PESTICIDE COMPOSITION DELIVERY VEHICLES

Vehicles for delivery and release of pesticide compositions are provided. In one aspect, the delivery vehicle is a capsule configured to resist release of a pesticide composition before application of the capsule at a locus where pest control is desired. The capsule is further configured to degrade following application at the locus where pest control is desired to facilitate release of the pesticide composition. In one particular but non-limiting form, the capsule includes a shell wall including a relatively high Bloom strength gelatin material and a plasticizer material, and the pesticide composition includes a fumigant such as 1,3-dichloropropene. Further embodiments, forms, objects, features, advantages, aspects, and benefits shall become apparent from the description and drawings.

Methods and means to modify a plant genome

Methods and means are provided to modify in a targeted manner the genome of a plant in close proximity to an existing elite event using a double stranded DNA break inducing enzyme. Also provided are plants, in particular cotton plants showing tolerance to a field dose of at least 1 of at least one HPPD inhibitor, and methods for making such plants.

An anti-bacterial and flame-retardant wall covering structure is provided. The wall covering structure includes a fiber substrate, two polyolefin substrates, and an anti-bacterial layer. The two polyolefin substrates are formed on both side surfaces of the fiber substrate to form a sandwich laminate. A polyolefin composition of each of the polyolefin substrates includes a first polyolefin resin material, a second polyolefin resin material, and a flame-retardant additive material. The first polyolefin resin material is a polyethylene resin, and the second polyolefin resin material is a polypropylene resin that includes a propylene block copolymer. Based on a total weight of the polyolefin composition being 100 parts by weight, a content of the propylene block copolymer is not less than 5 parts by weight. The anti-bacterial layer is formed on a surface of the sandwich laminate and includes a fluorine-containing polymer.

Polymers and methods for their manufacture

Embodiments of the invention relate to a novel class of polymers with superior mechanical properties and chemical stability, as compared to known polymers. These polymers are particularly well suited for use in anion exchange membranes (AEMs), including those employed in fuel cells. Novel methods for the manufacture of these polymers are also described.
