BOX BLANK
A box blank useful for forming a container includes a first layer including paperboard, a second layer including a paper layer and a foil layer, and an adhesive layer adhering the first layer to the second layer. The foil layer is between the paperboard and the paper layer.
Stackable container
A container for receiving foodstuff or dried beverages comprising a surrounding container wall, an upper container opening and a bottom part opposite to the container opening and connected to a lower end section of the container wall, wherein the bottom part includes an essentially flat bottom section and an abutment flange which protrudes at least in some locations from the bottom section in the direction of the container opening, and the lower end section of the container wall includes a support ring protruding radially inwards from the end section. The bottom part and the lower end section is connected between the abutment flange, an inner side of the container wall, and between the lower side of the bottom section and an upper side of the support ring.
PAPER-BASED COMPOSITE CONTAINER FOR OFF-GASSING PRODUCTS, AND METHOD FOR MAKING SAME
A substantially paper-based composite container for an off-gassing product includes a paperboard can body having a substantially gas-impervious liner attached to an inner surface thereof, and a pair of substantially paper-based end closures attached to the opposite ends of the can body, each end closure defining a generally cylindrical sealing panel in contact with an inner surface of the can body. Heat-sealable materials are disposed on opposing surfaces of the sealing panel and can body. The sealing panels of the end closures are attached to the can body by heat seals. The heat seal for at least one of the end closures is discontinuous such that at least one vent channel extends through the heat seal so as to establish fluid communication between an interior of the composite container and the environment outside the composite container. The at least one vent channel is operable to vent excess gas pressure from the interior of the container.
BULK BIN, BULK BIN SLEEVE PACK, AND RELATED METHOD
A sleeve pack for forming a bulk bin includes a base for forming a bottom of the bulk bin and a perimeter wall assembly. The perimeter wall assembly includes two blanks that can be connected to one another at interlocking connections to form a perimeter wall of the bulk bin. Locking tabs are associated with at least one of the wall blanks, and corresponding locking openings are associated with at least one other of the wall blanks. The openings oppose the tabs and the tabs are lockingly inserted into the openings to secure the wall members together to form the perimeter wall of the bulk bin.
APPARATUS, KIT AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY OF A COLLAPSIBLE BULK MATERIAL CONTAINER
A collapsible bulk material container apparatus, kit and method of assembly employ a forming member having a plurality of interconnected sidewalls, a locking mechanism that fixedly orients the sidewalls continuously about an internal bulk material receiving cavity, and a tubular open-ended woven fabric sleeve that supportively overlies the sidewalls. A connector system rapidly engageable during container assembly, fixedly secures the support sleeve of an unloaded container against subsequent upward movement along the sidewalls. Strategically located friction reducing surfaces of the forming member facilitates sliding assembly of the sleeve over the forming member sidewalls.
Container and method for making and filling the same
A method of making a container having a separable inner lining and outer shell comprises the steps of: forming an outer shell having a base, a sidewall and a rim surrounding an opening of the shell; preforming a flexible lining, at least a part of the lining conforming to a complete internal shape of the shell; inserting the pre-formed lining into the shell so that a first part of the lining is within the shell and a second part of the lining protrudes from the opening of the shell; adhering the first part to an internal surface of the shell; conforming the second part to an external surface of the shell; and attaching to the lining around said rim a sealing layer covering the opening, the sealing layer being peelable from the lining such that the lining remains intact, and the adhesion between the lining and the internal surface of the shell being such that the lining is peelable from the shell while remaining intact.
Container With Microwave Interactive Web
A container that includes a microwave interactive web at least partially overlying and joined to a three-dimensional support, wherein the three-dimensional support may be formed prior to having the microwave interactive web mounted thereto. The three-dimensional support may be a preformed container that is sufficiently rigid and dimensionally stable for use in containing food.
Container and method for making the same
A method of making a container (2, 30) having a separable inner lining (6) and outer shell (4) comprises the steps of: forming an outer shell; pre-forming a flexible lining, at least a part of the lining conforming to a complete internal shape of the shell; inserting the preformed lining into the shell so that a first part of the lining is within the shell and a second part of the lining protrudes from the opening of the shell; adhering the first part to an internal surface (8) of the shell; conforming the second part to an external surface of the shell; and attaching to the lining around said rim a sealing layer covering the opening, and the adhesion between the lining and the internal surface of the shell being such that the lining is peelable from the shell while remaining intact.
Method for producing packaging blanks for consumer goods
Method for producing a plurality of blanks from a continuous strip of material. Firstly, a continuous strip of material (101) is provided, the strip having a plurality of cut-outs (103) spaced along a longitudinal direction thereof. Then, the continuous strip is cut along a plurality of cut lines (203) to form the plurality of blanks (301), each cut line comprising a straight transverse section and a curved section. Each cut line intersects a respective cut-out in the strip in the curved section of the cut line. Each cut line, together with its respective intersected cut-out, corresponds to an edge (303, 305) of at least one of the plurality of blanks. There is also provided a blank (301) formed by the method and a container (400) for consumer goods, the container comprising an inner frame (301) formed from a blank formed according by the method.
METHOD TO FORM A STACKING SHOULDER INTO THE SIDEWALL OF A CUP WITH A ROTATING TOOL
The present invention relates to a method for the production of a container having a bottom and a first sidewall attached to the bottom, wherein a stacking shoulder is formed into the first sidewall by means of a form tool and a mandrel, wherein the form tool reciprocates along its center axis from a remote position to a forming position.
