Tooling method for expanded slit sheet material

The present invention discloses a method of producing at least a pair of interlocking adjacent layers of a paper packaging product, the pair of interlocking adjacent layers being formed of a sheet of slit paper having a slit pattern, the slit pattern upon expansion, forming cells that include land regions that are inclined with respect to a plane of an unexpanded sheet. The method comprises slitting the sheet of slit paper with beveled blades that have a first wedge angle on one side of the blades and a second wedge angle on the other side of the blades, wherein the first wedge angle is wider than the second wedge angle to produce slits that upon expansion, produce the lands regions that have angles of inclination in a range for 50 to 85 degrees.

RFID tag manufacturing system

An RFID tag manufacturing system is provided that includes a conveyance device that conveys a base sheet provided with a plurality of antenna patterns to each of which an RFIC module is fixed. The system includes a laminating device that attaches a cover seal on the base sheet to cover the antenna patterns and a punching device that produces RFID tags by punching the cover seal and the base sheet with a punching blade that includes a frame-shaped cutting edge surrounding the antenna patterns to form a frame-shaped cut. The base sheet includes alignment mark in a non-attachment part of the cover seal. The punching device specifies the position of each of the antenna patterns covered with the cover seal based on the alignment mark, and punches the cover seal and the base sheet based on the specified position of the antenna pattern.

The present invention is directed to a method of incrementally stretching polymeric film formed from a blown film extrusion process. The present invention is further directed to a polymeric bag formed from an incrementally stretched polymeric film. The incremental stretching is performed on a collapsed polymeric bubble via a pair of intermeshing rollers. The incrementally stretched polymeric film may be stretched only along a portion of its width. The polymeric bag may be a drawstring trash bag with an extended hem where only the extended hem of the bag or the body of the bag comprises incrementally stretched polymeric film.

A defect detection device that detects the position of defective parts in a core paper. The device includes a slitter/scorer that cuts a continuous double-sided cardboard sheet along a transport direction. The device includes a cutoff that cuts off a plurality of continuous double-sided cardboard sheets along a width direction to a prescribed length, the continuous double-sided cardboard sheets having been cut to a prescribed width. The device includes a web director that distributes the plurality of continuous double-sided cardboard sheets to respective conveyance tables. The device includes a defective-product-eliminating device that eliminates plate-shaped double-sided cardboard sheets from a conveyance line. The device includes a control device that specifies the plate-shaped double-sided cardboard sheets having defective parts on the basis of the position of the defective parts and the width-direction cutting position on the continuous double-sided cardboard sheets, and operates the defective-product-eliminating device handling the plate-shaped double-sided cardboard sheets.

ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR CREATING FOLDERS AND FOLDER POCKETS FROM PRINTABLE BLANK SHEETS
20190126663 · 2019-05-02 ·

A printable blank sheet includes a sheet with a first layer and a second layer attached to a bottom side of the first layer. Slit-over-perforation lines extend through the sheet. The slit-over-perforation lines include cuts running through the first layer, and perforations running through the second layer. A folder pocket is cut into the sheet with a periphery of the folder pocket defined by the slit-over-perforation lines.

Method and device for producing partially embossed blanks

A method for producing partially embossed blanks is disclosed. The method is to provide a continuous web of an embossable material, and guide it between two cylinders which emboss its surface. The embossed web is fed to a stamping device to punch blanks from the web. One of the embossing cylinders has a marking which is readable by a first sensor. The first sensor reads the position of the marking and produces a signal which triggers a printing device to produce a print mark on the web identifying the position of the embossing. The print mark is read by a second sensor which produces a signal for controlling and adjusting a feeding distance by which feed rolls supply the web to the stamping device that punches blanks from the web in register with the partial embossing of the blank. A device for conducting the method is also disclosed.

Method and unit for making sections of padding for absorbent sanitary articles

In a unit for making sections of padding for absorbent sanitary articles comprising a first rotary conveyor for feeding and forming a continuous succession of outer pads, comprising at least one layer, a second rotary conveyor for feeding and forming a continuous succession of inner pads comprising two layers, a third rotary conveyor for the pads defining a position for superposing the outer pads and the inner pads, there are compressing means for the two-layer inner pads upstream of the superposing position and second compressing means for the superposed pads downstream of the superposing position.

A dunnage conversion apparatus for dispensing a cushioning wrap material from a roll of expandable slit sheet material is described. The roll of expandable slit sheet material includes an expandable slit sheet material in an unexpanded state. The expandable slit sheet material is pulled from the roll of expandable slit sheet material and expanded to a pre-expanded state and an expanded state. To expand the expandable slit sheet material and form the cushioning wrap material, a stretching force is applied to the expandable slit sheet material in a stretching direction as it is pulled from the roll of expandable slit sheet material. Accordingly, the dunnage conversion apparatus includes a tensioning device for assisting in the application of such stretching force.
