Bag making apparatus
Provided is a bag making apparatus with a simple configuration that: prevents fluctuations in tension, slippage of seal positions, and meandering or skewing of a web of film; allows the setting of precise initial conditions; reduces or makes unnecessary monitoring, and time and structures for adjustment; allows increased feed rate; and improves production efficiency. The bag making apparatus for packaging containers comprises: a tension control unit for controlling the continuous feed rate according to the values detected by a tension sensor of a tension detection roll; an optical detection unit for simultaneously recognizing multiple marks provided on the surface of the web of film at the respective positions thereof; a skewing correction unit; and a seal position correction unit for adjusting the positions of multiple sealing units in the feed direction.
MULTI-COMPARTMENT FLEXIBLE PACKAGE
A flexible package having multiple compartments is described and depicted. The package can include an internal compartment panel to define first and second package cavities or compartments. Two adjacent but opposing access openings can be provided proximate a top portion of the package to define separate access into the distinct compartments, without a need to open or remove the top or handle portion of the package.
PLANT FOR MANUFACTURING BAGS FROM TWO LAYERS OF PLASTIC FILM, METHOD FOR OPERATING SUCH A PLANT AND BAG
An installation for producing bags from two-layer plastic film includes a film gripper for drawing the plastic film into a tool at a first station, and a rotary conveyor belt for conveying the film through a plurality of stations. The film gripper is designed to guide the plastic film through the first station to a second station.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PACKAGING FOR POUCH CONTAINER, AND DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING PACKAGING FOR POUCH CONTAINER
A method for manufacturing a pouch-type packaging material includes: a first folding process; a first cutting process of cutting the top-side sheet material, a second sub-region, a first main region, and a first sub-region along a first cutting line that extends from a portion where the top-side sheet material and the second sub-region overlap to a portion closer toward a bottom side in a z direction beyond a first boundary line; a second folding process; a second cutting process of cutting the top-side sheet material, the first sub-region, the first main region, and a second main region along a second cutting line to form a top-side sheet from the top-side sheet material, where the second cutting line extends from a portion where the top-side sheet material and the first sub-region overlap to a portion closer toward the bottom side in the z direction beyond the second boundary line.
EASY OPEN BAG
A shipping bag or sack having side gussets, an easy open double fold, and tightly sealed stepped ends is described that withstands internally forces at the easy open end during drop tests. The side gussets include a stepped feature that may be incorporated into polywoven, thermoplastic and paper bags. The bags further include a two step fold and seal process.
PACKAGING BAG ON A PAPER BASIS, AS WELL AS METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A PACKAGING BAG
A packaging bag has a bag body on a paper basis, which has front walls that lie opposite one another, side walls arranged between the front walls, and longitudinal edges that connect the front walls with the side walls. A material section that forms the assigned front wall and a material section that forms the assigned side wall, are connected with one another on the longitudinal edges to form a reinforcement fold that runs in the longitudinal direction, by way of a fixation layer that borders on each longitudinal edge. The fixation layer assigned to at least one of the reinforcement folds is an adhesive layer, wherein regions of the bag body between the reinforcement folds are free of an adhesive layer.
METHOD FOR SIMULTANEOUS PRODUCTION OF MULTIPLE POUCHES WITH TRANSVERSE DIRECTION RECLOSURE
The present disclosure relates to the simultaneous manufacture of reclosable packages or pouches by application of a closure or reclosure onto a package web or film in the transverse direction. The web or film is folded along a machine-direction centerline so that one half of the web or film overlies, or is coextensively aligned with, the other half of the web or film. Heat seals and slits are formed in the machine direction, thereby forming the side seals of the plurality of reclosable packages or pouches.
BOTTOM FOLD BAG AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
Bags for containing various retail items, such as food items, and methods of forming the same. In some aspects, a bag having a top and bottom is provided. The bags can include a first layer and a second layer opposite the first layer and uniformly extending from the first layer. In some aspects, the bag can further include a first side seam between a side of the first layer and an opposing side of the second layer and a second side seam between a side of the second layer and an opposing side of the second layer. The first layer and the second layer each have an un-folded edge substantially parallel to the bottom fold. In some aspects, the bags include a bottom V-shaped fold extending along a transverse axis relative to the first side seam and the second side seam, the bottom V-shaped fold forming a seamless bottom.
Method For Lubricating Pressure Relief Valves
A method for applying a lubricant to a pressure relief valve during the process of applying the pressure relief valve to packaging. The method includes temporarily separating layers of the valve with a vacuum applicator when the lubricant is applied. A pressurized nozzle sprays or atomizes the lubricant into the valve opening. Graphite suspended in liquid silicone is used as the lubricant; it is recirculated in a reservoir to keep the graphite in suspension. Optical sensors check for valves before the entrance to, and after exit from, the vacuum applicator.
Flexible stackable package
A flexible, stackable, reclosable container for storing a quantity of products comprising a plurality of walls defined by a first sheet and a second sheet attached to at least a portion of the first sheet. The second sheet extends over at least three of the walls. The opposing container walls each have a sealed portion and one or more tucks, the tucks comprising a portion of the first sheet tucked toward the interior volume. A portion of the second sheet defines a reclosable feature located over an opening for reclosing the container. The second sheet includes a line of reduced strength at or adjacent at least a boundary adjacent the tucks and disposed between the opposing container walls each having the sealed portion and an adjacent container wall. The second sheet can include a hinge about which the reclosable feature pivots from closed position to open position.
