streams, said guide elements being moved out of the mold channel during the further filling of same so that the strength is significantly improved in the region of the weld lines.
Sheet Material, Mold, and Methods of Making and Using the Sheet Material and Mold
A one-piece component comprising a tetrahedral-octahedral honeycomb lattice is disclosed herein, along with a mold, a system and methods of making the component. A one-piece component comprising a truncated tetrahedral-octahedral honeycomb lattice also is disclosed, along with corresponding molds, systems and methods.
MULTI-COMPOUND FIBER REINFORCED COMPOSITES AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME USING FRONTAL POLYMERIZATION AND TARGETED PHOTOSENSITIZER ADDITIVES
The present disclosure relates to multi-compound fiber reinforced composites and methods of making the same using frontal polymerization and targeted photosensitizer additives. In various aspects, the method may include disposing one or more layers in a mold cavity, where each of the one or more layers includes a fiber material and a first compound. The method may further includes disposing a second compound in the mold cavity, where the second compound includes a photosensitizer material. Further still, the method may include initiating photopolymerization of the photosensitizer using an ultraviolet light source, removing ultraviolet light source, and/or completing polymerization of the one or more layers so as to form the fiber-reinforced composite.
METHOD FOR BONDING COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND COMPOSITE MATERIAL
A method for bonding a composite material includes impregnating a first composite material containing reinforcing fibers and a second composite material containing reinforcing fibers with a resin and bonding them together. A plurality of protruding members each including a plurality of protrusions protruding in mutually different directions are placed on a surface of the first composite material, and the second composite material is placed where the protruding members are placed. The protruding members are introduced into the interior of the first composite material and the interior of the second composite material while causing the first composite material and the second composite material to come into contact with each other. The first and second composite material are bonded in a state where the protruding members are introduced therein, by curing the resin with which the first and second composite material are impregnated.

Method of assembling two pieces of different materials and assembly resulting from the method of assembling
A method of assembling a first part made from a metal and a second part includes providing a first part comprising an assembly surface, and a second part comprising at least one through orifice. At least part of the second part is arranged on the assembly surface such that the orifice extends across from the assembly surface. A metal connecting part is positioned on the orifice to cover the orifice across from the assembly surface. The connecting part and/or the assembly surface are projected on one another to obtain high-speed plating and welding between the connecting part and the surface part.

Thermoplastic/thermoset grafted composites
Disclosed are thermoset/thermoplastic composites that include a thermoset component directly or indirectly bonded to a thermoplastic component via a crosslinked binding layer between the two. The crosslinked binding layer is bonded to the thermoplastic component via epoxy linkages and is either directly or indirectly bonded to the thermoset component via epoxy linkages. The composite can be a laminate and can provide a route for addition of a thermoplastic implant to a thermoset structure.
