DECORATIVE LAMINATES WITH CORE LAYER SUBJECTED TO SODIUM ALGINATE TREATMENT
A decorative laminate is manufactured in accordance with the method comprising preparing a decorative layer composed of a resin impregnated decorative sheet and preparing a core layer including an upper core sheet and a lowermost core sheet. The upper core sheet is prepared by impregnating a first paper with a resin. The lowermost core sheet is prepared by treating a second paper with sodium alginate to produce a sodium alginate treated paper and then impregnating the sodium alginate treated paper with resin. The decorative layer and the core layer are stacked. The decorative layer and the core layer are consolidated under heat and pressure to form the decorative laminate.
Pallet having panels and tube segments
The invention relates to a pallet (1), comprising a basic body (10) with a first panel (11), a second panel (12) and a layer (13) having a plurality of tube segments (14) which is arranged between the panels (11, 12), wherein the layer (13) has at least one cutout (131) which is continuous in the direction of a pallet height (HP), and wherein the first panel (11) has at least one first opening (111) which at least partially overlaps with the at least one cutout (131). The invention further relates to a foot (16) and a runner (17) for a pallet (1), to a sandwich block (2) for producing a layer (13) of a pallet (1), and to a method for producing a pallet (1).
Spent Coffee Grounds-Infused Weed Barrier Mat and Method of Manufacturing Thereof
A novel spent coffee grounds (SPG)-infused weed barrier mat and a method of manufacturing the novel mat are disclosed. Compared to conventional methods of weed growth inhibitions using chemicals or paper mulches, the SPG-infused weed barrier mat is more durable, hydro-absorbent, and easily-divisible to protect and promote a garden's aesthetics, soil quality, and ecosystem, while acting as an effective smothering barrier against weed growth. Preferably, the SPG-infused weed barrier mat is formed by a plurality of detachable single modular mat units of standardized dimensions to accommodate dynamic and scalable sizing of the effective weed barrier mat area based on a user's particular gardening needs and requirements. Each single modular mat unit can be attached to or detached from each other to constitute a tiled arrangement of varying sizes. The SPG may be finely-milled coffee flours further processed from coarser SCGs for enhanced durability and maintenance of weed barrier mat-producing equipment.
Venting liner and method
A venting liner is connectable in fluid communication between a closure and an interior of a device for venting gas from the interior into the ambient atmosphere. The venting liner has a first fluid impervious and gas permeable outer layer, a second relatively rigid and substantially incompressible outer layer defining an open cell structure, and an inner foam layer defining an inner surface and an outer surface, a plurality of fluid-flow apertures spaced relative to each other, extending between the inner and outer surfaces, and forming substantially vertical fluid-flow paths through the inner layer. The first outer layer is in fluid communication with the interior of the device for venting gas through the interior of the first outer layer, substantially vertically through the apertures and, in turn, through the interior open cell structure of the second outer layer and into the ambient atmosphere.
DEVICE FOR PROVIDING A THREE-DIMENSIONAL CUSHIONING MATERIAL FOR CUSHIONING AN EMPTY VOLUME IN A TRANSPORT CONTAINER
The invention relates to a device for providing a three-dimensional cushioning material for cushioning an void volume in a transport container, comprising a converting apparatus for converting a flat web-like starting material into the three-dimensional cushioning material and a receiving means for receiving at least regions of a stack of the web-like starting material folded in a zigzagging manner. The receiving means has a first lateral contact means for a first stack type, which has a first width (B1), and a second lateral contact means for a second stack type, which has a second width (B2), such that either a stack of the first stack type or a stack of the second stack type can be arranged in the receiving means in a centered manner relative to the same central axis
Duplex liners and methods of making and using same
A duplex liner for a shipping label. A method for making a liner for a shipping label comprises providing a first ply. The first is a clear plastic sheet. The method includes providing a second ply. The second ply comprises printable paper. The method comprises applying a copolymerized emulsion on an underside of the first ply, and using press rollers to press the first ply against the second ply to cause the copolymerized emulsion to fuse the first ply and the second ply.
Foldable palette blank
A method of forming a palette includes obtaining a foldable palette blank, the foldable palette blank including a working portion, the working portion defining a first working surface and a second working surface opposite from the first working surface, the working portion defining a working hand hole, the working portion defining a reservoir hole extending from the first working surface to the second working surface; and a support portion, the support portion defining a first support surface and a second support surface opposite from the first support surface, the support portion defining a support hand hole, the support portion configured to cover an end of the reservoir hole; positioning the working portion in facing contact with the support portion; aligning the working hand hole with the support hand hole; and covering the end of the reservoir hole with the support portion to form a reservoir.
