STITCHBONDED THERMOPLASTIC NONWOVEN TEXTILE ELEMENTS
An article with a component joined with stitchbonding to a nonwoven textile formed from a plurality of thermoplastic polymer filaments. The nonwoven material, component, yarn, and stitch pattern can be optimized using disclosed structures and components to provide the article with desirable characteristics such as increased tensile and tear strength, improved aesthetics, moisture resistance and to limit or modify the stretch of the article in one or more directions and the like. A variety of products, including apparel (e.g., shirts, pants, footwear) may incorporate the article. In some of these products, the nonwoven textile may also be joined to the component with other bonding structures such as heat bonding, adhesives and the like.
Fluid-Filled Chamber for an Article of Footwear
A fluid-filled chamber is provided and includes a first barrier layer, a second barrier layer, a foam structure, and a tensile member. The second barrier layer is secured to the first barrier layer to define an interior void between the first barrier layer and the second barrier layer. The interior void contains a predetermined volume of fluid. The foam structure and the tensile member are disposed within the interior void, whereby the tensile member includes a plurality of fibers extending in a first direction between the first barrier layer and the second barrier layer.
Defect-Free Polymer Films and Related Protective Sheets, Articles, and Methods
Multi-layer protective sheets of the invention are useful in a range of indoor and outdoor applications in, for example, the transportation, architectural and sporting goods industries. In one embodiment, a multi-layer protective sheet comprises at least one defect-free carrier layer. In another embodiment, a multi-layer protective sheet comprises an in-situ polymerized carrier layer. In yet another embodiment, a multi-layer protective sheet comprises a carrier layer having a peak loss factor of at least about 0.5 when tested as a standalone film according to the Loss Factor Test Method described herein.
Photochromic polyurethane laminate
A photochromic polyurethane laminate that is constructed to solve certain manufacturing difficulties involved in the production of plastic photochromic lenses is disclosed. The photochromic laminate includes at least two layers of a resinous material and a photochromic polyurethane layer that is interspersed between the two resinous layers and which contains photochromic compounds. The polyurethane layer is formed by curing a mixture of a solid thermoplastic polyurethane, at least one isocyanate prepolymer, at least one photochromic compound, and a stabilizing system.

Shoes including wool and method of manufacturing upper for shoes
Provided is a shoe including a sole and an upper, where the upper includes an inner upper and an outer upper. The inner upper includes 90% or more of a wool fiber and the outer upper includes a combination of 50 to 80% by weight of the wool fiber and 20 to 50% by weight of a synthetic fiber based on the total weight of the outer upper.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING A PROFILED ELEMENT
What is described is a method for manufacturing a profile element for sealing building-structure joints, especially for sealing against sound and smoke and optionally against fire, to an apparatus for manufacturing such a profile element and to the use of the profile element manufactured according to the invention for the acoustic, smokeproof and/or fireproof sealing of connecting joints in drywalls, especially of expansion joints. In particular, an improved method is described for continuous and endless manufacture of such a profile element.
METHODS FOR MAKING PRE-FABRICATED INSULATED WALL STRUCTURES AND APPARATUS FOR USE IN SUCH METHODS
Methods of manufacturing pre-fabricated insulated wall structures are described in this specification. The methods include (a) attaching a foam panel to a front frame surface of a substantially horizontally positioned frame; (b) placing the frame having the foam panel attached thereto on a track conveyor configured to convey the frame having the foam panel attached thereto in a substantially upright position; (c) conveying the frame having the foam panel attached thereto on the track conveyer in a substantially upright position to a spray foam application station; and (d) spray applying a spray foam composition into a cavity of the frame to form a substantially upright positioned wall structure having a foam layer deposited in the cavity in which the foam layer adheres to the foam panel. Also disclosed are track conveyors suitable for use in such methods.
BALANCE FOOTWEAR WITH SHANK
An injection moulded balance footwear comprising an upper and a shoe sole which has an convex bottom profile forming an impact region in a midfoot region MR. The shoe sole comprises an outsole, a midsole connected to the outsole by injection moulding and an embedded shank which is configured to stabilise a wearer's foot. The shank has a U-shaped shank body including a U-bend portion being positioned at a heel region, a first U-leg and a second U-leg extending from the heel region through the midfoot region into a forefoot region. The shank has a bridge portion at the midfoot region which interconnects the first and second U-leg. The shank is improved in that the bridge portion protrudes below the U-shaped shank body.
