ADJUSTMENT ELEMENT WITH DAMPENING FASTENING SLEEVE AS WELL AS AN INSTALLATION METHOD AND A MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR SAME
An adjustment element with which a component is fastenable and positionable in the space has a sleeve-like hollow screw with a first and a second axial end, a drive feature and an outer thread at which the component is supportable and positionable in an axial direction of the hollow screw. The adjustment element also has a tube-like fastening opening that extends between the first and second axial ends of the hollow screw, a dampening fastening sleeve that is arranged within the fastening opening so that the hollow screw is fastenable by means of the fastening sleeve with a fastening means to a structural component and vibrations between the structural component and the hollow screw can be reduced.
SECURING A SECOND OBJECT TO A FIRST OBJECT
A method of mechanically securing a first object including a thermoplastic material in a solid state to a second object with a generally flat sheet portion, with a perforation of the sheet portion, and with the sheet portion having an edge along the perforation is provided, wherein the first object is positioned relative to the second object so that the edge is in contact with the thermoplastic material and wherein mechanical vibration energy is coupled into the assembly including the first and second objects until a flow portion of the thermoplastic material due to friction heat generated between the edge and the thermoplastic material becomes flowable and flows around the edge to at least partially embed the edge in the thermoplastic material. After the mechanical vibration stops, the thermoplastic material is caused to re-solidify, whereby the re-solidified thermoplastic material at least partially embedding the edge anchors the first object in the second object.
FASTENING A PART TO AN OBJECT IN AN ADJUSTED POSITION
An adaptor for anchoring a second object with respect to a first object includes an anchoring part and an adjustment part. The anchoring part includes a distally facing anchoring surface and a proximally facing first control surface, and the adjustment part includes a distally facing second control surface positioned to abut against the first control surface. The anchoring part and the adjustment part define a common axis, and the first control surface or the second control surface or both is/are helical with respect to the axis, whereby a relative z position of the adjustment part with respect to the anchoring part is adjustable by rotating the adjustment part relative to the anchoring part around the axis while the second control surface abuts against the first control surface.
Cap Manufacture Methods and Apparatus
A method for manufacturing a cap comprises molding the cap in a cavity of a mold, the cavity formed by a plurality of members. The cap is released from the mold, including: a stage wherein there is a relative axial shift of a first member forming a portion of the mold cavity along an inner diameter surface of an upper sidewall and dosing tube relative to a second member forming a portion of the mold cavity along an underside of an upper web.
PROCESSES FOR MOLDING TAMPER EVIDENCE CLOSURES FOR CONTAINERS
Thermoformed polyester resin closures for closing containers, the polyester resins including polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyethylene furandicarboxylate (PEF), or a copolymer including PET and PEF, are provided herein. Methods of making the thermoformed closures are further provided. Methods of sterilizing the thermoformed closures are further provided.
HEATED BLOW MOLD THREAD INSERT FOR FORMING THREADS OF A CONTAINER
A blow mold assembly for forming a polymeric container. The blow mold assembly has a thread insert defining threads configured to form finish threads on a finish of the polymeric container. An electric heater of the blow mold assembly is configured to heat the thread insert as the polymeric container is formed.
Snap-over spout fitment and manufacture methods
A container comprises: a body having a neck extending to a mouth defining a body opening; a spout fitment having a spout within the body opening, an outer wall surrounding an upper portion of the neck, and an intermediate wall between the outer wall and the spout; and a cap having sidewall. An external thread of the cap sidewall is engaged to an internal thread of the intermediate wall. The spout fitment has one or more projections extending mouthward from the outer wall in backlocked engagement with one or more features of the neck.
Anchor for fixing in a wall
A self-drilling anchor including a screw and an anchor body configured to receive a shank of the screw, the anchor body including: a flange at an end oriented toward a head of the screw, a threaded portion, a deformable expansion portion between the flange and the threaded portion, and a rotation locking mechanism preventing rotation of the anchor body relative to the wall. The threaded portion is configured to engage with the screw thread and advance in a direction of the flange, by deforming the expansion portion, when the screw is screwed into the threaded portion. The anchor body further includes a piercing element at the opposite end from the flange, the anchor including a fastening mechanism between the screw and the anchor body, the fastening mechanism being detachable by a torque, applied between the screw and the anchor body, equal to or greater than a predetermined torque.
ACCESS PORT MEMBER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
An access port member includes: a body 8 to be connected to a predetermined portion of a blood circuit for causing a patient's blood to extracorporeally circulate, the body 8 internally including a flow path 8b for circulating the blood and having an opening 8c communicating with the flow path 8b; a valve 9 that is made of an elastic member covering the opening 8c and attached to an attachment part 8d of the body 8, the valve including a slit that makes a transition from a closed state to an open state when pressed by a tip 11a of a syringe 11 capable of collecting blood or injecting a drug; a cap part 10 fixed to the body 8 with the valve portion 9 interposed therebetween and the slit 9a facing outward; and a rib 9b formed integrally along the periphery of the slit 9a in the valve 9.
Method for producing a thermoformed item, and such an item
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a thermoformed article, in particular a packaging article, such as a container or container lid, and to a thermoformed article, in particular a packaging article, e.g. in form of a container or container lid. At least one threaded or catch segment projecting in a radial direction is formed on such an article in order to provide a thread-like or bayonet-coupling-like structure and thus a possibility for closing the article.
