Vented LED display and method of manufacturing
A vented LED display is described including an LED display panel having a plurality of LEDs disposed thereon and defining a plurality of vent slots between the plurality of LEDs, each of the plurality of vent slots having a vent height. The vented LED display also includes a unitary injection-molded vent having a plurality of louvers and coupled to the LED display panel such that each louver corresponds to at least one vent slot and includes a louver length extending downwardly to at least 75% of the vent height of the corresponding vent slot.
Preferred break points and paths in airframes for ballistic parachute systems
A preferred break point is provided in the airframe, where there is a ballistic parachute system which includes a rocket which sits in a rocket canister and a canopy which sits in a canopy canister. The airframe includes a composite material and covers the ballistic parachute system. The preferred break point is located in the airframe over the opening of the rocket canister. A preferred break path is provided in the airframe located at least partially over the opening of the rocket canister and at least partially over the opening of the canopy canister.
Methods and Apparatus for Constructing Airships
Systems, apparatuses, and methods for constructing an airship quickly and cost-effectively are described. In one embodiments, an airship structure may have a plurality of mainframes, each comprising interconnected pyramid structures. One of the pyramid structures may include an apex joint, four base joints, first connectors, and second connectors. The apex joint and base joints may each have slots configured for receiving connectors. The apex joint may have four apex-to-base slots and each base joint may have a base-to-apex slot and two base-to-base slots. Each of the first connectors may connect the apex joint to one of the four base joints using one of the apex-to-base slots of the apex joint and the base-to-apex slot of that base joint. Each of the second connectors may connect two of the four base joints using one of the base-to-base slots of each of the two base joints connected by that second connector.
LONG SYNTHETIC RESIN FOAM BODY
A long synthetic resin foam body composed of a thermoplastic resin expanded beads-molded substrate and a frame having displacement regulating sections provided at both ends in the longitudinal or lateral direction of the substrate and a connecting section that connects the displacement regulating sections to each other. The substrate has at least one joint forming portion that divides the substrate in a direction intersecting the connecting section into two or more substrate parts. The joint forming portion has a joint that connects the adjacent two substrate parts to each other and is deformable to permit a relative displacement between the adjacent two substrate parts when the substrate contracts or expands.
PROCESS FOR THE REALIZATION OF DOOR AND WINDOW FRAMES MADE OF PLASTIC MATERIAL
The process for the realization of door and window frames made of plastic material comprises: a step of providing a profiled element (1) made of plastic material for the realization of door and window frames; a step of providing a reinforcing element (8) made of metal material, the profiled element (1) having a containment seat (6) of the reinforcing element (8); a step of inserting the reinforcing element (8) inside the containment seat (6); a step of fixing the reinforcing element (8) to the profiled element (1) by means of fixing means (9) between at least a portion of the profiled element (10) and at least a portion of the reinforcing element (11);
wherein the fixing step comprises a heating step of the portion of the reinforcing element (11) by means of electromagnetic induction means (12), the fixing means (9) being adapted to cooperate with at least one of the portion of the profiled element (10) and the heated portion of the reinforcing element (11) for the fixing of the portion of the reinforcing element (11) to the portion of the profiled element (10).
Membrane Cartridge and Membrane Cartridge Manufacturing Method
A membrane cartridge including: a filtration membrane (2); and a support plate (3). The support plate (3) includes a reference surface, a first joint portion (32) protruding from the reference surface, and a second joint portion (33) retreated from the reference surface, the second joint portion (33) is provided closer to an outer edge (35) of the support plate (3) than the first joint portion (32) is, at least a portion of an outer edge portion (21) of the filtration membrane (2) is joined to the support plate (3) at the second joint portion (33), and a portion of the filtration membrane (2) inward of the outer edge portion (21) is joined to the support plate (3) at the first joint portion (32).
Encapsulated glass frame assemblies and associated methods for forming same
An encapsulated glass assembly includes a glass panel and a plastic frame and a clip. The frame has at least three frame sides and has a lower wall portion extending from an outer wall surface along each of the at least three frame sides. The clip has a C-shaped clip channel and is coupled to a first frame side of the frame such that a portion of the panel is retained within the C-shaped clip channel. An optional clip can be coupled to a second frame side. The plastic frame can alternatively include a C-shaped channel on the second frame side, wherein another portion of the panel is retained within the C-shaped channel. An encapsulant is bonded onto the panel, the frame, and the clip to secure the frame to the panel. The encapsulant has a Shore hardness less than the Shore hardness of the frame.
Device and method for producing an edging of a flat extended panel
A device for producing an edging of a flat extended panel has: a molding tool; a material dispenser which is movable in relation to the molding tool, for dispensing a material for the edging, wherein the molding tool has: a first mold body having a holding region for the panel; a second mold body having a holding region for the panel such that the panel is capable of being held by the first mold body and by the second mold body; a third mold body which with the first mold body shares a common contact region, wherein the first mold body, the second mold body, and the third mold body are configured such that they conjointly with the panel surround a space in which the edging is configurable; an access duct to the space, the former being configured between the second mold body and the third mold body.
Methods of joining
Methods of joining members, forming molded portions with members, securing inserts with members, and joined members, such as for a frame or a frame for a fenestration unit, formed thereby, are disclosed. One embodiment of the method includes placing a first member with a first cavity in a joining position, placing a second member proximate the first cavity of the first member in the joining position, injecting a resin into the first cavity, allowing the resin to solidify at least partially to join the first member and second member to form a joined member, and removing the joined member from the joining position. Optionally, the joined member can be formed in a fixture, can include molded portions formed by the resin, and/or can include inserts held in place by the resin.
