The invention provides a flame-retardant biaxially-oriented polyester film which is porous, and has high reflectance. The flame-retardant biaxially-oriented polyester film contains a polymer component containing polyethylene terephthalate and a flame retardant. The polyester film has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.50 to 0.64 dL/g and a density of 1.21 to 1.27 g/cm.sup.3. A content of the polyethylene terephthalate in the polyester film is 70 to 97% by mass. The flame retardant contains at least one phosphorus-based flame retardant selected from the group consisting of a phosphinate and a diphosphinate. A content of the phosphorus-based flame retardant in the polyester film is 3 to 8% by mass. The polyester film is a porous film having an average reflectance of 60 to 74% at a wavelength of 400 to 700 nm. The polyester film has a thickness of 15 to 45 μm.
ROOF COVER BOARD WITH IMPROVED FRAGMENT SIZE AND PLASTIC-TO-PAPER RATIO
Disclosed herein is a roof cover board and a method of manufacturing an improved cover board product. The method includes receiving waste materials or first use materials, the waste materials or first use materials containing a mixture of cellulose, plastic and other materials; separating the cellulose and the plastic from the mixture; shredding the separated cellulose using a first shredder into a stream of cellulose and shredding the separated plastic using a second shredder into a stream of plastic; selecting a cellulose to plastic ratio from a plurality of cellulose to plastic ratios; metering shredded cellulose from the stream of cellulose and shredded plastic from the stream of plastic according to the selected cellulose to plastic ratio; mixing the metered shredded cellulose and plastic; forming said mixture into a mat; and consolidating the mat into a finished good using heat and pressure.
Fluororesin film having excellent transparency
The present invention aims to provide an ETFE film having excellent transparency and heat resistance and cost efficiency. The present invention relates to a film including a copolymer containing an ethylene unit, a tetrafluoroethylene unit, and a (fluoroalkyl)ethylene unit represented by Formula (1):
CH.sub.2═CX—Rf (1)
wherein X represents H or F, and Rf represents a fluoroalkyl group having 2 or more carbon atoms, the copolymer containing the (fluoroalkyl)ethylene unit in an amount of 0.8 to 2.5 mol % relative to the amount of all the monomer units and containing the ethylene unit and the tetrafluoroethylene unit at a molar ratio of 30.0/70.0 to 50.0/50.0, the film having a crystallinity of 68% or less, the crystallinity being calculated on the basis of a diffraction intensity curve of the film resulting from X-ray diffraction measurement.
PRODUCTION METHOD OF MOLD, MANUFACTURING METHOD OF PATTERN SHEET, PRODUCTION METHOD OF ELECTROFORM, PRODUCTION METHOD OF MOLD USING ELECTROFORM, AND ORIGINAL
Provided are a production method of a mold, a manufacturing method of a pattern sheet, a production method of an electroform, a production method of a mold using an electroform, and an original. The production method includes: preparing an original having an inclined portion which is formed in an enclosed shape on an outer peripheral portion of a protruding pattern formed at a center portion on a base and gradually increases in thickness from inside toward outside, and a thermoplastic resin sheet; and forming a recessed pattern on the thermoplastic resin sheet by pressing the original which is heated against the thermoplastic resin sheet at a position where a flat surface of the original and a surface of the thermoplastic resin sheet are separated from each other, cooling the original in the state where the original is pressed, and separating the original from the thermoplastic resin sheet.
CONCENTRATED AQUEOUS SILK FIBROIN SOLUTION AND USE THEREOF
The present invention provides for concentrated aqueous silk fibroin solutions and an all-aqueous mode for preparation of concentrated aqueous fibroin solutions that avoids the use of organic solvents, direct additives, or harsh chemicals. The invention further provides for the use of these solutions in production of materials, e.g., fibers, films, foams, meshes, scaffolds and hydrogels.
POLYMERIC PIEZOELECTRIC FILM
A polymeric piezoelectric film including an optically active helical chiral polymer (A) having a weight average molecular weight of from 50,000 to 1,000,000, wherein: a crystallinity obtained by a DSC method is from 20% to 80%; a standardized molecular orientation MORc measured by a microwave transmission-type molecular orientation meter based on a reference thickness of 50 μm is from 3.5 to 15.0; and in a waveform measured with an inline film thickness meter and representing a relationship between a position in a width direction on the film and a thickness of the film, a number of peaks A is 20 or less per 1,000 mm of a film width, wherein the peaks A have a peak height of 1.5 μm or more and a peak slope of 0.000035 or more.
Method of making a flexible magnetized sheet
A method of making a flexible magnetized sheet is provided. The method may comprise the steps of (1) using cold extrusion to produce a highly viscous fluid magnetizable sheet, (2) passing the sheet through a magnetic field to create an uncured magnetized sheet, and (3) curing the sheet with electron beam curing. The fluid mixture may comprise magnetizable particles with a random charge orientation and an acrylic resin. The components of the mixture are cool when passed through an extrusion die. The extruded fluid sheet allows for the sheet to be magnetized and then, instead of curing by cooling, cured by the bombardment of electrons via an electron beam (EB) generator. The method can eliminate the heat of extrusion and can allow for more freedom of orientation because the sheet does not cure until it reaches the electron beam curing station.
