The present invention relates to multilayer films used to protect a surface, in particular, to such films used to protect surfaces of articles e.g., mobile electronics display protections, smartphones, tablets), industrial touch screens (e.g. machine interfaces), UV stable surfaces and glass protections for machine housings and cockpits (e.g. caterpillars, dumpers), etc.), and, more particularly, to such a multilayer protective film backed by a silicone-based pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) and having either an aliphatic polyurethane layer or an aliphatic thermoplastic polyurethane layer on top of an aliphatic thermoplastic polyurethane layer, where the two aliphatic polyurethane layers have different physical and/or chemical properties. The present invention also relates to an article that is protected by the multilayer film as well as a method for making the multilayer protective film.

Photosensitive electrically conductive structure and touch sensor

A photosensitive electrically conductive structure includes: a substrate; a releasing photosensitizing resin layer disposed on the substrate; a nano silver layer disposed on the releasing photosensitizing resin layer; and a photosensitive electrically conductive layer disposed on an edge of the nano silver layer. A visible region is defined in the photosensitive electrically conductive structure where the nano silver layer is not covered by the photosensitive electrically conductive layer and a peripheral wiring region is defined in the photosensitive electrically conductive structure where the nano silver layer is covered by the photosensitive electrically conductive layer. The releasing photosensitizing resin layer has an average molecular weight (Mn) greater than 3,000 but less than 100,000, and the releasing photosensitizing resin layer, the nano silver layer, and the photosensitive electrically conductive layer are patterned. A touch sensor includes at least one layer of the photosensitive electrically conductive structure.

Photochromic polyurethane laminate

A photochromic polyurethane laminate that is constructed to solve certain manufacturing difficulties involved in the production of plastic photochromic lenses is disclosed. The photochromic laminate includes at least two layers of a resinous material and a photochromic polyurethane layer that is interspersed between the two resinous layers and which contains photochromic compounds. The polyurethane layer is formed by curing a mixture of a solid thermoplastic polyurethane, at least one isocyanate prepolymer, at least one photochromic compound, and a stabilizing system.

ANTI-ICING STACK

Anti-icing stacks for protecting an aerodynamic surface are described. In some embodiments, an anti-icing stack includes an anti-icing layer, an elastomeric erosion protection layer, and an additional layer. The erosion protection layer is disposed between the anti-icing layer and the additional layer. The additional layer has a thickness greater than the thickness of the erosion protection layer and a tensile modulus of no more than the tensile modulus of the erosion protection layer. The additional layer may be a foam adhesive layer.

The high refractive film is configured to have a wedge angle of 0.0028 rad to 0.0042 rad in the longitudinal section thereof.

MULTILAYER DENTAL APPLIANCES AND RELATED METHODS AND SYSTEMS

A dental appliance for positioning a patient's teeth includes a removable orthodontic tooth positioning appliance having teeth receiving cavities shaped to directly receive at least some of the patient's teeth and apply a resilient positioning force to the patient's teeth. The appliance includes a hard polymer layer having a hard polymer layer elastic modulus disposed between a first soft polymer layer having a first soft polymer layer elastic modulus and a second soft polymer layer having a second soft polymer layer elastic modulus. The hard polymer layer elastic modulus is greater than each of the first soft polymer layer elastic modulus and the second soft polymer layer elastic modulus. At least one of the first soft polymer layer and the second soft polymer layer has a flexural modulus of greater than about 35,000 psi.
