SMART LAWN SENSOR ADAPTED TO MONITOR LAWN HEIGHT AND SYSTEM OF PROVIDING LAWN CARE
20200149869 · 2020-05-14 ·

A smart lawn sensor is provided. The smart lawn sensor provides a grass height sensor adapted to determine the elevation of adjacent grass. The smart lawn sensor provides control circuitry operatively associated with the grass height sensor. The control circuitry may be programmed to set thresholds for the determined grass height so that the control circuitry sends notifications to one or more remote computing devices if the set thresholds are met or exceeded.

WALK REEL MOWER WITH A TELESCOPIC FLOATING HANDLE ASSEMBLY HAVING INTERCHANGEABLE HANDLES, IN SITU BACKLAPPING, A TRACTION BAIL, AND INTERCHANGEABLE REEL CUTTING UNITS

A walk reel mower has a traction frame that carries a telescopic handle assembly to accommodate users of different heights. A pivotal bail on the handle assembly allows the user to slip a traction clutch to temporarily slow the mower down when turning the mower around. The handle assembly has a resilient isolator that acts in shear to permit the traction frame of the mower to maintain the quality and the height of cut when operated by users having a heavy downpressure touch on the handle assembly. A fixed head reel cutting unit or a flex head reel cutting unit can be interchangeably carried on the traction frame using a common mount therefor. Backlapping can be accomplished in situ by using an idler wheel between a driven transport wheel and the reel of the cutting unit to reverse the direction of the reel.

An apparatus for a vehicle used for positioning sod strips includes a structure for mounting on the vehicle frame and a pushing plate slidably mounted to the structure. The pushing plate is arranged to be abuttable to an edge of a sod strip. A pair of cylinders are operatively mounted between the structure and the pushing plate to slide the pushing plate away from the structure to laterally shift a sod strip to tighten up seams between adjacent sod strips. The pushing plate slides in a lateral direction that is perpendicular to the straight ahead driving direction of the vehicle.

Power rake devices

A dethatcher includes a frame having front and rear ends and a handle extending from the frame rear end. Wheels are coupled to the frame, and a cutting reel is housed in the frame. An engine is included for powering the cutting reel. In one embodiment, a bottom of the engine is below a top of the cutting reel when the cutting reel is in use. In another embodiment, the cutting reel is located between the engine and the frame front end. Another dethatcher has sequentially from a rear end: a handle, an engine, a cutting reel powered by the engine, and a bagger for collecting debris from the cutting reel.
