ORAL PRODUCT

An oral product includes a body that is wholly receivable in an oral cavity. The body includes a mouth-stable polymer matrix, cellulosic fibers embedded in the mouth-stable polymer matrix, and a mouth-soluble binder dispersed in the mouth-stable polymer matrix.

Fiber molding preform composition and process for preform formation

A preform for thermoset resin composition molding is provided that upon cure forms a variety of molded and fiber reinforced articles used in a variety of applications such as vehicle components including bed lines, body components, trim, interior components, and undercar components; architectural components such as trim and doors, marine components including hulls, trim, and cockpit pieces; and similar structures in aerospace settings. A novel slurry composition, a novel centrifugal process, or a combination thereof provide superior quality preforms that are created with greater throughput relative to conventional techniques. The inhibition of fiber movement between the time such a fiber contacts the mold, or fibers already in place on the mold, and the time the fibers are set in position provides a superior fiber homogeneity and randomized orientation relative to existing slurry techniques with attributes of low scrap generation, and process flexibility with respect to part shape and fiber material.

Method of forming a fibrous product

The present invention relates to a method of forming a molded fibrous product, comprising the steps of foaming an aqueous suspension of natural fibers, optionally in combination with synthetic fibers, to provide a first fibrous foam, a surfactant may be added to aid the foaming, feeding the fibrous foam into a mold, mechanically withdrawing a part of the water contained in the foam to produce a solidified, moist fibrous composition, and evaporating water from the solidified, moist fibrous composition to produce a dry fibrous product.

Cellulose fiber thermoplastic composition having a cosmetic appearance and molding thereof

A inventive method to process an organic compound with a thermoplastic alloy composition comprising of a high heat hydrophilic polymer, a polyolefin, preferably with a compatibilizer that is without maleic content. A compressed pellet will be generated at low temperatures for producing a cellulose thermoplastic alloy composition improving the ability to color and replace existing compositions that are challenged by toxicity and performance. This composition can be re fractured into fine particles if necessary, to produce 3 D printed parts well beyond the degradation of the specified organic compound for cosmetic, automotive or medical markets.

An apparatus and a method are provided for a packaging and liquid stabilizing material suitable for dispensing and drying into a desired shape. In some embodiments, the desired shape may be selected so as to simplify cleanup of the packaging and liquid stabilizing material after having absorbed a liquid spilled from containers during transportation in a larger container. A first portion of the packaging and liquid stabilizing material comprises latex-based waste which is formulated into a recycled latex emulsion. The latex-based waste generally comprises recycled liquid latex paint, as well as recycled semi-liquid latex paint and coatings. A second portion comprises a particulate material which includes a mixture of at least cellulose and lignin, such as sawdust. A third portion comprises additional components including any of various plasticizers, coloring agents, hardeners, drying agents, or solidifiers.

An apparatus and a method are provided for a latex-based packaging material configured to provide a dust-free alternative to vermiculite packaging materials. The latex-based packaging material comprises a portion of a latex-based waste formulated into a recycled latex emulsion, and a portion of particulate material into which the recycled latex emulsion is mixed so as to form a latex-based pulp. In some embodiments, additional components, such as any of various plasticizers, coloring agents, or hardeners, may be included in the latex-base pulp. The latex-based pulp is dispensed and dried so as to form the latex-based packaging material in a variety of desired shapes. Drying may be accomplished by way of unaided atmospheric evaporation, or by way of various conventional drying methods. In some embodiments, the desired shape of the packaging material comprises latex-based packaging peanuts suitable for separating and cushioning forces between containers during transportation in a larger container.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FORMING ACTIVATED CARBON AEROGELS AND PERFORMING 3D PRINTING

Making a carbon aerogel involves 3-D printing an ink to make a printed part, removing the solvent from the printed part, and carbonizing the printed part (with the solvent removed) to make the aerogel. The ink is based on a solution of a resorcinol-formaldehyde resin (RF resin), water, and an organic thickener. Advantageously, the RF resin contains an acid catalyst, which tends to produce carbon aerogels with higher surface areas upon activation than those produced from methods involving an ink composition containing a base catalyzed resin.
