3D printable ink compositions for forming objects, films and coatings are provided. Also provided are methods of printing the ink compositions and methods for making the ink compositions. The ink compositions include an elastic polymer binder and may have high loadings of solid particles.
Electrically weldable suture material, and apparatus and method for forming welded suture loops and other welded structures
A device for positioning in the body of an animal, the device comprising a first portion and a second portion that may be positioned in contact with one other, the first portion and the second portion each comprising a biocompatible conductive thermoplastic material, such that when the device is positioned in the body of an animal and electric current flows from the first portion to the second portion, heat is generated by electrical resistance at the point of contact between the first portion and the second portion so as to melt regions of the first portion and the second portion, and when the electric current is thereafter terminated, the melted regions of the first portion and the second portion re-solidify so that a weld is formed between the first portion and the second portion.
Creating a breakaway region
An apparatus is disclosed to create a breakaway junction for 3D printed parts. Powder is spread along a target zone, such as a build bed. A liquid functional agent is selectively dispensed upon the powder to form a 3D object, a supporting part, and the breakaway junction between them.
MANUFACTURING METHOD OF COIL COMPONENT AND COIL COMPONENT
A manufacturing method of a coil component comprising the steps of: preparing a coil assembly body in which a coil is attached on a magnetic core and a mold body which is formed with a cavity portion in the inside thereof and which includes at least one opening portion, putting a viscous admixture including magnetic powders and thermosetting resin and the coil assembly body in the cavity portion, pushing the put-in viscous admixture in the mold body, and thermally-curing the pushed-in viscous admixture and forming a magnetic exterior body which covers the coil assembly body.
Support edifice for three-dimensional printing
This invention relates to three-dimensional printing. This invention in particularly relates to a method of fabricating a three-dimensional object using a support edifice and also using a mold material with structural additives. The support edifice is fabricated in the same crafting material as the final three-dimensional object in the same manner as the printing of the final three-dimensional object (mold and crafting in a layer by layer manner). This method enables the support edifice to also transform during post processing in the same manner as the final three-dimensional object, thus supporting the object until finished. The system for fabricating the object comprises a dual printhead comprising a first dispensing nozzle for depositing the filament material in a flowable fluid form and a second dispensing nozzle for depositing the crafting medium, which is in a paste form. The printhead can also include a heating system or a drying apparatus. The three-dimensional imaging process for making objects, preferably metal objects or ceramic objects, on a layer-by-layer basis under the control of a data processing system is disclosed. The printing of the three-dimensional object such as heavy objects or an object having different parts having a very thin gap or space. It is important to use different processing steps and/or material to print such three-dimensional objects. The present invention provides a solution by printing a support edifice comprising a special structural additive for the mold, and further the support edifice can be printed simultaneously while printing the mold and crafting-paste material on a layer-by-layer basis. The mold material is mixed with the structural additive. The structural additive is useful for prohibiting either fusing of the object with the support edifice, or in alternative embodiments, the fusing of one part of an object with another part of an object.
Debinder for 3D objects
A debinder provides for debinding printed green parts in an additive manufacturing system. The debinder can include a storage chamber, a process chamber, a distill chamber, a waste chamber, and a condenser. The storage chamber stores a liquid solvent for debinding the green part. The process chamber debinds the green part using a volume of the liquid solvent transferred from the storage chamber. The distill chamber collects a solution drained from the process chamber and produces a solvent vapor from the solution. The condenser condenses the solvent vapor to the liquid solvent and transfer the liquid solvent to the storage chamber. The waste chamber collects a waste component of the solution.
Method of producing mechanoluminescent fibers
Described herein is the application of centrifugal spinning to provide a flexible mechanoluminescent material composed of rare earth metal doped fibers. Rare earth metal doped fibers are formed, in one embodiment, by centrifugal spinning.
Heat sink composition for electrically resistive and thermally conductive circuit breaker and load center and method of preparation therefor
The disclosed concept relates to compositions and methods for the manufacture of electrically resistive, thermally conductive electrical switching apparatus. The composition includes a polymer component and a nanofiber component. The thermal conductivity of the nanofiber component is higher than the thermal conductivity of the polymer component such that the electrical switching apparatus which includes the composition of the disclosed concept has improved heat dissipation as compared to an electrical switching apparatus constructed of the polymer component in the absence of the nanofiber component. Further, the disclosed concept relates to methods of towering the internal temperature of an electrically resistive, thermally conductive electrical switching apparatus by forming the internals of the apparatus, e.g., circuit breakers, and/or the enclosure from the composition of the disclosed concept.
Three-dimensional printing
In an example of a method for three-dimensional (3D) printing, a polymeric or polymeric composite build material is applied. A dielectric agent is selectively applied on at least a portion of the polymeric or polymeric composite build material. The dielectric agent includes a dielectric material having an effective relative permittivity (ε.sub.r) value ranging from 1.1 to about 10,000. A fusing agent is selectively applied on the at least the portion of the polymeric or polymeric composite build material, and the polymeric or polymeric composite build material is exposed to radiation to fuse the at least the portion of the polymeric or polymeric composite build material to form a region of a layer of a 3D part. The region exhibits a dielectric property, a piezoelectric property, or a combination thereof.
