Flexible material for flexible package
A flexible, stackable, recloseable container for storing a quantity of products comprising a plurality of walls defined by a first sheet and a second sheet attached to at least a portion of the first sheet. The second sheet extends over at least three of the walls. The opposing container walls each have a sealed portion and one or more tucks, the tucks comprising a portion of the first sheet tucked toward the interior volume. A portion of the second sheet defines a recloseable feature located over an opening for reclosing the container. The second sheet includes a line of reduced strength at or adjacent at least a boundary adjacent the tucks and disposed between the opposing container walls each having the sealed portion and an adjacent container wall. The second sheet can include a hinge about which the recloseable feature pivots from closed position to open position.

Polymeric films and bags
The present invention is directed to a method of incrementally stretching polymeric film formed from a blown film extrusion process. The present invention is further directed to a polymeric bag formed from an incrementally stretched polymeric film. The incremental stretching is performed on a collapsed polymeric bubble via a pair of intermeshing rollers. The incrementally stretched polymeric film may be stretched only along a portion of its width. The polymeric bag may be a drawstring trash bag with an extended hem where only the extended hem of the bag or the body of the bag comprises incrementally stretched polymeric film.
BAG SUITABLE FOR PACKAGING HORTICULTURAL PRODUCTS AND A METHOD AND MEANS FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
A breathable bag (1) especially suitable for packaging horticultural products (2) comprising a mesh casing (3), which is capable of housing the products to be packaged and at least one first band (5) of flexible material applied on the outside of and joined to the casing by affixed areas (6, 7) affixed to said casing, the first band covering a region (8) of the casing that has a hole (9), the practical access to the hole (9) being prevented by the affixed joining areas (6, 7) between the first band (5) and the casing (3), and the first band (5) being equipped with at least one tear line (10) that determines in the first band (5) a removable portion (5c) from the casing (3) that is sufficient to leave uncovered or to open a practical access to said opening (9).

Apparatus and method for applying cover sheets to ends, preformed into cross bottoms, of tube portions
A device and a method for applying cover sheets to cross-bottoms of tubular sections made of a plastic material. The device includes conveyor devices for transporting the tubular sections and for depositing the cover sheets on the cross-bottoms in a deposit area. The device includes a hot gas device with a gas heater and a nozzle connected to the gas heater and oriented toward the deposit area for the cover sheets so when gas is supplied to the gas heater, the gas flows along a flow path from the gas supply through the gas heater and the nozzle into the deposit area. The hot gas device has a hot gas reservoir with an internal volume for the temporary storage of hot gas, the flow path running through the hot gas reservoir. A gas mass flow ({dot over (m)}1, {dot over (m)}2, {dot over (m)}ges) of gas supplied to the gas heater is adjustable by a control.
Embossed paper in combination with paper cushioning for shipping envelopes
According to some illustrative embodiments, a protective product is provided that includes: at least one expandable slit paper sheet, said at least on expandable slit paper being expanded between opposing ends of said slit paper; a first embossed paper sheet facing said expanded slit paper sheet and a second paper sheet facing an opposite side of said at least one expanded slit paper sheet, at least one of said first embossed paper sheet and said second paper sheet being fixed to said expanded slit paper sheet at the opposing ends of said expanded slit paper sheet and thereby maintaining said expanded paper in its expanded state, said first embossed paper sheet having a plurality of embossings that increase the rigidity of said embossed paper sheet, whereby inhibiting deformation of said embossed paper sheet that is fixed to said expanded slit sheet paper.
FILMS AND BAGS WITH VISUALLY DISTINCT REGIONS
One or more implementations of a multi-layer film include a first layer non-continuously bonded to a second pigmented layer. The multi-layer film includes an unexpected appearance differing from the appearance of the pigmented layer. In one or more embodiments, the multi-layer film includes a metallic appearance despite the pigmented layer being devoid of metallic pigment. The multi-layer film also includes areas that are visually distinct from areas of the film with the unexpected appearance. The visually-distinct areas comprise areas in which the first layer non-continuously is in intimate contact with the second pigmented layer. The visually-distinct areas have the appearance of the pigmented layer or another appearance. One or more implementations also include methods of making multi-layer films and bags with an unexpected appearance and visually-distinct areas.
Manufacturing method and manufacturing apparatus for pouch container
A plurality of pouch containers are continuously manufactured from materials including: a plurality of separate-type tubular film members each including a portion to be formed as a barrel portion; and a single first belt-shaped film member and a single second belt-shaped film member each including a plurality of portions each to be formed as a gusset portion. The step of closing an opening end of each of the separate-type tubular film members includes: supplying the belt-shaped film member to the opening end by conveying the belt-shaped film member in parallel with the separate-type tubular film members at the same speed as a conveyance speed of the separate-type tubular film members, to cause the belt-shaped film member to overlap with an opened joining margin of each of the separate-type tubular film members; and joining the joining margin to a portion of the belt-shaped film member that overlaps with the joining margin.
Leak proof container with adhesive attachment
A leak proof container and a method of forming the container from a blank. The blank includes a bottom panel, first and second side panels connected to the bottom panel at opposing lateral edges, and first and second end portions located at opposing longitudinal ends of the blank. Each end portion includes an inner end panel connected to the bottom panel, an outer end panel connected to the inner end panel, and first and second corner panels forming gussets connected to a respective one of the first and second side panels and connected to the inner end panel. An adhesive area is located on one side of the blank and comprises at least a portion on each of the outer end panel and the inner end panel. The adhesive area adheres the gussets to the inner end panel and to the outer end panel.
