Refrigerant-transporting hose
A refrigerant-transporting hose including an inner tube, an outer tube, and a reinforcing layer between the inner tube and the outer tube, the outer tube being formed of an outer tube rubber composition, the outer tube rubber composition containing a brominated copolymer rubber obtained by brominating a copolymer rubber of isomonoolefin and p-alkylstyrene, the content of the repeating units having bromine constituting the brominated copolymer rubber being from 0.8 to 1.5 mol % with respect to the total amount of the repeating units constituting the brominated copolymer rubber, a carbon black A having a dibutyl phthalate absorption amount of 40 cm.sup.3/100 g or less, a brominated alkylphenol resin, and zinc oxide, the content of the carbon black A being 35 parts by mass or greater with respect to 100 parts by mass of the brominated copolymer rubber. Such refrigerant-transporting hose achieves both workability and sealing property at an excellent level.
OVERLAY SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF INSTALLING OVERLAY SYSTEMS
A method of installing a binder-based overlay system may include contacting a layer of geotextile fabric to a surface of a substrate and applying a primer layer to a surface of the geotextile fabric. Two or more binder layers including infill particles may be applied over the primer layer. A resurfacer layer followed by one or more color layers may be applied over the two or more binder layers. The primer layer, one or more binder layers, resurfacer layer, and two or more color layers may cure upon application to form a monolithic layer upon the substrate.
Washable Carpet Tile
This invention relates to tufted floorcovering articles that are washable in commercial, industrial, and/or residential washing machines. In particular, this invention relates to modular carpet tiles that are constructed in such a way as to withstand exposure to at least one wash cycle in an automatic washing machine. The carpet tiles are designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications such as entryway floorcovering articles. A further advantage includes the ability to print advertising logos on the carpet tiles and easily change out the advertising logos as desired. Both features of the carpet tile of the present invention are achievable, at least in part, because the surface of the tile that contacts the floor does not require any type of adhesive in order to use the carpet tile for its intended function.
Mechanical-metamaterial-based stretchable substrate with negative poisson's ratio and manufacturing method thereof
Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a stretchable substrate according to various embodiments of the present disclosure for realizing the above-described objectives. The method may include generating an auxetic including a plurality of unit structures and adhering one or more elastic sheets to one surface of the auxetic.
Incompressible moisture-scavenging article
Articles and insulating systems include a wicking layer, an incompressible insulation layer, and a water scavenging system comprising a superhydrophobic layer in operative communication with one or more water collecting components.
COVER BOARD WITH REINFORCING LAYER
A cover board and roofing system including a cover board are disclosed. In one embodiment, the cover board includes a core having a first surface and a second surface. The core is configured to overlie a roof substrate. The cover board includes at least one facer attached to the first surface, the second surface, or both the first surface and second surface of the core. The cover board includes a reinforcing layer positioned between the core and the at least one facer. The reinforcing layer may comprise a scrim material. An impact resistance of the cover board may be greater than an impact resistance of an identical cover board without the scrim material.
ADHESIVE FILM BASED TRANSPARENT LAMINATE
A transparent laminate having a haze of less than 10% measured according to ASTM D1003-13, wherein the laminate comprises: i) at least a first substrate, ii) at least a second substrate and iii) an adhesive film between the first and second substrate, wherein the adhesive film is a cured, transparent rubber film obtained by curing an adhesive composition comprising: a) at least 80% by weight of at least one polyisoprene rubber, b) 0.5 to 15% by weight of at least one organic compound comprising at least two vinyl groups and c) 0.01 to 10% by weight of at least one peroxide compound.
Multilayer polymer sheets
Multilayer polymer sheets are provided, as well as related methods, systems, and appliances.
Process For Manufacturing A Conveyor Belt
Methods of manufacturing a conveyor belt (126) include applying a rubber composition (114) to a first side of fabric reinforcement (112) and scattering productive thermoplastic elastomer pellets (106) onto a second side of the fabric reinforcement to produce an uncured belt structure (120). The uncured belt structure (120) is continuous fed into a double belt press (116) to press the productive thermoplastic elastomer pellets (106) together with the fabric reinforcement (112) to produce an uncured belt (128). Uncured belt (128) is then heated in the double belt press (116) to a temperature of at least 300° F. and maintained in the double belt press (116) under a pressure of at least 12 psi and a temperature of at least 300° C. for a residence time of at least 20 minutes to produce a cured conveyor belt (130), which is continuously withdrawn from the double belt press (116).
FUEL TANK
The present disclosure provides a fuel-impermeable structural unit for use as a structural element of a fuel tank, including a multi-plies structure made of one or more composite material and polymers, and, a sealing polymeric film structurally bonded to and coating the entire surface of at least one face of the multi-plied structure. The polymeric film is integrated with an underlying external layer of said multi-plies structure, is impermeable to the fuel, is not reactive with the fuel, and can bind to an adhesive for fixing one or more rigid elements thereto.
