A method for manufacturing a cap comprises molding the cap in a cavity of a mold, the cavity formed by a plurality of members. The cap is released from the mold, including: a stage wherein there is a relative axial shift of a first member forming a portion of the mold cavity along an inner diameter surface of an upper sidewall and dosing tube relative to a second member forming a portion of the mold cavity along an underside of an upper web.

METHOD FOR SELECTIVE PLACEMENT OF REINFORCING FIBERS IN POLYMERIC COMPONENTS

A method of forming a reinforced polymeric component includes securing a plurality of pins within a mold and wrapping reinforcing fibers around the pins to form a web of reinforcing fibers. The web of reinforcing fibers has a plurality of layers. The method of forming a reinforced polymeric component further includes adding a polymer to the mold and processing the polymer to form a molded polymeric component that contains the pins and the web of reinforcing fibers. A reinforced polymeric component includes a web of reinforcing fibers wrapped around a plurality of pins. The web of reinforcing fibers includes a plurality of layers. The reinforced polymeric component further includes a molded and processed polymer containing the web of reinforcing fibers and pins.

MOLD DEVICE

The mold device according to the present invention is a mold device to resin-seal the semiconductor device including an insert electrode, and in the semiconductor device, the insert electrode is provided with an insert hole, a nut having a screw hole is disposed in the insert electrode so that the insert hole and the screw hole communicate with each other, the mold device includes a mold body into which resin is injected to resin-seal the semiconductor device, including a side of the insert electrode where the nut is disposed, and a rod-like member that is inserted into the insert hole, and the rod-like member is inserted into the screw hole of the nut through the insert hole of the insert electrode to draw the nut to the side of the insert electrode.

Mold and method of manufacturing for fiber-reinforced polymeric sprinkler head part

An injection mold for producing a sprinkler head part and related injection molding methods are described. The sprinkler head part includes a first, second, third and fourth mold portions. The first and second mold portions include first and second shaping elements structured to cooperatively form a body including a substantially cylindrical portion and a substantially planar portion, and two frame arms extending from the substantially planar portion of the body. The third mold portion includes a shaping element structured to form an orifice in the body of the sprinkler head. The fourth mold portion includes a shaping element structured to form a cross member connecting the two frame arms. The injection methods include injecting a composite material in molten form into the mold to form the molded sprinkler head part. The composite material includes thermoplastic polymeric resin and a plurality of reinforcing fibers dispersed in the resin.

Method for Producing a Composite Fiber Component with an Integrated Screw-In Insert

A method is provided for producing a composite fiber component with an integrated screw-in insert. A pressing tool is provided. The pressing tool has a first tool part and a second tool part that can be moved in relation to the first tool part. The parts form a cavity for receiving and forming a fiber preform, when the pressing tool is closed. A screw-in insert is connected to a screw device integrated into the first tool part. The fiber preform is arranged between the first and the second tool parts. The pressing tool is at least partially closed. The screw device is actuated in order to screw the screw-in insert into the fiber preform. The fiber preform is cured.

A brass fitting is in-molded in a plastic pipe fitting, which is coupled to a water supply line in a conventional matter. The brass insert receives a tapered seal with sealing surfaces that seat against the brass insert and a sprinkler head to form a sealed connection. The seal includes a tapered passageway for compression when tightening, as well as an external taper to allow the seal to conform to the socket formed by the plastic pipe fitting and brass insert. Also, a manufacturing method includes in-molding a brass insert within a plastic fitting using an O-ring which interfaces between the brass insert and surrounding molded fitting to seal the brass insert to the fitting. In one embodiment, the seal is used in a polymeric fitting without a brass insert.

Method of producing an assembly for use in a fibre reinforced structural element
