Insulative container
An insulated sleeve is provided to be coupled to an outer surface of a cup. The sleeve is formed from an insulative cellular non-aromatic polymeric material having an area of plastic deformation. There are no fractures in the insulative cellular non-aromatic polymeric material so that a predetermined insulative characteristic is maintained in the material.
Package definition system with non-symmetric functional elements as a function of package edge property
A package generation system creates a package definition file for creation of a package flat. The file includes dimensions for cut lines along which the package will be separated from a two dimensional substrate. The flat includes facets and functional elements that connect the facets. The system will identify a pair of the functional elements that have a connecting relationship. The first facet of the pair is a tab structure having a symmetric design, and the second facet of the pair is a receiving structure. If the tab structure and receiving structure are connected to cut lines that intersect at a pivot point, the system will convert the definition of the tab structure from the symmetric design to a non-symmetric design. It will save dimensions for the edges and functional elements in the package design file with the non-symmetric design.
FOLDER-GLUER
In a folder-gluer, push-out forces by an air cylinder and a push-out spring mechanism are set such that: (1) when downstream portions of first and fourth panels are passing through a second bending plate, the second bending plate is pushed outwardly in a width direction by the push-out forces to extend the downstream portions of the first and fourth panels in the width direction; and (2) when upstream portions of the first and fourth panels are passing through the second bending plate, the second bending plate is pushed back inwardly in the width direction by the resistance force applied to the second bending plate by the first and fourth panels so as not to extend the upstream portions in the width direction, and wherein the push-out forces are not varied by a control while the first and fourth panels are passing through the second bending plate.
Method of aligning an upper and a lower changeable tool, and device for processing workpiece sheets
In a method of aligning an upper and a lower changeable tool (2, 10, 18) in a device for processing, e.g., sheets of paper, provision is made that with the aid of at least one digital camera (50, 51), the upper changeable tool (2) is aligned with a sheet that has been moved in and the lower changeable tool (18) is aligned relative to the upper changeable tool (2) after the sheet has been moved out.
BOX FORMING MACHINE FOR FORMING BOXES OF DIFFERENT SHAPES AND SIZES
The present invention relates to a box forming machine for forming boxes of different shapes and sizes, comprising a forming station including an operating space, demarcated by upper and lower devices and receiving a box during the forming thereof, without horizontal movement of said box; flexible, pressurizable, and heatable glue conduits connected to a plurality of glue application nozzles, configured for being positioned in different positions consistent with the size of the box to be formed, and at least one electrically-operated valve configured for applying said hot glue in respective relative positions of said glue application nozzles with respect to the box, according to operative parameters associated with the dimensions of the box to be formed, including dimensions of upper and lower flaps of said box and at least one working temperature of a hot glue to be applied previously input in a user interface connected to a control device.
CONTROL METHOD FOR TRANSVERSE TO LONGITUDINAL CREASE STIFFNESS RATIO
Disclosed is a control method for a transverse to longitudinal crease stiffness ratio, belonging to the packaging field. The transverse to longitudinal crease stiffness ratio represents the ratio of a transverse crease stiffness to a longitudinal crease stiffness, and the transverse to longitudinal crease stiffness ratio is controlled to be ≤1.25. The control method of the transverse to longitudinal crease stiffness ratio in the present invention enables to control the transverse to longitudinal crease stiffness ratio within a certain range by adjusting the height of a die-cutter or adjusting the width of a bottom die.
PROCESS FOR FORMING PLASTIC CORRUGATED CONTAINER AND INTERMEDIARY BLANK
A corrugated plastic box and a method for manufacturing a corrugated plastic box from a blank are provided. The method includes the steps of forming rounded edge seals on the perimeter edges of the blank, pre-sealing portions of the blank to form a plurality of areas in which major and minor flap slots and a glue tab are desired, ultrasonically scoring the blank to form a plurality of flap score lines, and cutting the blank through the plurality of pre-sealed flap slots and glue tab, leaving a sealed edge.
END FLAP ENGAGEMENT ASSEMBLY FOR ERECTING CARTONS AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A method of at least partially erecting a carton with a carton forming system includes loading a blank in a blank infeed assembly, the blank having a plurality of panels and a plurality of end flaps foldably connected to a respective panel of the plurality of panels. The method further includes positioning the blank on at least one conveyor assembly, operating the at least one conveyor assembly to move the blank in a downstream direction of the system toward a carton erection assembly, the carton erection assembly including an end flap engagement assembly positioned adjacent the at least one conveyor assembly, and rotating the end flap engagement assembly such that a portion of the end flap engagement assembly contacts and moves at least one end flap of the plurality of end flaps of the blank as the blank moves in the downstream direction.
Heat-assisted carton formation
A method of at least partially forming a carton includes obtaining a blank comprising at least one fold line, heating an interior surface of the blank along the at least one fold line to form a heated fold line, and folding the blank about the heated fold line.
CARTONING APPARATUS
The invention relates to a cartoning apparatus (1) of items comprising: a die-cut magazine (125), in which a plurality of die-cuts (5) are stored for packaging the items, and a die-cut (170) pick-up and manipulating machine, configured to pick up the die-cuts (5) from the die-cut (125) magazine and manipulate them so as to open each die-cut (5). Where the die-cut (170) pick-up and manipulating machine comprises a robotic arm (180) on which a die-cut (175) gripping and manipulating module is installed, configured to grip one die-cut (5) at a time directly from the pick-up area (135) of the die-cut (125) magazine and manipulate it in order to open it.
