VOID FILL PACKAGING PRODUCT AND METHODS FOR MAKING
Briefly described, embodiments of the presently disclosed subject matter relate to void fill packaging products and one or more methods for making the void fill packaging products. The void fill packaging product is configured to cushion items for transport whether that be shipping long distances, local delivery, or self-transport in a vehicle. Specifically, in one aspect, a void fill product for packaging, may include a single spiraled continuous paper sheet surrounding a hollow center and forming at least two layers that overlap in a first direction. The portions of the at least two layers may overlap and may be mechanically joined in a second direction that is approximately perpendicular to the first direction.
Method for producing a sandwich panel with an integrated reinforcing structure
A Sandwich panel with a core structure, in particular with a honeycomb-shaped core structure, and plane-parallel cover layers applied to both sides of this core structure, to form a floor surface in a fuselage airframe of an aircraft, the core structure having at least one recess into which at least one reinforcing structure is integrated, wherein the at least one reinforcing structure is formed with at least one core, said core having at least one recess into which a stopper is introduced, into which at least one attachment element can be introduced to attach at least one further component to the sandwich panel, and a plurality of prepreg strips which each have a uniform fiber running direction being wound around the core. In addition, the invention relates to a method for the production of a sandwich panel according to the invention.
COMPOSITE CONTAINER WITH SEPARATOR FOR FORMING MULTIPLE COMPARTMENTS
A composite container is provided for holding one or more products (e.g., snack foods, toys, etc.) in separate compartments within the same container. The container includes a tubular body defining a first end and a second end, and the tubular body extends radially inward at a predefined location between the first and second ends to form a ledge. A separator, such as a paperboard or plastic disk, can be placed on the ledge, such that the separator defines a first compartment on one side of the separator and a second compartment on the other side of the separator. In this way, a product can be stored in the first compartment, and a product can be stored in the second compartment, and the user can have access to both in the same container. Associated methods of manufacturing a composite container with multiple compartments are also provided.
Methods for manufacturing a paint roller and component parts thereof with composite cover material
Described are methods of making a paint roller using thermoplastic strip material, adhesive and a composite cover material. The materials can be assembled in a continuous manufacturing process by helically winding a strip comprising polypropylene around a mandrel so as to form a helically wound strip, advancing the wound strip along the mandrel, applying a molten layer of adhesive comprising polypropylene onto the outer surface of the wound strip, wrapping a strip of composite cover material about the wound strip and over the layer of adhesive, and allowing the adhesive to cool, thereby laminating the composite cover material with the outer surface of the wound strip.
Internal Spraying of Paper Product Cores
An apparatus for producing tubes comprises a mandrel, a winding unit, and a fluid dispensing unit. The tube is formed as the winding unit winds at least one strip of web material around the mandrel and advances the tube along the mandrel toward a distal end of the mandrel. The fluid dispensing unit is disposed at the distal end of the mandrel and is configured to dispense a fluid to the inner surface of the tube as it advances past the distal end of the mandrel.
