Manufacturing method of light guide plate, light guide plate, backlight unit, and liquid crystal display device
The present invention provides a method for producing a light guide plate including a light-diffusing surface. The method includes (1) applying a protonic polar solvent to a surface of a polycarbonate substrate, and (2) heating the polycarbonate substrate in a water-containing environment to cause precipitation of bisphenol A particles each having a particle size of 10 μm or smaller on the surface of the polycarbonate substrate.
Composite molded article having two-layer structure
The present invention has an object of providing a molded article of a composite structure obtained by bonding a polar thermoplastic resin, especially polyacetal, with another resin in a simple manner. According to the present invention, a molded article of a composite structure obtained by bonding a polar thermoplastic resin and a resin containing an aliphatic ester structure as a main component to each other in the state where at least a face at which both of the materials contact each other is in a melted state can be provided.
Composite container, inner label and plastic member
A composite preform including a preform and a plastic member in close contact with the outer surface of the preform is made by preparing the preform made of plastic material and arranging the plastic member to surround the outer surface of the preform. Subsequently, the composite preform is heated and inserted in a blow molding die and undergoes blow molding in the blow molding die, by which the preform and the plastic member of the composite preform are inflated integrally and a composite container is obtained.
PROTECTIVE FILM-ATTACHED FUNCTIONAL SHEET
A protective film-attached functional sheet includes a protective film bonded to a functional sheet including aromatic polycarbonate sheets and a functional layer sandwiched between the aromatic polycarbonate sheets, the functional layer being a polyvinyl alcohol polarizing film layer, a photochromic layer, or a combination. The protective film is a polyolefin resin film that includes at least two layers: a base layer formed of a polypropylene having a melting point equal to or higher than a glass transition temperature of the aromatic polycarbonate and an adhesive layer on one surface of the base layer and being a resin composition containing a polyolefin rubber and a polyolefin having a melting point lower than the glass transition temperature but equal to or higher than 15° C. lower than the glass transition temperature; or at least three layers: the aforementioned two layers and an intermediate layer between the base layer and the adhesive layer.
ORGANIC GLASS LAMINATE COATED WITH INORGANIC OXIDE FILM
An objective of the present invention is to provide an organic glass laminate that exhibits excellent weathering resistance and abrasion resistance, and that can be used as an exterior member. This organic glass laminate comprises at least the following, in order: an organic glass base, a cured layer formed from the cured product of a resin composition, which comprises a curable resin and a UV absorber agent; and an inorganic oxide film. The glass transition temperature of the cured product which constitutes the cured layer is adjusted to 80-160° C., and the thickness of the inorganic oxide film is set to at least 0.01 μm and less than 0.5 μm, whereby weathering resistance and abrasion resistance are significantly improved, and the organic glass laminate is made suitable for use as an exterior member.
COMPOSITE ARTICLE AND METHOD OF FORMING A COMPOSITE ARTICLE
The present disclosure relates to a composite article that may include a plastic component, and a silicone component bonded the plastic component. The plastic component and the silicone component may be bonded at an intersecting region between a first surface of the plastic component and a first surface of the silicone component. The intersecting region may include at least one of an acetone content of not greater than about 0.2 ppm, an MEK content of not greater than about 0.2 ppm, or a trimethylsilanol content of not greater than about 0.2 ppm.
DECORATIVE RADOME AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME
The invention is directed to a method of producing a decorative radome, comprising providing a substrate having a first surface and a second surface; applying, to at least a portion of the second surface of the substrate, a decorative layer comprising a layer of a metal or an alloy comprising a metal and a metalloid; and overmolding at least the decorative layer with a radio-transmissive polymer to provide an overmolded layer as well as a decorative radome comprising a first layer comprising a, preferably radio-transmissive, polymer, the first layer having a front surface; a second layer comprising a, preferably radio-transmissive, polymer, the second layer having a rear surface; and a decorative layer, between at least a portion of the first and second layer, comprising a layer of metal or an alloy comprising a metal and a metalloid, wherein the second layer directly or indirectly abuts the decorative layer and is directly adhesion bound or indirectly connected to the first layer, and wherein at least one of the first or second layers is comprised of a polymer capable of being formed by overmolding at a barrel nozzle temperature below 300 degrees Celsius.
System and method for ground-based advertising
A method for installing an advertising unit on a ground surface includes cleaning an installation area located at the ground surface, applying an adhesive at the installation area, depositing the advertising unit at the installation area atop the adhesive, and curing the adhesive. In some embodiments, the advertising unit comprises a back unit having a track which accommodates a cover in a sliding fashion. In some embodiments, the installation area may be excavated to render an upper surface of the advertising unit flush with the surface of the ground when deposited.
FILM, MULTILAYERED ARTICLE, THERMOFORMED ARTICLE, IN-MOLD FORMED ARTICLE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING FORMED ARTICLE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING IN-MOLD FORMED ARTICLE
Provided is a film including a polycarbonate resin capable of achieving excellent drawdown resistance during thermoforming and excellent formability in processing a bent portion and the like thereof. The film contains a polycarbonate resin (a) which satisfies the following expression (i), when a viscosity at a shear rate of 6.080×10 [1/s] measured at 300° C. is X [Pa.Math.s] and a viscosity at a shear rate of 6.080×10.sup.3 [1/s] measured at 300° C. is Y [Pa.Math.s].

A respiratory mask includes a frame and a cushion module. The frame can include a front wall having a vent and/or a gas inlet opening and a collar extending away from the front wall. The collar surrounds the vent and/or the gas inlet opening. The cushion module comprises a cushion and a housing, which is made of a material more rigid than the cushion. The housing defines a connection opening. A friction coupling selectively couples the cushion module to the frame and comprises an elastomeric friction member coupled to a portion of the housing that defines the connection opening. In some arrangements, an outer surface of the friction member is exposed when the cushion module is coupled to the frame. In some arrangements, the housing extends through the peripheral surface.
