Compression belt for inflation and sealing devices
The present disclosure is directed to a compression belt for inflation and sealing devices. The device may include an inflation assembly, a heating assembly, and a drive mechanism. The inflation assembly may direct fluid between first and second overlapping plies of a flexible web material to inflate chambers between the plies. The heating assembly may be operable to heat the first and second plies of the web material to create a longitudinal heat seal that seals the fluid in the inflated chambers. The drive mechanism may drive the web material in a downstream direction. The drive mechanism may tension the web material against the heating assembly. The drive mechanism may include a first belt including a high grip material on a surface that contacts the web material to grip the web material during heating by the heating assembly.
METHOD AND AN APPARATUS FOR MAKING A THREE-DIMENSIONAL OBJECT AND A MEMBRANE THEREFORE
An apparatus for making a three-dimensionally curved object, said apparatus comprising a membrane having a moulding surface, which is configurable into a predetermined shape by individually adjusting an array of actuators acting on the surface opposite the moulding surface of said membrane, wherein the membrane is a ferromagnetic membrane and the actuators are provided with magnetic joints at the distal ends of said actuators.
Method and an apparatus for making a three-dimensional object and a membrane therefore
The present invention concerns an apparatus for making a three-dimensionally curved object, said apparatus comprising a membrane having a moulding surface, which is configurable into a predetermined shape by individually adjusting an array of actuators acting on the surface opposite the moulding surface of said membrane, wherein the membrane is a ferromagnetic membrane and the actuators are provided with magnetic joints at the distal ends of said actuators.
GOLF BALL MOLD
The present invention is directed to a mold for forming the cover of a golf ball having a non-planar parting line on its spherical surface.
MALE COMPONENT AND RESPECTIVE MOULD UNIT FOR PRODUCING A VEHICLE SADDLE
The present invention relates to a male component or punch for a mould unit for producing a vehicle saddle.
Powder-based additive manufacturing process
The invention relates to an additive manufacturing process (3D printing) using particles having a meltable polymer. The meltable polymer comprises a thermoplastic polyurethane polymer which has a flowing temperature (intersection of E and E in the DMA) of 80 C. to <180 C. and a Shore A hardness according to DIN ISO 7619-1 of 50 Shore A and <85 Shore A and which, at a temperature T, has a melt volume rate (melt volume rate (MVR)) according to ISO 1133 of 5 to <15 cm.sup.3/10 min. The invention also relates to an item which can be obtained by means of the method.
ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING OF A FREE FORM OBJECT MADE OF MULTICOMPONENT MATERIALS
Manufacture of 3D object by a printing method that enables the use several reactive materials sequentially. A laser-enhanced jetting-based 3D printer forms successive layers of reactive compositions on one another and the first and subsequent layers are allowed to crosslink between the printings to ultimately form the 3D object. Additional reactive compositions may be printed prior to the crosslinking. The crosslinking may be effected by heating, with or without a catalyst, and post printing curing may be employed after the 3D object is formed.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MICROPATTERNING OBJECTS
Implanted medical devices need a mechanism of immobilization to surrounding tissues, which minimizes tissue damage while providing reliable long-term anchoring. This disclosure relates to techniques for patterning arbitrarily shaped 3D objects and to patterned balloon devices having micro- or nano-patterning on an outer surface of an inflatable balloon. The external pattern can provide enhanced friction and anchoring in an aqueous environment. Examples of these types of patterns are hexagonal arrays inspired by tree frogs, corrugated patterns, and microneedle patterns. The patterned balloon devices can be disposed between an implant and surrounding tissues to facilitate anchoring of the implant.
Fuse molded three dimensional article and a method for making the same
A fuse molded modeling three dimensional article having areas of dissimilar or different hardness is described, wherein one of said areas is hard and is plastic, metal, glass, wood, concrete, rock, or mixtures thereof, and another of said areas is a less hard area comprising a controlled distribution hydrogenated styrenic block copolymer composition. Although the metal, glass, wood, concrete, and rock are not fuse moldable material, the plastic and the controlled distribution hydrogenated styrenic block copolymer composition are. Thus the scope of the invention is meant to include articles where only one area or layer of the article is fuse molded, or wherein both the hard area/layer and the soft area/layer is formed via a fuse molded technique.
Multiphase polyurethane composition having reduced foam development
The present invention relates to a two-component polyurethane composition composed of at least one polyol, at least one polyisocyanate, and at least one emulsifier which is not homogeneously miscible with the at least one polyol. The present invention further relates to the use of this polyurethane composition as a binder for producing fiber composites, a method for producing these fiber composites, the fiber composites themselves, and use thereof.
