Method for producing laminate

A method of producing a laminated body, the method including a coagulant solution deposition step of depositing a coagulant solution on a fiber substrate, and a coagulation step of forming a polymer layer on the fiber substrate by bringing a polymer latex into contact with the fiber substrate having the coagulant solution deposited thereon to cause a polymer to coagulate. As the coagulant solution, a solution obtained by dissolving or dispersing 0.2 to 7.0% by weight of a metal salt as a coagulant and 0.1 to 7.0% by weight of an organic acid in a solvent is used. In the method of producing a laminated body, the metal salt is a polyvalent metal salt. In the method of producing a laminated body, the organic acid is an organic acid having at least one group selected from a carboxyl group, a sulfo group, a hydroxy group, and a thiol group.

Process for bonding a textile material to an elastomer

The present invention relates to a process for adhering a textile material to an elastomer, the process comprising the steps of pretreating the textile material with at least one polyester of an α-β-unsaturated carboxylic acid, contacting the pretreated textile material with an unvulcanized elastomer, and vulcanizing the product obtained. The present invention additionally encompasses an elastomer article obtainable by this process and also the use of a polyester of an α-β-unsaturated carboxylic acid for improving the adhesion of a textile material to an elastomer.

A method is provided for forming an adhered membrane roof system that meets Factory Mutual (FM) 4470/4474 standards for wind uplift. The method comprises applying a bond adhesive to a substrate on a roof to form an adhesive layer and applying a membrane directly to the adhesive layer. The bond adhesive includes a moisture-curable polymer.

Methods for making multilayer dental aligners

A multilayer sheet comprising first and second layers is provided. The first layer consists of a co-polyester. The second layer consists of a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer having an elongation at break of greater than 200%, a hardness of 60A to 85D, an ultimate tensile strength of greater than about 5000 psi, and a light transmission between 400 nm and 800 nm of greater than about 75%. A mold is provided and the multilayer sheet is thermoformed over the mold to form a plurality of tooth-receiving cavities configured to receive and reposition a patient's teeth from a first arrangement toward a second arrangement. Excess material is trimmed from the thermoformed multilayer sheet to form a multilayer dental aligner.

Curative and method

A thermoset material containing β-hydroxyesters wherein said thermoset material is subject to a mechano-chemical process to regenerate an epoxide and a carboxylic acid functionality. A curative for epoxidized plant-based oils and epoxidized natural rubber is created from the reaction between a naturally occurring polyfunctional acid and an epoxidized plant-based oil is disclosed. The curative may be used to produce porosity-free castable resins and vulcanize rubber formulations based on epoxidized natural rubber. Materials made from disclosed materials may be advantageously used as leather substitutes.

Curative

A coating created entirely from plant-derived ingredients is disclosed. Illustrative embodiments of the coating may be particularly well suited for use on leather-like materials created from epoxidized natural rubber-based formulations. Illustrative embodiments of the coating created may be comprised of substantially the reaction product between epoxidized vegetable oil and a polyfunctional naturally occurring acid (such as citric acid). Illustrative embodiments this reaction product may be used to produce porosity-free castable resins and vulcanize rubber formulations based on epoxidized natural rubber. Materials made from disclosed materials may be advantageously used as leather substitutes.

A method of installing a binder-based overlay system may include contacting a layer of geotextile fabric to a surface of a substrate and applying a primer layer to a surface of the geotextile fabric. Two or more binder layers including infill particles may be applied over the primer layer. A resurfacer layer followed by one or more color layers may be applied over the two or more binder layers. The primer layer, one or more binder layers, resurfacer layer, and two or more color layers may cure upon application to form a monolithic layer upon the substrate.

Elastic Silicone Cotton Structure and Preparation Method Thereof
20210354428 · 2021-11-18 ·

Disclosed are an elastic silicone cotton structure and its preparation method. The elastic silicone cotton structure includes a cotton body, a silicone nest body and at least one glue layer. The silicone nest body is embedded into the cotton body and extended to a surface of the cotton body; the silicone layer is bonded to an upper surface and/or a lower surface of the cotton body. The novel elastic silicone cotton structure and the silicone nest body embedded into the cotton body improve the softness, resilience, pressure resistance, supportability, toughness, and anti-deformation performance of the cotton body. The portion of the structure protruding from the surface of the cotton body can be bonded with the glue layer stably to further improve the interlayer stability of the elastic silicone cotton structure and the bonding stability with other materials and prevent interlayer separation, so that the structure has a high practical value.
