Lacrosse head pocket and related method of manufacture
A lacrosse head pocket and a related method of manufacture are provided to facilitate consistent, repeatable and/or custom manufacture of lacrosse equipment. The pocket can be constructed from multiple different sections joined with one another, or can be knitted, weaved or otherwise assembled on an automated assembly machine from strands, and/or can be formed as a unitary textile material having regions/sections with different physical and/or mechanical properties. The pocket can be integrally molded within portions of a lacrosse head to eliminate manually constructed connections between the pocket and lacrosse head. The lacrosse head can be integrally molded with a lacrosse handle to provide a one-piece unitary lacrosse stick. Related methods of manufacturing also are provided.
INSULATING ELEMENT
An insulating material for insulating a structural element in a vehicle including a support element with a first surface and a second surface, and an expandable material which is arranged on the support element. The expandable material is arranged here on a first sub-region of the first surface of the support element, and a second sub-region of the first surface is free from expandable material. The first sub-region is configured here in such a manner that the first surface of the support element is completely covered with expanded material after expansion of the expandable material.
SURFACE TREATMENT METHOD FOR OBJECTS
A surface treatment method of an object, including the following steps: immersion of the object in a solution containing an acid or a mixture of acids, and having a pH between 0 and 6, so as to impregnate the surface of the object, removal of the object from the acid solution, and heating of the object to a temperature between 50 C. and the melting temperature of the object, until the required gloss and roughness surface properties are obtained.
The method is particularly but not exclusively applicable to objects derived from additive manufacturing techniques.
OPERATING FLUID CONTAINER WITH STIFFENING ELEMENT, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN OPERATING FLUID CONTAINER
Operating fluid container made of thermoplastic for a motor vehicle, with the following features: the operating fluid container has two openings in opposite container walls of the operating fluid container, and a stiffening element extending through both openings; and two stiffening element ends engage behind the container walls from the outside, such that the stiffening element counteracts a deformation caused by internal pressure of the operating fluid container, wherein the operating fluid container is characterized by the following features: a stabilizing element is arranged between at least one stiffening element end and a container wall; the stabilizing element has a through-opening through which the stiffening element extends; the stabilizing element has a first and a second thermoplastic; and the stabilizing element is welded to a container wall.
Method for reinforcing a subframe
The present invention relates to a method for reinforcing a vehicle subframe comprising one or more hollow sheet metal parts, comprising: determining at least one area on a hollow sheet metal part of a subframe with respect to specified conditions; preparing a reinforcement part which is insertable into the hollow sheet metal part at the determined area, wherein the reinforcement part comprises: a carrier having at least one hollow chamber; and a pre-foam of a foam material, which is able to expand after being heated, the pre-foam being isolated from the at least one hollow chamber and distributed at least partly on the periphery of the carrier; and installing the reinforcement part within the hollow sheet metal part at the determined area and heating the pre-foam such that it expands. The present invention also relates to a vehicle subframe reinforced by said method.
Lacrosse head pocket and related method of manufacture

The pocket can be constructed from multiple different sections joined with one another, or can be knitted, weaved or otherwise assembled on an automated assembly machine from strands, and/or can be formed as a unitary textile material having regions/sections with different physical and/or mechanical properties. The pocket can be integrally molded within portions of a lacrosse head to eliminate manually constructed connections between the pocket and lacrosse head. The lacrosse head can be integrally molded with a lacrosse handle to provide a one-piece unitary lacrosse stick. Related methods of manufacturing also are provided.
Method of joining two objects
A method for joining two objects by anchoring an insert portion provided on one of the objects in an opening provided on the other one of the objects. The anchorage is achieved by liquefaction of a thermoplastic material and interpenetration of the liquefied material and a penetrable material, the two materials being arranged on opposite surfaces of the insert portion and the wall of the opening. Before such liquefaction and interpenetration, an interference fit is established in which such opposite surfaces are pressed against each other, and, for the anchoring, mechanical vibration energy and possibly a shearing force are applied, wherein the shearing force puts a shear stress on the interference fit.

INSULATING ELEMENT
An insulating element for insulating a structural element in a vehicle including a carrier element having an edge region and an expandable material which is provided at least on the edge region on the carrier element. The expandable material projects beyond the edge region of the carrier element in at least one direction so that the expandable material forms a flexible projection in this at least one direction.
