Glass laminates with improved flatness and methods for forming the same
11247435 · 2022-02-15 · ·

A glass laminate includes a non-glass substrate with a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. A glass sheet is laminated to the first surface of the non-glass substrate. A barrier film is laminated to the second surface of the non-glass substrate and includes a first surface adjacent to the non-glass substrate, a second surface opposite the first surface. A thickness of the barrier film can be at most about 0.5 mm. The second surface of the barrier film can define an outer surface of the glass laminate. The barrier film can be a multi-layer barrier film with a metal layer and a polymer layer. An absolute value of a flatness of the glass laminate determined according to European Standard EN 438 after exposure to 23° C. and 90% relative humidity for 7 days can be at most about 3 mm/m.

GLASS COVER
20170259531 · 2017-09-14 ·

The present disclosure relates to a glass cover, particularly a glass cover used in a vehicle roof, which includes a glass pane, anti-shatter layer means arranged on an underside of the glass pane, and an encapsulation formed on an edge region of the glass pane wherein the anti-shatter layer means covers the whole underside of the glass pane and extends into the encapsulation.

DESICCANT POUCH FOR FACE COVERINGS

The present invention provides a desiccant pouch for use with a face covering. In one embodiment the desiccant pouch has a desiccant layer having a first side and a second side, a filter layer attached to the first side of the desiccant layer, and a carrier attached to the second side of the desiccant layer. In another embodiment, the desiccant pouch has a desiccant layer having a first side and a second side, a first carrier attached to the first side of the desiccant layer, and a second carrier attached to the second side of the desiccant layer.

LAMINATED GLASS FOR VEHICLE

A laminated glass including two facing glass plates and an interlayer film disposed between the two glass plates. The interlayer film has a resin layer having a storage modulus of 1000 MPa or more at a temperature of 25° C. and a frequency of 1×10.sup.5 Hz. The laminated glass may be a windshield for an automobile.

BALLISTIC GLASS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS AND ASSEMBLIES

A ballistic glass assembly may include a first layer of a poly ethylene terephthalate (PET) adhesive film. The ballistic glass assembly may further include a second layer of glass. The ballistic glass assembly may also include a substantially transparent impact resistant material positioned on an opposite side of the second layer from the first layer.

Dielectric thin film coatings for unidirectional and bidirectional wavelength selective reflective color generation
11364708 · 2022-06-21 · ·

Multilayer films including thin film coating structures are provided that generate colors through certain reflective mechanisms. Both opaque and transparent applications are demonstrated. A coating of a thin metal layer provides a reflective surface on which one or more colors are generated, where the metal layer can control a general level of transparency of the overall multilayer film. Inclusion of one or more dielectric layers, adjustment of thicknesses thereof, and the number and order in which such dielectric layers appear in the multilayer film can be tailored to generate unique colors with unique properties.

Vehicle interior component and method of making a vehicle interior component

A vehicle interior component and method of making a vehicle interior component where a plurality of hollow stitch acceptance holes are formed in a component substrate to accommodate a stitch seam in a decorative covering that is attached to the component substrate. The stitch seam extends through the decorative covering to create filled stitch acceptance holes from the hollow stitch acceptance holes. The stitch seam can be created after an in-mold grain process in which the component substrate and decorative covering are laminated together.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MULTI-LAYER STACK AND MULTI-LAYER STACK
20220152993 · 2022-05-19 ·

A method for manufacturing a multi-layer stack includes bonding a transparent plate to an outer surface of at least one of a first glass panel or a second glass panel of a glass panel unit with an intermediate film interposed therebetween. The glass panel unit includes: the first glass panel; the second glass panel; and an evacuated space provided between the first glass panel and the second glass panel. A plurality of spacers are provided in the evacuated space between the first glass panel and the second glass panel. A pressure applied for bonding the glass panel unit and the transparent plate together is less than a compressive strength of the plurality of spacers.
