A method of making a brush includes providing a plurality of first filaments, each having a first end and a second end; bringing the plurality of first filaments into a first predetermined shape such that the first ends are arranged side by side on a common contour; fixedly connecting the first ends so that a first pre-tuft having the first predetermined shape and a connected first end is formed; bringing a second tuft element having a first end and a second end together with the first pre-tuft into a second predetermined shape such that the first end of the second tuft element and the connected first end of the first pre-tuft are arranged side by side on a common contour; fixedly connecting the connected first end of the first pre-tuft and the first end of the at least second tuft element so that a final tuft having the second predetermined shape and a connected end is formed; and attaching the final tuft to a brush body by overmolding the final tuft's connected end with a plastic material.

A high-pressure tank comprises a liner, a strengthening layer including a first helical layer and a first hoop layer each including a carbon fiber, and a protective layer including a second helical layer and a second hoop layer each including a glass fiber, in this order. The high-pressure tank is provided with a stress-generating portion, a reinforcement layer includes a first area α overlapping the stress-generating portion in a stacking direction and a second area β that is an area except for the first area, and a one-round portion including a final crossing portion at an end of winding of the glass fiber constituting the second hoop layer overlaps the second area in the stacking direction.
LACROSSE HEAD POCKET AND RELATED METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A lacrosse head pocket and a related method of manufacture are provided to facilitate consistent, repeatable and/or custom manufacture of lacrosse equipment. The pocket can be constructed from multiple different sections joined with one another, or can be knitted, weaved or otherwise assembled on an automated assembly machine from strands, and/or can be formed as a unitary textile material having regions/sections with different physical and/or mechanical properties. The pocket can be integrally molded within portions of a lacrosse head to eliminate manually constructed connections between the pocket and lacrosse head. The lacrosse head can be integrally molded with a lacrosse handle to provide a one-piece unitary lacrosse stick. The lacrosse pocket body can include one or more fused pocket areas. Related methods of manufacturing also are provided.

Various low-density structures, in particular, sandwich panels, based on foam prepared from the low-density microspheres, are also disclosed. Process of preparing low-density polymeric microspheres, per se, and the corresponding low-density structures, based on the microsphere foam, are also disclosed.

[PROBLEM] An object is to provide a reinforcing nonwoven for a foam-molded article, which makes it possible to further improve a mold-setting-property of the reinforcing nonwoven, and makes it possible to foam-mold a seat efficiently. [SOLUTION] A nonwoven for reinforcing a foam-molded article, the nonwoven comprising: a reinforcing nonwoven layer, and a resin layer; wherein, the resin layer overlaps the reinforcing nonwoven layer, a resin for the resin layer has a softening point A of not lower than 20° C. and not higher than 60° C., and the nonwoven has an air permeability of not lower than 30 cc/cm.sup.2/sec and not higher than 300 cc/cm.sup.2/sec.

A process for manufacturing a composite automobile part by overmoulding, over at least one surface of an insert (1) comprising a first plastic material, a layer of a second thermoplastic material, comprises the following successive steps: a) a step of positioning said insert (1) in a mould, and b) a step of moulding said second thermoplastic material over said insert. At least one of said first and second materials comprises an additive, said additive comprising a polymer to which carboxylic anhydride monomers are grafted. Said first and second materials are respectively based on polyamide and based on polypropylene, or vice versa and said second material comprises talc as mineral filler.

A wire harness assembly and a method of forming such a wire harness assembly is presented. The wire harness assembly includes a plurality of wire cables and a wire support defining elongate slots having open and closed ends. The cables are disposed within the slots. Retaining teeth are defined by side walls of the slots and are configured to separate one wire cable from another wire cable in the same slot. The wire harness assembly also includes a slug formed of a moldable material that encases the wire support. The slug also encases a portion of each of the wire cables. The wire harness assembly further includes a grommet encircling the slug. The slug may be formed by disposing the cables within the slots of the wire support, arranging the wire support and the cables in a mold, injecting a moldable material into the mold, and curing the moldable material.
