Extruder system and method for extruding cord-reinforced tire components
The invention relates to an extruder system and a method for extruding cord reinforced extrudate, in particular for tire components, wherein the extruder system comprises an extruder head with flow channels for receiving an extrusion material from an extruder, a die for receiving said extrusion material from the flow channels and a cord guide for guiding cords side-by-side in a cord plane into the die, wherein the extruder head is provided with an insertion slot that extends in an insertion direction parallel to the cord plane through the extruder head, wherein the flow channels debouch into the insertion slot at a flow area, wherein the insertion slot is arranged for receiving the die and the cord guide in the insertion direction into a die position downstream of the flow area and a cord guide position upstream of the flow area, respectively, with respect to the insertion direction.
Tire maintenance means
A tire maintenance means (1) is provided, which includes a monitoring module (2) for monitoring the status of a tire; an inflating module (4) for inflating or deflating the tire; a repairing module (5) for filling a sealant to the tire; a control module (3) for maintaining the tire based on a signal from the monitoring module (2). A method of maintaining a tire is also provided.
Inflatable device repair kit
An inflatable device repair kit may include an openable repair packet having a patch surface, a sandpaper surface and a packet interior between the patch surface and the sandpaper surface. At least one tube repair patch may be detachably adhered to the patch surface of the repair packet. An abrasive sanding texture may be provided on the sandpaper surface of the repair packet. A patch cement may be provided in the packet interior of the repair packet. The abrasive sanding texture on the repair packet may be used to smoothen an exterior surface on an inflatable device wall of an inflatable device at a break in the inflatable device wall. The repair packet may be opened and the patch cement in the packet interior applied to the tube repair patch and the tube repair patch applied to the inflatable device wall over the break to seal the break.
Sensing sealant liquid container and inflatable article repair kit comprising the same
A sensing sealant liquid container for repairing an inflatable article, preferably a tyre, comprises a first portion produced by injection moulding and a second portion produced by injection moulding, the first and the second portion being connected to each other to delimit a volume inside which a sealant liquid is retained, an outlet tube for the sealant liquid when the container is pressurized and a sensor for verifying the functional connection of the tube to the inflatable article, and at least one track electrically connected to the sensor and co-moulded on one of the first and the second portion, the track defining a contact releasable electrical connection.
Welding method
A method for welding a first hose end at a joint with a second hose end in a seam that extends on a circumference of the first hose end, the method comprising the steps: applying a protective layer at the joint to an inside of the first hose end; pushing the second hose end beyond the joint over the first hose end; pressing the first hose end and the second hose end together flat at the joint between two first damping jaws that are moved towards each other; welding the first hose end and the second hose end together by two first partial seams while pressed together, wherein the protective layer prevents a welding of the inside of the first hose end; releasing the first hose end and the second hose end from the two first clamping jaws after welding the two first partial seams.
PYROLYSIS METHOD AND REACTOR FOR RECOVERING SILICA FROM POLYMER WASTE MATERIAL
A pyrolysis method and a pyrolysis reactor for recovering silica from a polymer waste material containing silica, particularly a rubber or plastics waste material containing silica, using thermal decomposition for separating silica from at least one non-silica component of the polymer waste material, are disclosed. The waste material is delivered to a pyrolytic chamber, and heated to a decomposition temperature of at least one non-silica component of the waste materiel by microwave radiation. The decomposition temperature is selected such that the at least one non-silica component includes a higher microwave absorptivity than silica.
