METHOD AND MACHINE FOR BONDING A FLEXIBLE COATING TO A SUPPORT USING ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES AND LINING PRODUCED IN THIS WAY
20170182757 · 2017-06-29 ·

A machine (1) and a method for thermobonding using an emission of electromagnetic waves (13), for example microwaves, to activate one or a plurality of adhesive layers located between a support and one or a plurality of layers of flexible covering, through a bed of particles (4) fluidized by a humidified gas. A multi-layer upholstery item including at least one non-permeable layer and produced in a single operation is also described.

SYSTEM, NOZZLE AND METHOD FOR COATING ELASTIC STRANDS
20170165905 · 2017-06-15 ·

A method of contact coating at least one elastic strand with an adhesive is disclosed. A first strand has a periphery with an upper surface. The first strand is moved in a machine direction relative to a contact nozzle, the adhesive is discharged from the contact nozzle into contact with the upper surface of the first strand, and pressurized air is discharged at the adhesive on the first strand to cause the adhesive to spread around the periphery of the first strand without blowing adhesive off the first strand.

Divided conduit
09673603 · 2017-06-06 · ·

A divided conduit containing a thermoplastic conduit and at least one strip-shaped film having a first longitudinal edge and a second longitudinal edge which are embedded into the inner surface of the conduit forming at least two flexible, longitudinal channels for enveloping cables or other elongated structures.

Athletic Band with Removable Module

A device for monitoring athletic activity of a user. In one example, the device has a sensor, and executes a calibration process using data received from the sensor to determine a correct positioning of the device on the user.

AQUEOUS POLYURETHANEUREA COMPOSITIONS INCLUDING DISPERSIONS AND FILMS

An article comprising a polyurethane composition and an array of fibers wherein said array of fibers are embedded in said polyurethane composition such that a portion of said fibers extends beyond an internal surface of said molded article and an external surface of said molded article.

Mold made of a composite material and process employing this mold

A mold for manufacturing products made of composite materials, which comprises at least one functional portion made of a composite material joined to at least one interface made of a composite material which projects at least partially around the functional portion, said mold being provided with one or more mechanic fastening devices for the coupling with at least another mold.

SHORT FIBER NONWOVEN MOLDED ARTICLES
20170130377 · 2017-05-11 ·

A method of forming a nonwoven article comprising receiving fibrous material comprising thermoplastic fibers; processing the fibrous material to produce short fibers, wherein the processing step comprises granulation using at least one granulator with a screen; distributing the short fibers approximately evenly across an area to form a short fiber web, wherein the distributing step comprises a use of a recyclate spreader; heating the short fiber web to fuse the short fibers to form a nonwoven material; and forming a sheet of the nonwoven material.

FEATURE MOLDING INTO FABRICS
20170113429 · 2017-04-27 ·

A fastening mechanism that is integrated with the material of an article of clothing is described. The article of clothing, preferably a sock or glove, is treated with a chemical agent and a press to form a fastening mechanism for holding or coupling of multiple articles of clothing or manufacture. The fastening mechanism of one article of clothing can then be matched to an interlocking fastening mechanism of another article of clothing thereby joining the two articles of clothing together. The chemical agent and subsequent fastening mechanism is generally desired to be non-reactive and is preferably resistant to water and heat. This allows the article of clothing to be worn and washed as normal without a loss of functionality.

Vacuum infusion adhesive and methods related thereto

An epoxy adhesive that is adapted to enable spray delivery and seamless polymerization during epoxy resin vacuum infusion techniques is disclosed. The epoxy adhesive can include one or more epoxy resins and one or more solvents that are used to dissolve the one or more epoxy resins. An adduct, a tackifier, and fumed silica can also be added to the adhesive.

ATHLETIC BAND WITH REMOVABLE MODULE

A manufacturing method uses a main body piece formed of an elastic fabric material and having a first portion having a first end, a second portion having a second end opposite the first end, and two side ends extending between the first and second ends. A bonding material is placed in contact with the first and/or second portions, arranged in lines extending in a direction between the first and second ends. The lines are spaced from each other in a second direction extending between the side ends. The main body piece is folded so that the first portion confronts the second portion, defining a fold line, where the bonding material is positioned between the first and second portions. The folded main body piece is then heat pressed and bent so the side ends are connected together to form a band having a tubular body defining a central passage.
